lol what the hell did I just listen to?!? Seriously, Kelly is a damn national treasure. I know everyone says she should do a country album, but nah...GIVE ME A BLUES RECORD! She's just...man. Just unbelievable. And let me be clear: Brynn KILLED this. Like, she was excellent. And Kelly is so gracious and TRIES to defer, but her voice just won't allow it. She's not playing fair, and there's absolutely nothing she can do about it. Once-in-a-lifetime, generational voice and talent.

Actually foy Vance original version is on his “From muscle shoals” 2019 album on Apple Music. He first started performing the song in 2011 in Memphis/Nashville etc. So yes your right about him not officially recording it recording as in putting it out. He allowed Ed to do it (2015) because he loved it so much and did a great job , foy taught him soul and is one of Ed’s favorite people . I think Foy did a great job allowing ed to do so knowing what the music industry was trying to do to him.

👎 🎤 🫨 In my honest 70 yr old opinion, THIS duet isn’t the 👍 ‘great’ one that SO MANY people have commented it is - by far! Neither of them has ANY amount of the ‘soul’ or feeling that Foy Vance has. Even some other female singers, esp. H.E.R. covers it SO much better (to my surprise), and her performance is the closest emotionally to the original imo. * I’m not mentioning any of the ‘male’ versions to his, only the women who have done it - and I’ve watched/listened to MANY of both.
