I love my cheap BJDs. I am really having fun with them. I buy dolls that I like. Not because they are 'the thing' or because I want the whole collection. Because I like them. ;-) And I usually buy used. I hope you have fun with this doll. Seems like a fun doll to me! ;-)
Kinder bjd collectors should have their own group, website, forums and etc so newbies will go to them instead of being discouraged by the other mean bjd collectors. Kinder bjd collecter should also spread the knowledge about cheaper legit bjds so the newbies will know where to buy cheap legits instead of buying a recast.
I don’t know about other brands of BJDs, but it kind of bothers me that Fairyland Bjds (the Minifees at least) have seam lines and at times uneven coloring and shines yet recasts and even cheaper legit Bjds such as Doll Leaves don’t. They worry about recasts but shouldn’t legit BJD companies at least improve their quality control. I have seen a recast Fairlyland Minifee and was honestly shocked at how good the quality was. People make excuses for the poor quality because it is Fairyland but If cheaper legit companies can have no seam lines and even coloring, what is their excuse?
I think I say somewhere in my video that some fake products i've seen are as good as the real thing. Quality control is an important factor in buying products, but that is up to consumer to speak with their wallets and buy other legit brands. However the key word here is 'legit'. Better quality fake products is still supporting theft. I think its more a moral stance, whatever way we slice it - if an artist spends their time and money developing a piece of art, it is wrong for someone else to profit from stealing their design.
@@KiwiKollector I agree with you on that. There are more affordable legit options out there and I honestly think that there should be more discussions about where and how to get them. When I first got into BJDs, I did not know that since the first things you see online when you search are the more popular, expensive ones. Heck, never even heard of recasts and what they mean. I guess what I am trying to say is that pro-artists usually shut down the lines of communication as soon as they hear the word “recast”, thus limiting the amount of information out there. And because some brands are more popular than others, I feel that people make excuses for them. Here’s the thing about morality regarding art...and it’s not pretty...people care less about art theft because they do not see the amount of work that goes into the piece. Artistry and morality, unfortunately, is intangible. Most consumers care about the finished product that they care actually see and touch. An artist could spend a thousand hours on a piece but if a counterfeit is created with equal or better quality at a great price point then people are going to go for that. What I would like to see is that pro-artists be kinder and more open to discussions and support more affordable brands by steering newbies to them. In doing so, I feel that it will help the community be seen as less toxic and support positive competition that will up the quality control in different companies.
@@sukisakain That is what i'm trying to do :). I don't judge or care if someone buys a fake (I have and I do, I buy legit dolls too). I'd rather get the information out there as to why recasts aren't something to be supported or celebrated than condemn people for doing it. We were all newbies once and had no idea what we were doing. I felt the best way to get the message across was to have videos about fakes, be honest in their quality and write/speak as to how it hurts the actual hobby. I personally wanted to have a legit Dollpamm to compare this to but the one I want is discontinued!
@@KiwiKollector I wish more people act like you. I have never joined any bjd forum or community nor am I planning to since the few interactions I have seen have left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am glad you have a kinder mindset. 😊 By the way, try searching BJD dolls in Google and the search results in images are mostly from Aliexpress, Ebay and Amazon. Yet people get mad at newbies for accidentally buying recasts.
Original bjds can stand on their own and can pose well. My first doll is a recast and I wasn't contented with her because she can't stand well or pose well so i decided to buy an orginal one. Now I have 3 bjds and they are great models in photo shoots nver regreted it but i regreted buying a recast.
@@khioneyui My minifee fairyland recasts from aliexpress stand and pose very well. They were sent to me with a beautiful make ups on exactly how I wanted. After some years of having them I noticed a crease at the knee cap of my one doll that got bigger even after trying to glue it. When I contacted the aliexpress store that I bought them from they told me to just buy anything I choose from their store and they'll add new knees for free. So I'm very satisfied buying from them and never regretted that. As I heard original fairyland dolls have seamlines and are very expensive. Would never buy that for so much money. I thought buying them at aliexpress price was already too expensive. But they're taking care of their customers. I read that when fairyland dolls had faults people had to spent a lot of money for getting a replacement parts.
This makes me feel kinda sad. I have been waiting since august for a Dollpamm neo 68 doll... it’s currently Mid November. I haven’t heard anything except payment went thru 20 seconds after I ordered. It was over 700.00 usd total. So I understand people’s frustration. But... nothing will beat the pure satisfaction knowing I supported a wonderful small artist and his kids, or beat the quality and hard work that goes into a GENUINE LEGIT doll, or how happy I’ll be holding dressing and playing with my legit Dollpamm doll when she does come. It will be worth the wait. These dolls will give you discount joy.
I feel it is not stated enough on real vs fake videos that those who buy fakes are not only hurting the artists, BUT also hurting those who purchase and support real artists. It is a selfish act.
@@KiwiKollector true, someone worked so hard on this thing of beauty, this work of art, this doll, for possibly YEARS and then they cast it, someone buys a cast of it, and recasts it hundreds of times again and sells it as their own art doll, as if they made it! So sad. I get that you see it, you want it, you find “it” at a incredibly great price, it even says “authentic handmade item” but if it sounds too good to be true 99.999% of the time it is. Don’t buy it: think of the artist’s hard work and family, save the $$$ or buy it on layaway payments. You won’t regret it! Now it’s art you can feel good about AND show off without shame of knowing it’s fake and STOLEN.
Yes i agree. My first bjd is a recast i can't make her stand on her own she always sits or falls down. She has limited poses and I had a struggle taking her pics. But now i bought 3 legit bjds and I'm glad i bought them worth the money.

so my opinion i get dolls from alli to do the face ups myself and i enjoy it the quality of the ones i have gotten are good quality. I uinderstand why they say these are "fake" but is there really a difference bettween getting a dall like this and facing up a monster high doll i think as long as you love the doll and your happy with her it shouldnt matter what fake is.
Hi there, as stated in description it is the moral question: If you developed a product, but your time and money into making it and had a large elitest following which paid big and reasonable money for your design and hard work ---- would you think it was fair if someone else stole it then mass reproduced it at lesser quality? Now I don't care if people buy fakes or not, I'm very much a live and let live type person, BUT my stand is always this: I think it is only fair if you buy fakes that you buy an official doll to give the artist their due payment. Whether you do or not, is always your call.. and yes, it is very important to love your dolls - mine are family lol :).
