    "Malamente" es "Badly" : el tema pertenece al capítulo 1 (Augurio) del álbum "El mal querer" y como "augurio" habla de que una relación de pareja está yendo mal, es tóxica y que ella se está empezando a dar cuenta de dónde está metida. La historia se va desarrollando en capítulos que son cada una de las canciones del álbum el mal querer. Es increíble porque el disco no es solo un disco, es una historia.

    Malamente = badly. About how the relationship is going. Try react or at least listen to De Plata. That's one of her best.

    Jezz you got a good spread of her “style” (she really doesn’t have one)
    1. To this video: all Rosalia’s videos (and her team) has tons of symbolism for example she in the bike is a bull, the guy in the purple robe (a catholic religious symbol) about obligatory pain imposed by society... It is a crazy amount of them.
    2. It is the 1st song of her 2nd Album, lots of Grammys and the most successful mix of Flamenco/Urban to date. That album is a masterpiece but is difficult as she works with really complex sounds, it tells a story by chapters. This is chapter 1 - Augurio (a feeling of something bad coming)
    3. If you are going to keep marathoning I suggest:
    - Follow the album, just make sure you have the lyrics and be open minded.
    - Go through her hits, next Con Altura (1.4 Billion views)
    - Or check her last Flamenco heavy influenced song recently released Juro Que (After you should do her Grammy performance of this song and Malamente, she is great live too)

    Awsome reaction! And I fully agree with you, if the music is really good understanding the lyrics is not that important. By the way "Malamente" means " Badly". This song and the album to which this song belongs "El Mal Querer" (The bad loving) is all about a toxic relationship. The album is based on an old book and each song its a chapter. This is the first chapter (Augurio - means Omen, something bad that you feel is gonna happen in the future). The guy at the beginning of the song running after Rosalia is probably her husband/partner (possessive and violent), probably a truck driver (more on this in other songs like "Pienso en tu mira"). The song Is full of symbolism and Spanish culture references, not easy to grasp. The hooded guy on the skateboard seems like a KKK member but he's not, he is dressed in a traditional catholic Spanish Easter outfit (KKK took theirs from that). Before going too deep in Rosalia complex and wonderful music I suggest beginning with more easy popular songs like "Yo x ti tu x mi" or "Con Altura" and continue then with the masterpiece that is the Mal Querer album. Waiting for more Rosalia reactions! Greetings from Madrid - Spain!

    If you want more vocal, react to a live performance called “de plata (directo Sevilla)” if you want a more popular song react to “yo x ti, tu x mi (with Ozuna)”
    This is the first song from her last album which is really creative because she brings flamenco with other types of music, it is based on a 13th century text about a relationship gone wrong, that one is about bad omens

  • @jmsaresyt

    "Malamente" means badly, but in a evil sense, rather than wrongly, which could be other meaning. Using this word shows where she comes from, Catalonia, because in the rest of Spain and for that matter all of the Spanish speaking countries, the usual word, meaning exactly the same, is just "mal".

    • @elenaandresrodriguez2206
      @elenaandresrodriguez2206 4 роки тому +3

      Malamente" is an Andalusian expression, so it does not say where Rosalía comes from, and in Spain it is a quite extended expression, I am from Madrid and it is also used, she uses it because just like she sings with an Andalusian accent, which is the accent traditional flamenco, also use this type of expressions.

  • @pepegarcia8389
    @pepegarcia8389 4 роки тому +3

    Rosalia uses images and references to the Hispanic culture (from Spain). Bullfights, icons of the Catholic religion of a region of Spain called Andalusia. Even the adverb "malamente" is also a form that is only used in Andalusia, it means badly.
    She also uses an environment from the outskirts of industrial cities, trucks ...
    the song tells the story of a bad way of loving a person (badly), it is based on a 13th century poem named "flamenco".
    As you can see the universe of Rosalia is very complex.
