But seeing yours now, I’m going to take it away and just have a vase and stems. Thank you! And as I watched today, I felt like clutter or the just in case things cause a tightness / tension in our souls and when the spaces are clear, it’s like your soul gives a sigh of relief. Hey! The area in my house i would love to have simplified is the master bedroom. I dream of a calm, tidy bedroom! I also have a "black abyss". You'd think someone would invent a pull out shelf that toggles to turn so you can get to the stuff way in the back! You have to contort your body to reach the bowels of the abyss! And that 'aint easy' for a 70 year old!😂

Well done halving your dinner service. I love crockery and had a 96 piece set including soup taurine, cheese dome and multiple serving dishes all to match but I didn’t use it as the family grew and moved away. Finally donated most of it and just kept the plates and bowls. It was beautiful but I hope someone is getting full use of it now. Great video ❤

It is difficult to break up a set, but I am learning there is no need to keep the set if it is never used! I have no doubt that someone is getting use out of your beautiful crockery! The dining room table looks SO nice with the dishes gone! I'd do the same with your breakfast counter. I never saw the appeal of having dishes out when they're not being used, and I wouldn't want to eat off of them bc I don't know who's touched them; they wouldn't feel clean to me, IMO. I would have kept the rest of the matched set of plates and dishes. Your "before" areas already looked so neat and tidy! Lol. Even nicer now.

Thank you, Cheryl! I probably could get rid of more glasses, I may have to go through them again. As far as the food storage containers, we do use a lot of those because I prep a lot of different vegetables throughout the week for salads and things, but I may have to look at those again too! Maybe it’s something I shouldn’t have bought in the first place or maybe it’s a gift that was given to me and it feels like I shouldn’t get rid of it. Hi DeDe! Did you make this video just for me? 😂. I’m the “Queen” of Just in Case. 😂. I grew up in a large family and we used everything we got or bought and my mom was wonderful at finding multiple uses for most items. That, coupled with me being a former teacher, explains my mentality of “what if I need that” or “ I can use this for something.” Your dish cabinet look amazing with just removing the excess. I love it. The dining room table looks awesome. And boy do I know about play doh!😂😂😂😂😂. As always, thanks for the inspiration to retire my crown! Stay warm, my friend!🥰

Hello there! Thank you for your suggestion! I don’t take it as an insult at all! We have not been happy with the color of the cabinet since we moved in a decade ago. I am not sure if we will go lighter or darker, but we do want to make some changes in the future! I have always loved the backsplash, but I haven’t liked the counters as much because they tend to look orange in the sunlight. Week 3, .. my goodness, she's such an Inspiration, y'all ! 😊 Update to follow !! ...Miss Dede. ... this was impressive. ...Holy De- Clutter, Batman ..! ( errr... or . Batgirl??!! lol ) Wow, it is just amazing how much you let go of ,and to be honest ..I only have a service for 8, ..and I have extra plates, that don't even match that Setvice Set..but I don't care about " everything being matchy- matchy " ...In fact, one year at Thanksgiving, I did a mix and match of Plates and it looked really good. Sooooo many of the things you Donate are just great quality, and to know you will be Blessing someone else, who needs those items means you get something positive out of the situation as well... ( but I know that you know that! ) 😊 Before I had children and I lived alone, I kept a set up similar to the one in your Kitchen ( with the Placemats / dishes etc.. ) on my circular dining set ,because it looked so nice and I always had a vase with flowers on that table.. .. but, fast firward 4 or 5 years..... I only kept two Crystal Candlesticks and a Vase of Flowers on the table after I had children.. it just made sense to do that , .. so I think just a Centerpiece on your Dining Table is perfect. ( I like Candlesticks and Candles on my table,..I'm weird like that, lol ! ) Such a great Video, ... you already inspired me to go through some of my clothing...and a few Kitchen areas.. ..I still have things in the Kitchen that I'm working on! 💪🏻 😉😁 I'm sure it feels as such an Accomplishment to have gotten more things donated, etc ....Can't wait to see what these next two weeks are ! Thank you for all you do fir your Community, with your Videos. And, on a side note: Your makeup looked fabulous... and I so like that sweater you have on.. it looks so comfy ! Hello there, dear friend! I am just now seeing this message! I don’t know if it got lost or dropped down in other messages but I am just now seeing it! Thank you so much for your continued encouragement! I really do feel like I got rid of so much this week! For some reason, dishes are hard for me to get rid of, especially when things are grouped in a set. I really have had to change my thinking and a lot of “unnecessary rules” I have established for myself. Not everything needs to be matchy matchy, not everything needs to have every piece in the set for it to be enjoyed. I really have been working hard on my home, but I have been working on myself as well! Not always easy to let go of things, but it really has been improving my outlook! Yes ma’am, I did cut my hair a couple of weeks ago! It was long, long overdue. The place that used to do my hair closed and I didn’t have a place so I just kept putting it off because I knew I would have to find a new place. I did find a new place and a new stylist and I really really liked her so I think she is my gal from now on! Thank you so much for watching friend and always paying attention to the smallest details in my video! 🥰

Hello there, dear friend! I am just now seeing this message! I don’t know if it got lost or dropped down in other messages but I am just now seeing it! Thank you so much for your continued encouragement! I really do feel like I got rid of so much this week! For some reason, dishes are hard for me to get rid of, especially when things are grouped in a set. I really have had to change my thinking and a lot of “unnecessary rules” I have established for myself. Not everything needs to be matchy matchy, not everything needs to have every piece in the set for it to be enjoyed. I really have been working hard on my home, but I have been working on myself as well! Not always easy to let go of things, but it really has been improving my outlook!
Yes ma’am, I did cut my hair a couple of weeks ago! It was long, long overdue. The place that used to do my hair closed and I didn’t have a place so I just kept putting it off because I knew I would have to find a new place. I did find a new place and a new stylist and I really really liked her so I think she is my gal from now on!

@@texasstardust6010 thank you once again friend and I just wanted to let you know that my husband likes that you referred to him as Mr. tidy up… I called him that in my last video because that’s what you referred to him as in a previous message. He likes that he has an official title now. Before he was calling himself, “the man of mystery.” since he never wants to be on camera.
