Hi. Personally, I think the UI in A54 is more 'refined' and more elegant than MIUI.
Also , Samsung's phone itself seems better designed than Redmi's. The cameras+photo processing may be a tad better in Redmi (not talking megapixels but overall impression).
I hate Redmi's (Xiaomi's) bloatware - Samsung has less.
My personal choice would be Samsung here - despite Redmi's better overall performance if I would need to choose. However, I don't want to influence your decision - but I'm curious which one you'll pick. Let me know. Thx

I'm thinking about buying this phone, currently have an Oppo Reno 4 Lite and it's constantly overheating and battery life somedays last only 3 hours of mid gaming. Gaming performance is the most important for me, and the camera is another plus of this phone. The decision is beetween Redmi Note 12 Pro+ or this, what would you reccomend?

Hi. If you'd have a nice deal on Note 13 pro - this would be the right decision. Despite less in antutu than Xiaomi 13, the note 13 pro has 4 performance cores, which are just perfect for gaming.
I just bought a Rog series 8 for gaming, and may do a quick comparison video between the two.

Specify 'good'. Personally I find MIUI to be a bit cluttered with bloatware, but I appreciate the level of customization it offers and its performance, compared to stock android. Pozdrawiam:)
