Thank you, Beverly! I had a student refer to me as "brutally optimistic" one day. It was not meant as a compliment! lol! As for all the seasons, well, we have to live through them, so why not do so stylishly? It's good for our self-efficacy and our mood!
Yes to so many of the points you made! Biggest take away for me is taking stock of what I already have and plan ahead for the next season from my closet/bins instead of looking for new items.
@@closetplayimage if anything, I will not be buying or sewing anything new until the season is well under way and I have had a chance to work with what I already have. Which is hard for me to do until the weather actually warms up.
The Guadalupe jacket just got my subscribe. Will be checking out your other content soon. I have done shopping fasts during Lent and a 3-month fast in fall as well. I feel the need to these a couple of times a year or so.
I did a clojing fast last year and I only bought three pair of Spring/Summer PJ's!! BUT I allowed myself to buy make-up and accessories which I did but I only bought two pair of shoes in totally diffierent catagories I didn't own!!!
Dear Liz, thank you for sharing your update! I love your Guadalupe Denim Jacket! After seeing it in your spring capsule video I started looking for it online because I thought you bought it somewhere 😂 I would love to do this to my own denim jacket but I could not find the link you were talking about 😅 thank you for all the videos you make, I learned so much- now I always try to think in 3s 😅❤ God bless and greetings from Germany 🤗
I'm sorry, Stephanie! I misspoke--I don't have a link for the jacket or the fabric, just the images. It was a fairly simple upcycle. I already had the fabric in my stash; each yard has 4 squares of Our Lady in different colorways. I cut out the one with the pink background and used an iron-on-backing to strengthen the fabric. I chose to leave the edges raw and used a zig-zag stitch on my machine all around the edges to attach the image. Hope that helps?!
@@closetplayimage Thank you , this was very helpful 😃 I am not sure I can find the fabric here but I might buy a T-Shirt with the Image of Our Lady and use the fabric 🥰🥰🥰
I'm sorry. I didn't make a video. (I can't imagine recording myself sewing. There would be a lot of words to be beeped out! I appreciate your finding the 'good' out of the unexpected experiences, and your genuine take on looking fresh throughout all seasons of life.

It's hard to resist the tempation of the shiny and new! Can't wait to hear how you do for next season!

I’ve not done a shopping fast, but your tips work well even if you’re just trying to rein it in a bit!
Love love love your style…❤
Thank you! Most of us could probably rein in our wardrobe spending and not find ourselves without!

We all need to take a step back sometimes to reevaluate! Thank you for subscribing!

@@stephaniewiederhold9088 That sounds like a great idea, Stephanie!
Hey, where is your video showing upscaling your jean jacket? I’d love to see how…
