I love the Mark VI! The triangular arc reactor makes it look a lot different than the other suits

Yeah.. the only red and gold armors that has a triangular arc reactor is the mark 6 and mark 50 from infinity war.
I miss this this look for Iron Man, it looks heavy and realistic.

Yeah i loved the old suit up scenes as well, but i suppose they wouldn't be as effective in a fight as opposed to the nanotech

Basically it is the same design as the mark 4 but the only difference is that it has a new chest, colour in different places and some new accesories

This is supposed to be a heavy defensive and offensive suit for tony and they did this well very well
I think that Hot Toys should supply every single Iron Man 1/6 scale figure with a battle damaged option set. We are paying a lot of money for these figures so there should be no excuse for them not to do this.

Something I really appreciate in your reviews is how well you know the details of specific scenes the figures are dipicting. Very cool man
I wish they made the arc reactor itself triangular. The way it is, it just looks like a triangular window with a circular arc reactor on the inside, but in the movies the triangle on the front was completely lit up. I know it would've been inaccurate, but it just would've looked so much better.

I want the New diecast MK III very badly. I think I am going to sell one of my expensive sideshow collectibles 1/4 scale lord of the rings sculptures in order to be able to do this. I would be so incredibly happy with an updated MK III. 😎

We already have the original mark 6, so no diecast for us , but great looking figure, my honest opinion is that the grand jewel of the diecast series is the iron patriot, over 60% diecast maybe even a little more, great review!!
Just to highlight this, The nicks and scratches you see on the paint all over the armor is on purpose, its from battle / normal wear and tear, it shows up in the review, so look close. The reason I mention this is because when I received mine, opened it and saw that I kinda freaked out and called Sideshow - they addressed my issue right away and asked me to look closely at the pictures they posted on their site. I didn't think there would be many reviews on UA-cam since I had just received mine (don't know how others got theirs months ago). Great review ... glad there are a few on the Mark VI, from now on I'll check UA-cam first .. LOL.

Defender Prime it's only about 50% die cast. The rest is plastic.
I wish they had made the arc reactor light function more accurate--even the diecast version still doesn't light up the whole triangle area like it does in the film.
Hi (Paul is it?). Forgive me if I have your name incorrect. When I spoke with Howard Chan directly in person at Sideshow's booth @ San Diego Comic-Con in 2013 (I believe that was the year he and some of his crew attended), he had some good information for me. He had told me the reason for the "pink panty" issue with the original Mark IV and VI is because they were using a silver undercoat on the soft PVC material of the pants and then applying a clear type red on top. The reflection/refraction of light on the silver undercoat was then causing the red top coat to fade over time. At this time most people displaying their figures were using either halogen or florescent lighting so naturally, those are pure enemies to color.
So, the issue of the red fading is not due to the PVC material.
They had resolved this problem when they released the (original plastic) Mark V "suitcase" as they were not spraying an extra silver undercoat anymore and started to use a more durable red mixed with metallics. That's why none of the original Mark V's have this problem.
I hope this helps and answers a lot of collectors' questions.

I never bought any of the hot toys Iron Man figures back then as I thought the plastic made them all look like pretty cheap figures to me, almost like a toy. Now that they are including diecast to all their Iron Man figures, I now have quite a few of them and have a couple more Iron Man figures coming in.
These Diecast hot toys Iron Man figures look very stunning, These are true works of art. I have the new hot toys diecast Iron Man MK VII which looks beautiful on my shelf. I cannot wait until my hot toys Diecast Mark 47 reissue Iron Man and my Diecast Hot Toys Iron Man MK 85 non-damage version are received. All three of these diecast Iron Man figures displayed next to each other are going to look bad ass.
If I have enough funds left over once I pay off some of these figures, I also hope to order the hot toys diecast Iron Man mark L if this is still available by then. I really like the Iron Man MK5 a lot, however this MK VI I like so much better because of the different shape of the arc reactor window.
... again all the newer versions of the Iron Man figures that hot toys are creating with diecast applied all look extremely phenomenal and bad ass. 😎
If you ever get the Mk V armor from Iron Man 2 I'll so be there to watch that review. That is my favorite armor from Iron Man 2.
This figure is beautiful. So much $$$ though. I've spent too much at BBTS over the past months 🤗 30th Anniversary Voltron last month, NECA ED-209 is arriving today, ROBOCOP w/spring holster next week. Now I have to decide if I'm going to buy this. #firstworldproblems

Are the extra hands beside the articulated one plastic? Them being rubber also fade and happened to most of my die cast ironmans.

Awesome review! As someone who has owned several iron man figures, is there one you would recommend as a somewhat definitive iron man figure? I'd like to add an iron man to my collection but there's so many out there and they all look pretty cool to me lol
wait, something came to my mind. Why does tony bother putting a clear piece over the arc reactor of all of his armor if he's going to use his unibeam.

Will you review the diecast mark 3 if you get it. Also you are able to get 3rd party battle damage chest, mask, shoulders, forearms and leg flaps. So you could still have a damaged look for your hall of armour. Hope that helps
