General questions turtle den
1st movie dons arms are different to the others having more tricep, was this intentional design because of his bow staff training? Are there other subtle differences in the turtles like this?
Leos shell sits closer than the others, this is most likely so the actor can reach the swords, are here any other design changes made in all films for actor not creative reasons?
What instances are there of crew prop or other visible in shot through out the series?
I would say as a small honorable mention would be when Ralph starts off strong fighting the foot by himself on the roof top scene.

My personal favorite is when Splinter tells Danny of his early life and tragedy of his beloved Master Yoshi at the hands of young Shredder.
Another is the heartfelt moment of Splinter’s spirit in the campfire.
they way he leaves/trust danny to "get it" without blatantly saiying it: "no one ,really KNOWS. .. . but you wear his SYMBOL above your broooow. . ." dannys acting was perfect too: that "holy shit, i have the 666 of the antichrist" look he gets, as he BARELY touches it, like its poision now.

Marvellous list on TMNT 1 man 👌. You didn't include my favourite scene though which is when the turtles are meditating in the forest and Splinter tells them that true mastery is in the mind and that he loves them.
I'm going to say something that alot of people wont agree with but the first Ninja Turtle movie is pound for pound one of the best comic movies of all time. I'm talking it easily makes it into a top ten best comic movies and its better then majority of the MCU its just that damn good. This movie was ahead of it time and sadly I dont think we will ever see anther like it.

I know I'm a little late when my comment, but I could agree more with your opinion on the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie being in the top 10 comic movies ever. I do think it's possible to match it, with The Last Ronin being release this year. I really hope we get a live action version of this eventually.

Easily a Top 10 best comic book film? Hell, I'd say possibly Top 5.
Better than the majority of the MCU? Most definitely.
Ahead of its time? I agree 100%.
Sadly, we likely won't see anything like it ever again? Eh, there's hope. But if we don't, I won't complain, because of this masterpiece. 🍻
Not to mention, this film was independently made. What other film of any genre can boast of being independently made and that reached the levels of success this film achieved? 💯
The first movie is still the best and still my absolute favourite loved your top ten I already new the Splinter talking to Raph scene was going to be your no.1 it's mine too but I also loved when Raph was fighting the Foot on the roof of April's appartment!!

They need to re relies all 3 90's movies, stop making bad new ones and just give us the classics back.
I saw the first movie as a young kid and it was my introduction to the TMNT. I was born when it came out in 1991, then I saw the third one not realizing it was the third. I didn’t see the 2nd one until I happened upon it on VHS at a dollar store. And of course I refused to leave without it. Then the 2003 series came out and my love for these guys grew from there. I had never seen any of the original cartoon or read the comics until much later in life. These movies were the greatest along with the 2003 series to me because they were fun and comical but also had some serious tones at times, which I found later were closer to the comics. Later movies and shows just don’t hold a candle to these representations of the turtles. I like that they are darker like other mainstream superheroes. I want more like this in the future not so much the wacky, silly, lightheartedness of later versions and not behemoths with human lips... These clips make me want to watch these movies again even though I can quote each one word for word. Thanks for the video keep up the good work.

1990 tmnt movie is one of my all time favorites I don’t think anything could ever top it, one of my all time favorite scenes in that movie was when they are in the field training with each other after Raph wakes up, I could watch that scene over and over such a great part of that movie I could never forget
The other scene when they're out with April and Casey after April home was ambushed by foot clan the. Turtles gather around the fire camp when Splinter appears.
My absolute favorite scene in not just these movies, but all live-action Ninja Turtle movies is: Bossanova. I love the way that they’re revealed, being slowly built up throughout the intro until finally when Leo jumps around the corner. I wasn’t around when this came out in theaters, but I could only imagine the shock and excitement on every kid’s face when they saw the live-action turtles for the first time, this IS and ALWAYS will be my FAVORITE MOMENT.

All in all, those were awesome picks. I agree that the Splinter/Raph talk was the best, but I also loved Mikey’s “No Anchovy” rant. In part 2, it was the crunchy candy bar scene. In the 3rd movie, I generally just loved the fight choreography, and how they brought their weapons back. However, yeah, the new costumes.. 🤦♂️
I’d add in Casey and April’s kiss at the end with the turtles dancing and Raph looking over Splinter and 9.95 playing in the background.

ralph was so dark in the original and master splinter spoke so wise as a kid I didn’t notice all the adult content and it’s depths in the scenes like I do now as an adult and the relationship between Leo and Ralph has so many layers by far my favorite of all time... 2

More childish and comedic also lacking what made the first movie so successful in my eyes was the dark brooding gloom of dialogue which still touches me till this day... each tmnt movie just got worst and worst with each new reincarnation of the franchise just like the original hentai style

Turtles 2. We missed out on a big fight bigger then April O’Neal’s house fight. Mad room. Acrobatic arena. So much par core. If that was in the first movie omg. Sadly it was for tokkar and razzer to eat donuts and fling turtles smh.
What always bothered me was that the when shredder says " this you family" and then says "I am your father," made me think why would the makers of this movie have shredder saying that, sounding like him, and sort of looking like Darth Vader? Another is when the cartoon came out and the movies, why did they have the bandana cloth thing covering their eyes and not above the eyes like the foot did and traditional way Japanese ninja wore them? One more thing that bothered me just a tad is Michaelangelo's California accent in new York. They grew up there so all of them should have had that
"Brooklyn"accent but only one has it and its Ralph!
Anyways thats just a few things that bothered me but overall I loved this movie! I got this movie for xmas on VHS when it came out on VHS and I bet I watched it so many times I probably wore the tape out. I always had to mess with the tracking when playing it and no other movies I had to do that to.
Out of the three the first one is my favorite, and my favorite part of the movie is when they go to April's family farm, the whole part of it especially the touching scene where they are gathered around a campfire meditating and finally getting in touch with Splinter, seeing them crying was touching, my favorite scene in the entire movie and so surprised he didnt put it in the countdown. Anyone agree he should have? 🙃🙂🙃
I gotta admit these were among my favorite movies… ok obsessions as a kid in the early 90s… but to this day I still love Ninja Rap & “a little too Raf”. Keep the channel rollin strong my friend!!
The fight occurs on the roof and half the time, the camera is at street level and it's a bit short but nothing in the TMNT movies tops the fight with the Shredder at the end of the original! (IMO anyway). Also, if I was to make a top 10 of the greatest moments in the franchise, they'd probably all come from the first one! 2nd one had its moments but was disappointing, really didn't care for the 3rd.

I love how part one was but was mad how they made 2 and 3 more childish or what ever but I was a kid when I seen part one and lived how real they were just like when batman begins camd out had that gritty to it likd kinda dark. They need to bring Turtles back like that first movie. For on why make it pg when we're not kuds forever and the movie will be there when we grow up. So why make it watered down for kids. They ninjas fighting criminals. I still like part 2 and 3 but if they were dark likd the first it'll be 1000 better
Turtles 2. Even shredder in the first movie was like velvet color a nod to the comic and shredder in two was purple a nod to the cartoon. Naw if they kept part one flavor for all three movies omg, they would be the best turtles ever. I say it’s part 1, turtles forever, tmnt, as top three for me. I need the turtles fighting at least to enjoy the movie. Even the new ones now made by Nickelodeon is trash. Mad big n doozy. The foot shoot so no need to do ninja stuff, fights was whack. Leo sounded trash and was just to point forward for me. No real chance to understand the turtles. Everything rushed. No real good use of splinter. Like they wasn’t even teenagers. No lessons and real fights. Part 1 had u feel like u wanted to know the turtles on how they feel and who they are.
Super shredder big win lose for me. He offed himself. See what they went for was more cartoon and video game effect for me while part one toke the comic book approach. More pizza like the cartoons funny fights and a node to turtles in time with super shredder. Even tried to throw in Ralph getting kidnapped just to throw comic relief but in feel they ran out of money for the project or they wanted to please fans with less violence because Casey killing shredder in the garbage was over the edge ok. Ps. Shredder survived and he only had scratches lol
Casey Jones is the man in TMNT 1990 movie and TMNT 3 was amazing my favorite I enjoyed the Foot Soldiers from TMNT 1 and 2.
Leonardo is the best turtle and Casey Jones is the best non-turtle character.
Also, I hope these 3 movies get a 4K, Dolby Atmos release.
The fight in the turtle den scene was one of the most reenactment scene I use to play when I was a kid. Toys or without toys. 😁😁😁👍👍👍✌✌😀😀
The original movie was just ahead of it's time, and unapologetic. Movies nowadays just don't have that 'it' factor that film had. It just is so much more apparent when watching the later ones, especially if they're viewed immediately after the first one. Great video, man.

I watched the second movie more as a kid cuz I dreamed of being kino. But even as a kid when shredder drank the ooze I was like... how did his armor and cloths change? And the fact that the turtles can't use their weapons... weak.
20:11 those "things" Leo is using, I believe, are meant to be escrima sticks, weapons used in Arnis, the national sport and Martial Art of the Philippines.

My favourite moment. Tmnt 1: the apartment fight. It’s memorable a lot more violent than other scenes and pretty Creative. Tmnt 2. The lab fight. It’s just like the movie fun corny stupid but still enjoyable. Also tokka and Rahzar I just think they’re so cool. Tmnt 3: the scenes with Casey jones. I just think he’s badass.

TMNT 1990- one of my favorite scenes as a kid was when Raph follows April and she gets surrounded by the foot, and pulls out Raph’s sai, then he gets it back, lets out a war cry and beats up the foot. I always liked that scene! It would def be in my top 5. I’ve also never watched the 3rd installment of TMNT, I cant het over the costumes. But great content as always!

Mikey and Donny's moment when waiting for the pizza ("pizza dudes got thirty seconds ...." You get to see the actors in the suit as themselves)
The Shredder entering the room. Incredibly intense entrance ("You are here because the outside world rejects you. This is your family. I am your father")

Danny's talk with Danny ("All father loves their son's speech) as the Foot Clan holds him hostage
The meditation scene at the farm where The guys are now together in front of the fire. They see an image among the fire as their final lesson.
Splinters talk with Raphael as he's trying to reach him - father to son.
April talking about each of the turtles (while at the farm) as she sketched them
TMNT 2
The opening sequence. I always love their jump into frame as Keno Whisperers "Help?".
Super Shredder. The introduction of the Now mutated Shredder as he tries to take out the guys but the doc collapse on it.
The Shredders return. Seeing the Shredders hand pop up in the garbage dump all the way to seeing him appear as Tatsu challenges anyone to step forward
Tokkah and Rahzar Introduction to the turtles ar the dump. Lines like " You take the ugly one"
Finding the new turtles den. Classic lines through the time Mikey falls (accidentally discovering the new den)
The scene at TGRI & the fight scene with the last canister of ooze
The ending sequence where they come home and Splinter asks "Where you seen" and their response to it is awesome. Then you have Splinter say.. Practice harder. And remember...GO NOT NINJA GO NINJA GO!"
