New to tambour (we didn't learn this type of design in my costume design MFA way back in the 80s (wish we had!), but it seems like such a cool skill to have.
Mel....I would love hole a class in Berlin but travel and housing costs would make in cost way too much . However there is a young man in Berlin with whom I worked extensively several years ago on learning the technique and who I am sure would be able to assist your learning process. I would come to Philly in an instant I just dont have any connections for a venue for the class. It really helps to have someone local to help find a venue. I just finished a class at Shipwreck beads because local lady made the initial contact .
thank you .I do hope they are helpful! I generally use silk organza unless a design requires tulle or lace. To apply beads and sequins I use very basic machine seqing thread...usuay dual duty and it if is on sale all the better!
