Unreal Engine killed gaming industry and there are still people who defend it and spread propaganda from Epic, but they don't have any real proof for their statements, it's obviously not easier to make a good optimized not buggy games in Unreal Engine, it's more like vice versa.
I would say that DLSS looks definitelly much better on performance and ultra performance settings than FSR, when it's quality, I would say it's pretty much the same.
Try to lower settings that hits VRAM. Set FPS lock to 30/60. I did this, and that laggy moments are less often and occur shorter. Also FG can be one of the things that causing problem
Something weird with memory management in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - I would wager causing the majority of poor performance issues. There are arguably better looking games on UE5 that definitely don't need 20GB RAM at 1080p... hopefully devs can fix.
Your CPU is playing major role in this game... You need powerful CPU like i7 12700k or Ryzen 7 5800X to run flawless... my 12400f is literally struggling with RTX 4060 Ti in game and also Space Marine II... I upgraded to 14900k and now it runs cool... I am playing EPIC settings (except Texture high, Foliage High), DLAA, FG ON
I have Ryzen 5800X3D and 32 GB ram and it's mostly fine, but I still sometimes have drops to like 10 FPS for no obvious reason, stronger CPU will not help you I believe, it's just problem with optimalisation and bugs.
Dlss softness you can fix with reshade sharpening.
Tree popping and frame gen mandatory it just kills game for me

No one fear I am here ❤
the goat is here ❤️
Is there less ghosting on DLSS3 FG than there is on FSR3 FG?

Will you also try the rog ally?
already have 😁
every 30 minutes or so i get stuck on 5 fps no matter the settings, only way to fix it is to restart the game. Haven’t found a mod to fix yet.
What's your processor???

I am guessing the Ryzen 5 5500 will struggle as well.
