      Thank you @@TechWatcher I read that the Android operating system can crash the TV. I was wondering which had the better OS? @@mistertibbs74 I was in the same boat, I pulled the trigger and got the Philips. I wasn't looking for an overly expensive TV, but the ambilight sold it for me, it's immersive for me personally. What TV did you buy after all?

      @mistertibbs74 2 роки тому

      @@tom_ber4549 I got the 43" PUS8556 in the end. I like it for the most part, especially the ambilight when I want to really get into watching sci fi and action movies. I just find that it isn't as solid as the experience I've had with Samsung TVs. Sometimes it just forgets the sound bar, occasionally the screen will have stripes on, software updates tend to screw up the TV. The last one stopped connection to the UK based TV channel streaming apps.
      All that said, I can't imagine not having ambilight on a TV now. I never thought it would add so much to the viewing experience.

    • @tom_ber4549
      @tom_ber4549 2 роки тому

      @@mistertibbs74 I ended up getting the 50" PUS8506. I've only had it since this morning but I can't notice any lines or anything major so far, just some slight blooming in large dark areas which is to be expected I guess. As for sound, I use headphones connected to my Xbox series x controller, but thanks for the heads up on the connectivity issues with the soundbar if I do get one in the future (if that problem applies to my model). Ambilight, just wow! Maybe the novelty will wear off but for now I'm absolutely loving it!
