Deadpool has a history with Logan in this universe but it's yet to be explored.

They are probably hesitant to have a PR mess if Deadpool is in X-Men 97 and kids watch it and then parents stupidly take them to see Deadpool & Wolverine -- and then those parents will complain about Disney at every turn. And parents are dumb enough to do that (I remember parents suing MTV over Beavis & Butt-head because their kids watched it and then started a fire, even though Beavis & Butt-head only aired after 10 -- but it's a cartoon!) Disney isn't a major producer of R-rated films.
With everything that has happened in season 1, seeing where Deadpool is at in this universe during X-Men '97 season 2 would be intriguing, especially after what happened with Genosha. As X-Men '97 season 2 has already been in production for quite some time, there is likely already an answer as to whether or not Wade is in the next season. But for now, the world will have to wait and see when/if Deadpool makes his way into X-Men '97.
Ummm.....I don't see the problem. Especially knowing a Deadpool movie is coming. I would say Deadpool was off limits too. At least season 1

I think the main reasons is to avoid confusion before the releasing on the movie which I am pretty sure has some connections with the animated series.
my reason is wtf care, he was a very unknown blink and you miss it cameo in the original, I can agree with marvel because of this reason. It's like this: yes everyone wants to see deadpool in everything but do you really want to rush DP in something just quite fans that'll ruin the impact of DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE.
This is getting outlandish. This is what happens when you deviate from Snyder's great-grand vision

Deadpool can be in season 2.
Deadpool appeared in the original X-Men cartoon in a non-speaking 2 second cameo. But that *WASNT* Deadpool. I think we're going to learn that Deadpool is some kind of NEXUS being in which he has some multiversal importance. I think THAT is why we havent seen him in What If, why he wasn't in 97, and why he thinks he is "Marvel Jesus". The movie will explain it.
It may be because Deadpool is not for kids is what I've heard a movie critic say or he's not likable so I don't blame them for getting rid of silly nonsense 😂
wolverine is essential to xmen deadpool is not. It is not that big of a leap in logic why they would not ban wolverine to be used in xmen.
Hopefully Ryan Reynolds voices Deadpool in What If? Season 4.
