Absolutely perfect. I just started looking into webcam putting to use with my Mevo+ and GSPro. I've been looking all over for exactly this information and finally found what I've been looking for. Thank you very much. Time to go shopping for a webcam and cable and give it a go.
Makes me so happy to hear that, it was tough when I started finding the exact video to help with Mevo specifically. Let me know how it goes, check back in!
I'm sure you're crushing it with your setup! It really is such a fantastic thing when you first set it up and dial it in, you feel like a whole new sim
Hey! My white golf ball seems to read perfectly same as the red ball. I have it set to red. Using a slow motion camera mounted to the ceilings. It’s pretty awesome to be putting. Question though. Is there a way to eliminate the 3-5 second delay on full shots in GSPro? I’m using the mevo plus too.
Slow mo camera on the ceiling, super jealous! So the delay can vary, I truthfully only have about a 1-2 sec delay. 3-5 seems large, so I'm not sure of anything else contributing to that other than it just being a lot for your PC (the GPU). I really am not aware of fixes for the delay time other than making sure you're not like maxing out your computer while running everything
Hey thanks for the video. I got mine working roughly. Need a powered cable I think to get the webcam on the ceiling. Curious when what you do for short chips around the green. Previously GSPro would select “chipping” or “Normal”. The only way I could get it to work reliably was to select chipping and full swing in the fs app. Not really automatic like the rest. Is there a work around I don’t know about? Thanks!
Not that I know of 100%, some people have said you can use "Full Swing" instead of "Play Mode" when opening the FS App? That may be a new route that would get rid of the clicking back and forth, I'm going to have to give it a shot.
I use Springboks connector with my MLM2Pro and putting is really good with the webcam even though it can be hard to get the light settings right to pick up the ball as clearly as possible. The cool thing with the MLM2Pro is that you don't need to do the ROI process when you have the device directly connected to the PC with Bluetooth. I think he worked out how to get the data input directly from the device without needing to open any middle man app. I wonder if it could be done the same way with the Mevo+ without needing to use the FS Golf app? Springbok is awesome though. Have you ever had any trouble with the connector getting the ROI numbers wrong sometimes? That happened to me when I was using the connector mirroring the iPhone or iPad MLM2PRO app onto my PC. Nice video!
Appreciate that feedback! The Mevo doesn’t have the Bluetooth connection directly to the springbok, but from my experience, as long as you set up the ROI’s correctly the first time, I haven’t had any issues with the numbers reading It’s all about taking the time and setting up those boxes correctly the first time
@@lindencc Thanks for the reply. I just bought a Mevo+ second hand so I will give it a try. Unfortunately I need to purchase FS Golf for PC separately because I bought an older version of the Mevo. I certainly don't want to have to do the ROI process from an iPad through airplay again!
@@John-ei5uz Yea thats the biggest bummer is buying the software, as someone who likes to create their sim as a reasonable cost, I still would suggest doing the FS Golf PC over airplaying from the iphone....such a headache
@@lindencc I set up the Mevo+ using Springboks connector and as you said it's working really well! I just realized that the second hand Mevo+ I got for $500 actually has the Pro Package installed so I am really happy with my purchase. I got it as junk on an auction site because they said the battery wouldn't recharge so I just replaced the battery for $15 and it was good to go! I keep seeing really good reviews about the Mevo+ but am still not sure about it as I am used to the numbers I get from my MLM2PRO. The shots with good contact generally come out pretty identical but sidespin numbers on shots not hit so well are all over the place. there might have been interference using both devices at the same time though. When I used the Mevo on its own it seem to feel more stable.
Congrats on the value buy, always a huge win! Yes, I've heard using both can do that, but Mevo definitely has issues with side spin at times. Super important to use the RCT balls, having really good lighting, and nothing in the radar's way
No, so you need to connect the Springbok connector to both GSPro and FS Golf App. You register shots in the FS Golf App, it sends to springbok, and then springbok sends to GSPro.
I have seen that happen before, whenI was first getting started...I would start by downloading and using the version right before the one you're currently using. Sometimes the newest one isnt stable enough for some of our Mevos Let me know how that goes, we can go from there
@ everything is good to go, except for the APIv1 connect on gspro. It shows im connected to the LM but it also shows not ready. Is there a fix for this?!
I'm having multiple issues now. I can connect to GS pro, my webcam says it is running (but now it doesn't pull up the webcam screen? so I can't get to the advanced settings stuff) but my biggest issue is even though I can connect to Mevo + and mirror shots and do the ROI, it will not verify AND when I try to start up after that it says I cannot connect to the API and may have a bad path? (set up with FS Golf PC as my mirror and left the path blank). Tried to download an earlier version of the connector...still no go. Any suggestions?
So in the putting settings, you want to try out different camera ID numbers until you find the one that brings up your camera. As far as the bad path, which version of the springbok are you using?
@@lindencc It's not the camera settings. I know it is camera 0. It worked before as well. I'm using the most up to date version (I have erased the whole thing and have tried multiple times). I tried the version right before this one (which was a beta version) and same thing. Thanks for responding.
The GoPro HERO11 Black, HERO10 Black, HERO9 Black, and HERO8 Black can be used as webcams with the GoPro Webcam app and a USB cable, so therefore that would just be your webcam you would choose, so yes. Unfortunately older models you cant. Or at least you need a capture card and its a whole workaround which would be wayyy more expensive than picking up a webcam.

100% this will dial in longer putts. That seems to be the real issue with Mevo+ putting by itself, you can sort of get away with shorter putts (even though sometimes it will send them screaming across the green ha). The beauty of this is that it is reading the speed at which the ball is traveling, and creates a fantastic read. The real fun in having this set up is two fold, the first is being able to hit birdie putts from 10-20 feet, but the second (and maybe more important) is being able to now lag putts from 30-60 without ruining rounds from gross misreads. Just make sure once you set it up, you play around with the settings and gspro stimp number for the greens, and you will have a very true to life feel.
