Hi! 7 years ago, this video convinced me to buy this car and it has served me faithfully since that time. Still remember at that time, the people at the petrol kiosk all surprised when I ask for diesel full tank. Drove to Tuas almost everyday and the fuel savings were incredible. Even today I still pay like $1 for around 7km after discount. I'm trading it in in a few days but thought I'd come back to watch the video which started it all haha. Thank you Jackie!

What do you mean "thinking about giving it a I don't know?"
For the price, it's an incredible car, especially the 4 cilinder version. Powerful enough to overcome most of the road cars nowadays (in sport's mode) and economical enough in eco mode. It's amazing how much I saved since I bought it.
It's perfect for a small family (daddy, mommy and baby on the back seat, personal experience) and it also as a 5* security rating (you forgot to mention it).
I recommend it and I'll be keeping it because I love the rear wheel drive, which the newer 2019 version lacks.
I really think the rear wheel drive defines BMW and the recent change will hurt them in the long run.

I actually really like my 116d. The fuel economy is great, it's quiet and feels "premium". And in black it looks great as well. Great vid btw!

Guy knows nothing about cars. If you put petrol in a diesel car it can do engine damage and most probably wouldn't run for very long. The normal procedure is to drain the tank and refuel. If you've been trying to drive the car with the wrong fuel as suggested in this video you'd also have to have fuel lines, injectors etc flushed. Diesel cars burn fuel in a vey different way to petrol cars. As petrol is far more flamable it ignites at a much higher temperature - hence the presence of glow plugs in diesel cars. Also you can buy the one series in 3 door hatchback - its actually cheaper too! The three cylinder engine used in the LCI's is borrowed from the Mini.
