All the OK Corral movies revolve around the relationship between Earp and Holliday. The one with Lancaster and Douglas is one of the best, I think. I hope you feel better soon, Terry! And watch out for interactions between regular meds and OTC cold remedies.
Really, really hate head colds, so I feel for you. I try not to touch my face while I'm out and wash when I get home. I have "Invasion of the Bee Girls" on a "Midnite Movies" double feature. Should be easy to find, if anybody wants one. (ed. It's on a KL BD.) Got the Criterion of "The Blob", but don't seem to have the remake. Will have to fix that. Got that same BD of "Curse of the Undead" ('cause it's Universal Horror) and an old WB DVD of "Adventures of Robin Hood".
I discovered during the pandemic that masking erased the twice yearly sinus blowups I had "enjoyed" for 30+ years. So, at certain times of the year, I break out the masks. Keeps face warmer, too, bonus. I bought a large collection of brightly colored, Mortal Kombat themed, soft cloth masks, so I always look cool and feel cozy while masking. I hope your head clears up soon! And thanks for this list! Somehow, several I haven't heard of, so now have to look them up. Thanks for spreading the word!
Hey Terry, wishing you a speedy recovery (I'm actually down with a cold too but it's also cold here in Canada). I've actually seen 7 of the 10 films you listed and they are great films to watch when you're feeling well, under the weather. Funny thing about Valley of the Dolls is that I've actually found a deluxe DVD copy of Russ Meyer's (can it even be called a sequel?), Beyond the Valley of The Dolls at a supermarket where I do my grocery shopping for 8 Dollars Cdn (so a dollar more there) and one night decided to have it as a double feature with Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
I just rewatched the Hagman Blob last weekend. It's rather funny, but no doubt he was toking away on Jeannie's pink mist at the time. Hope you feel better soon
I like ghost tours for the creepy past history and old buildings. Just don't expect to see any ghosts lol I'll check out Curse Of The Undead, as I never seen it. Great list! Hope the head cold makes a quick exit. Thanks Terry
Quick recoveries Terry. Nice selection. I'm always looking out for anything with Errol Flynn and 70s raciness, raunchiness and sleaze is always on my radar so Invasion of the Bee Girls is a go. Valley of the Dolls used to be on tv occasionally - campy, silly - win, win.
Nice timing, the car broke down so I had to take buses for the first time in years (really) and now I've a dose from being packed in with sniffly people, I may have to check some of these out.
Get well soon. That Errol Flynn version of Robin Hood is my favorite version of that tale. I did a ghost tour in Edinburgh, Scotland which was somewhat informative but ended on a cheap scare. Seen all those Blob films, the remake was better than I thought it would be. Saw the not really a sequel Beyond the valley of the Dolls which is so camp and written by Roger Ebert who we saw on TV every week reviewing films with Gene Siskel. The others sound good.
Beyond TVOTD is great fun. The 1938 Robin Hood is so iconic that I can watch it regularly. We did an Edinburgh ghost tour 20 years ago and went through the vaults under the city. Great historic stuff but the 'ghost' stuff is bullshit. We did get a nice dram of whiskey afterward.
Terry, I feel your pain. I am going through a big box of Kleenex each day; it is great having a head cold when the high temp for the next few days will be near 0 (F) or -18 (C). Hope you get well soon and once again thanks for the great suggestions.
The edition of Robin Hood I have is only on DVD too but it's a 2 disc edition with a lot of extras, including the documentary Glorious Technicolor. I can't find an equivalent blu, which is why I still haven't upgraded, much as I'd like to.
We got a whole pile of classic westerns on very special from ☂️ I like James Garner playing Wyatt Earp.😹 Also Sunset, and of course Maverick the movie wth some Australian and JG 😻
Oh dear Terry. Get well soon, mate. What ? Elsie & Doris Waters ? Good grief, my old mum - God rest her - was of that vintage. She loved plenty of the British stars of the day, but she drew the line at those two ladies. I'm watching this post while I'm sat in the cinema lounge waiting to go in to see 'Nosferatu'. It's a lunchtime viewing, always the best time of day to encounter a vampire PS One movie to watch if you want to see someone struggling with a worse headcold than yours ... The Apartment
We need to get Curse of the Undead. Can you tell I am watching on the tv with the iPad linked so I can type way too much stream of consciousness type comments 🎏😹😹😹

I'm monitoring the meds carefully. Thanks.
Get better, dude. Thanks for the recommendations.
My pleasure!

I think Bee Girls is also on Tubi.
Get well soon! Great choices. 2 weeks in another town is one of my favorites.
I love that movie.

I hadn't had a cold for years, either. Even a fairly mild dose like this completely sucks.
I hope you feel better soon, Terry! I loved your story about the _Two Weeks in Another Town_ ashtray.
Those Cinzano ashtrays are design classics.
Flynn as Robin Hood, the OK Corral, Chow Yun Fat -- I'm in. (The Nakatomi Plaza shirt is appreciated.) Thanks, Ter.
My pleasure, William.
You had me at, "...like a xenomorph." I'm in! Doesn't matter what it is. Hope you're feeling better.
I'm on the mend, Adam. Thanks. 😀

I have Beyond The Valley of the Dolls, too and the soundtrack on vinyl.
The double feature sounds great!
I just rewatched the Hagman Blob last weekend. It's rather funny, but no doubt he was toking away on Jeannie's pink mist at the time. Hope you feel better soon
Thanks, Ed. The Hagman Blob is fun.

Thanks. Slowly getting better.

Yep. A range of movies is what's called for when you're crook.
Nice timing, the car broke down so I had to take buses for the first time in years (really) and now I've a dose from being packed in with sniffly people, I may have to check some of these out.
Mask up and watch movies.

Get well soon. This was a great episode, outlining unrelated films. Take care'
Thanks, Brett. I'm working on it.

My pleasure. Stay warm up there. Those temperatures are scarily low.
Perfect timing...I'm home in bed with post nasal drip and a runny nose.
Take care. Stay hydrated. 😀
Feel better, Buddy........
Thanks, Bill. 😀

Either version, you get the movie in saturated technicolor, so that's great.
Feel better Terry. That's an order. 😉
I don't take orders but I was heading in that direction anyway. 😉
@@terrytalksmovies Lol, fair enough, Terry.
Damian has the Adventures of Robin Hood with “all the extras”. Includes Bugs Bunny cartoon. Double DVD set. 😸
Nice!
We got a whole pile of classic westerns on very special from ☂️ I like James Garner playing Wyatt Earp.😹 Also Sunset, and of course Maverick the movie wth some Australian and JG 😻
Sunset is an underrated little flick.
It sure is Terry. There's one scene in it where it definitely needs a Batman KAPOW ! graphic on screen. It's a beaut !
I love that stuff in movies. Pulp Fiction has a cartoon moment, too.
I love The Blob from 1958 better too. How often is a monster defeated by fire extinguishers.
Which is what happened basically in Terminator 2. 😉😀
Don't forget some tonic water. Be Safe.
I'm sure it's not malaria. 😉 Also, no gin in the house, so the tonic water is pointless.
Oh dear Terry. Get well soon, mate.

The Apartment
I watched the Apartment in 2023. Brilliant film.
@terrytalksmovies it sure is, Terry. There's one scene in The Apartment that definitely needs a Batman KAPOW ! graphic on screen. It's a beaut.
We need to get Curse of the Undead. Can you tell I am watching on the tv with the iPad linked so I can type way too much stream of consciousness type comments 🎏😹😹😹
LOL. However you communicate with me is fine. 😀
