Is grace, the one time gift of christ dying on the cross, and then once we sin after baptism there is no longer grace for the offender?

I think grace is always there as long as we're alive. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8). If God gave us grace through Jesus, we will always have grace.
But the everlasting grace is not an excuse for us to commit sin. Yes, we could repent when we sin, but let's not use grace for our own advantage. Grace is given for salvation.
      Remember Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived. God is not mocked.

Jesus taught us to offer unending forgiveness to those who repent in Matthew 18:21-35. He illustrated this in the parable of the forgiving king we read there. Everything about God’s salvation shows us that forgiveness is ongoing, because our failings are ongoing.
Romans 3:23 teaches us that we are falling short (present active indicative in the Greek) meaning that we are presently continuing to fall short, not simply that we have done so in the past. This is why God continually counts our faith as righteousness (see Romans 4) rather than expecting our behavior to be perfectly righteous.
John wrote that if we walk in the light the blood of Jesus will continually cleanse us from sin (1st John 1:6-7) but furthermore says that if we say we have no sin, we are lying. If we confess our sin, God is faithful to forgive and has provided Jesus as our Advocate for constant forgiveness (1st John 2:1-2).
In fact, all forgiveness throughout history has been through God’s ongoing grace. This is why Romans 1:17 tells us that the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel. The gospel is Jesus’ death burial and resurrection. His death was the sacrifice, or payment for our sin. Had God not paid for the sin he forgave, he would not have been righteous in forgiving it as the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). God paid those wages for us in Jesus' death thereby declaring himself righteous in forgiving us, and that forgiveness continues just as he taught us to continually forgive.
      I hope this helps,
