  • In this video Shane goes into detail about his process for building his two-piece, socket and tenon, takedown bows. This became a bit lengthy, so we split it into two parts. Part two is coming very soon.

You're making that look easy, master workmanship! The explanation you gave on highly technical work was great!

Shane, I was just wondering what you charged for repairs.I have a jim spears selfbow with smallcracks, and I have a recurve off a bear pattern that sam burns helped me build that has delaminated.

I guess it really depends on how extensive the repairs are. I charge $50 an hour. A moderate repair can cost $200-$300

Can you rip the glass through a table saw

The glass for the Tenon caps? Yes you can rip glass in a table saw. Just put a regular abrasive blade in for a metal chop saw or you can buy a diamond blade. We use a diamond blade, but an abrasive blade will work great
