I was at the May 2nd concert in Detroit. If the band was pissed at other you'd never know it. It was the best show I ever saw. In my life. My buddies and I did something really stupid while Jimi was talking and introducing Hear My Train a Comin'. We yelled out "Play Wild Thing! Burn your guitar". Hendrix put his head down tightened his mouth and looked quite miffed. We were in the front row so he definitely heard us. Burn hey , who needed a burning guitar? The Experience was staggering from the moment Jimi opened with Spanish Castle Magic .
Man your videos are incredible ⚡I'm blown away with the detail Fantastic Brilliant Man just Brilliant ⚡TCB⚡He just never stopped no vacation for Hendrix that Damn Jefferies shady is an understatement
I like Noel’s honest description of MSG as “a barn”. It’s ridiculous that serious bands play music there. It’s a sports stadium! This is such a good UA-cam channel. Thanks!
Terrific as usual! You can really see that Jimi is starting to have a hard time with all the fame stuff. Also, its too bad that P.A systems were so poor in 1969. There's a reason he had those 3 Marshall stacks blazing.😋😋
I've been listening to this channel since the first episode and while I know the eventual outcome, it still makes me sad. You can see greediness take over and squander true talent. I cant blame the guys for being so burnt out. I would have been overwhelmed also.
I had never heard of Little Miss lover being played live! And I want to live today, should be I don't live today. Tuscaloosa and Charlotte have the same exact clothing but I have diagnosed the patterns on the headband to tell them apart. Luckily we have a few color pictures. Indianapolis, providence, and Baltimore all have almost exactly the same clothing with Indianapolis having the longer headband. It is fun to figure out the little details that tell the gigs apart if you cannot see the stage well enough. Thank you very much for doing this videos! The photos ofJimi playing backstage at Madison Square Garden show the rare 1969 Flying V (2nd of 3) that was really only seen on the Lonnie Youngblood album cover besides this backstage appearance
I'm very happy the San Diego Sports Arena show got great reviews as I bought a cd of it & thought it sounded like a great show. I just wish I was old enough then to be able to comprehend how great the music & the performance was. My parents wouldn't have taken me to that show at 11 years old anyway.
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day also Saturday was a friends birthday also may the fourth be with you also happy star wars day also happy cinco de mayo ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😅😊😊😊😊😊
At least Jimi acknowledged Chicago & Terry Kath even if the crowd was lost on them. Shame Terry & Jimi never got to do a album as they had talked about at one point & Jimi knew Terry was not one to toss aside as the critics seemed to not know how to handle them nor Jimi . How these fools kept their so called critic job is beyond me. I was hoping for a bit more on The Baltimore show as i have heard tapes & to those that were there it was a good show.
Thank you AGAIN for more great content. I almost went to the Detroit concert but didn't make it. I did over the years see many of the legendary groups preform at Cobo. I never saw a group able to get that great of sound there an always left underwhelmed.
They didn't play Little Wing in San Diego, although the original album Hendrix In the West erroneously credits it and Voodoo Child SR as being from there. Any Hendrix fan worth their salt knows those 2 numbers were actually from February 1969's 2nd Royal Albert Hall show and that Mike Jeffery was simply trying to pull a fast one as executive producer of that record. I can't believe Noel actually thought they played here in San Diego, he sounds so bitter in this video.
Damn I could have sworn this was an actual person this doesn't sound like Al damn this world is weird all this time okay but I still like the information on Hendrix but wow how does this Al Know all this information about Hendrix🤔
Hey my friend, please understand that we use AI for the narration simply because it offers a superior experience to me reading it out! We do not use AI to create our episodes. Hope that clarifies the issue for you? Best wishes.
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOWwell I tell you guys one thing well first off I just got the message LOL but I'll tell you one thing this Al sounds just like a real human I'm serious good job 👍 one thing I forgot to say LOL this is going to sound silly but there were times I would leave messages on here thinking I was actually talking to a real person LOL because the voice seems so natural 😂

The Courthouse where Jimi appeared is still around. It's called Old City Hall. Maple Leaf Gardens is still around but now its a Giant grocery store .
Indeed!

Thank you very much indeed for another fantastic episode. Your work is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOW My pleasure!
"BRAVO" for another good one bro!!!!!!!

31:41 pic was a poster I had on the wall! To get a flashback like that at the very end of an episode was kinda special. Great series..Great work

Great info and insight into the truth that went down during Jimi hendrixs band and life as musicians! Thanks

Thanks for another wonderful episode. It sounds like the gig at MSG was Shite but I would have done anything to be there had I been born earlier.

THE VOICE is not Ai. It’s a dude. THE VOICE is awesome. Piss off. I love it. ✌️❤️
Sure it is...
See above:
😅hahah It’s a clear voice but rather depressing and robotic, I reckon people would generally agree with me!
Equipment was different
back in the day.
Totally!
It’s a shame there were not better sound systems and staging back then.
Jimi was not pleased with his MSG gig...afterwards, he wrote a poem of sorts..."I escaped from the Roman Coliseum".
Today we are spoiled by
technology.
@@toneyisaiah3556spoiled with technology maybe, but widely underprivileged with the artists using it.

What did Jimi have strapped to his head @22.14 with wires and duct tape. Looks like something that The Jetsons would wear.
Hey my friend, I believe they are headphones? Cheers
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOW Thanks. I should have known that, but the headphones look very odd.
Love the info but I have to wonder - is the narrator real or an AI?
