I am a newf and my husband and I had just moved to bermuda. I called him that day and told him to turn on the tv. I will never forget it. America was attacked. My Mom cooked for five days!
I think it’s one of those no one will ever forget, no matter where in the world they were. I’m just thankful that this story is now being told, showing the good side of humanity.
@@ianday3620 Hi Ian. YOu may enjoy this clip as well. Shows the journey of the WTC trade tower steel being driven to Gander from NYC - even the 8 hr ferry it takes to get to Newfoundland from Nova Scotia ua-cam.com/video/YCaIBn3JF1s/v-deo.html
Wow I was too little to remember the day it happened by I have family in Bermuda who experienced it very closely. My auntie is in the banking and finances business and was one of the first people in Bermuda to know it was happening as she was on the phone to people in the tower at the time.
I was lucky enough to catch the dress rehearsal showing of this in the west end and can't express how much everyone needs to see it! Absolutely incredible from start to finish.
I spent many a happy trip to Gander on C130s from 1975 to 1980. The show is so true to life, for the hospitality and friendship shown by all the Newfies I met. I was very lucky to be an honorary Newfie having been screeched in at the Canadian Officers Mess and kissed the fish. An awesome show I saw it in the Phoenix on Monday night and will definitely going back.
I absolutely can't wait to see this in London. Me and my partner are literally going to London from Amsterdam and Basel to see this production. Said it already, but just can't wait.
LOL omg, it's so wonderfully unsurprisingly that these guys have a much better grasp on the Newfoundland accent than the American or Canadian casts had. The Newfie accent is so much closer to Irish than to anything else.
I think it's because the Newfoundland Accent is a Lovely Mishmash of a lot of British/English Isles Accents, so it's not too much of a stretch for An English person... Either that or the British Cast are just that Good. XD
I'm kinda sad it turns out the Nick here is just an understudy. XD it would've been interesting to see a young Nick, especially opposite an older Diane...
Me and the Sky is an incredible song and Rachel ripped my heart out. This show is wonderful.
I guess I am kind of randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to stream newly released movies online ?
@Yousef Fernando I dunno try Flixportal. You can find it if you google=) -davian
@Davian Abel Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it !
@Yousef Fernando Glad I could help xD
