if i'm not mistaken this really is inspired in billie's experience with sleep paralysis and also the main question that is "when we fall asleep where do we go?"
She has stated she was inspired by her sleep paralysis and the horror film “The Babadook”. The Babadook was a monster personifying mental illness, and the song is full of references to her fear of herself, hurting herself, and suicide.
Great reaction. First of all, this is all Billie's concept. She suffered from severe sleep paralysis, and there are numerous allusions to that in the mv. Second of all, she IS the monster under the bed pondering her plight and her future and asking "why go on?". And Billie's inspiration (self-admitted) is American Horror Story (no surprise, right). At 14-17, she was going through a period of terrible depression with strong inclination towards suicide, which was at the same time fueling her creativity, with the result being winning Grammys for the top 4 categories (5 overall for the album), along with being the number 1 album of that year in terms of sales. That is why her songs and mv's from that period in her life are so dark (playing a serial killer in Bellyache, crying streams of black tears in When the Party is Over, describing her suicide scene in Listen Before I Go/Goodbye).
Random 80's week pls 1) Lionel Richie - All Night Long 2) Laura Branigan - Self Control 3) Janet Jackson - What Have You Done For Me Lately 4) Men At Work - Down Under 5) The Cars - You Might Think
If you haven’t, y’all should do the music video from Billie Eilish for her song called *bellyache*. Also, *all the good girls go to hell* is a good one too. Sorry if you’ve already done these…I just got here lol.
Also the spookiest city in the USA, in my opinion, is New Orleans, Louisiana. But yeah, a New England city might be more accurate. Like…idk, maybe Gettysburg or some place equally historic that I can’t think of right now.
@Joe & Mike you gotta see and hear the cover of this song Maneskin performed in Paris for Global Citizen Live....it worth your time...they change a nightmare in a joyful&powerful blast...
OK Misters, my last try. Do NOT do the mainstream song reviews, nobody is intrested on them. If you want views on your channel, do bands like Nightwish, Steve'n Seagulls, Poets of the Fall or Swedish bands like Sabaton or some other shit
LMFAO no i promise u people are more interested in the “mainstream” artists rather than whatever ur listing. people who try and act superior for liking indie artists are obnoxious, you can like all musics and just cuz a artist is super popular, something most artists are striving for doesn’t diminish their talent .
@@panchorr1444 yeah I don't think they need some bozos to protect them from my drunken suggestions either so chill out- I like these guys and wish them all the best.

Who told you that nobody is interested? These guys decide which artists to put in their videos, not you.
