With that in mind, Tennessee has a more efficient running game (Ohio State’s O-line is Swiss cheese, and Tennessee’s D-line is solid), and that will likely win the day. Ryan Day will feel pressured to abandon his careful play calling “not to lose” against Michigan and will go for a balanced passing attack, with little balance running the ball. I’m guessing the Tennessee secondary will pounce on this and get a pick or two. Tennessee Volunteer here. I am stocked about this game! Much respect to the Buckeyes, yall have a great program with rich tradition. As for the game I know both teams will be up for it. Ive never in my life watched more OSU games in my life than this year. Most on UA-cam after the fact. Just based on what ive seen and going by the two losses each have and how they lost. The strength of Defense and dynamics of the offenses ive got to go with Tennessee 21-10. OSU is favored by a touchdown. I just don't see yall getting past our Defense. I think it lays in the lap of the Tennessee run game, the Vols passing game will be challenged by Ohio state’s secondary. So if Tennessee can run the ball and the defense can play a decent game that will be the way the vols win.

Ohio State was heavily favored in their loss to Michigan. TN lost on the road against Arkansas, and lost to Georgia between the hedges, where Georgia hasn't lost since 2019. Tennessee has played better teams than OSU. Buckeyes really never been tested this season and the one time things went wrong for them they gave up. I don't know how much hone field helps them. Michigan had one real strength - D-Line. OSU had one real weakness - O-Line. Ryan Day was stubborn and played the game between the tackles. He will not make that mistake vs the Vol's strong D-Line. TN is better than UM, but I think OSU wins by 10.

Joe - On your point about Howard , its not about the wr for Ohio State getting open. Im not sure theres a group of db’s that can actually cover them. The problem is, 1.) That buckeye oline, you lose simmons, then you lose michalski, then you lose mclaughin who is up for the Remington. that hurts 2.) Howard doesnt always see the field. There were several times verse michigan where Tre Henderson was wide open on a checkdown and he goes untouched for 30+
