13 days in the new year and life has been….well lifeing. With that being said, your videos, regardless of topic, brings me so much peace and joy. Thank you for being you.
I’m sorry that your new year hasn’t been off to a perfect start. Remember that things always get better and we are all here to support you. Thank you so much for tuning in and watching 💕. Knowing I contribute even a little to your day really means a lot to me.
Lots of good suggestions. My tip is to have the bedroom chilly so you can dive into those fluffy comforters & quilts & snuggle into them w/out getting overheated. Along those lines---a towel warmer to warm your nightgown/pj's is maximum luxury for me! Fun to hear your ideas & think of ways to include them in my decor.
Hi Kiva!!!! I love all your videos! I started adding the throw blanket at the end of the bed and I switch it out seasonally (everything else is neutral), it makes it always seem “new” when I change it. I also like throw pillows on the floor- it gives the space a feeling of comfort and warmth
I love what you said about dark colors I'm in the process of doing my bedroom a dark gray, with pops of teal and khaki I'm so excited I can't wait til it's all done thank you for the tips.
KB I very much like all of your ideas for the bedroom. I have to agree with you that the bedroom needs to have a special scent. When I purchase fragrances for my bedroom I tend to stick with scents that say, cotton, linen, beach, clean, non-stimulating scents. I also use the essential oils from The Columbia Fragrance Co. Surely you can go to sleep with “Once Upon A Dream”.
Such great tips KB! I am currently working on designing our new bedroom. We have half done, and now need to work on the other half. Got a rug for the half that's done. Artwork is missing....so much to do. I appreciate all of your tips. They will help me move forward on this project.
Loving your earring game lately, the odd shapes and lovely colors are so pretty, I love your sense of style and adventure you show in your choices. I am starting to try it for myself. I also have 😊noticed your recent shift toward warmer decor style. I like that you don't seem to be showing off your expensive stuff so much these days. We don't all have your kind of money.
❤K to the B - you said " living adjacent "!? 😂 1) I will now be using this phrase. 2) Does my cat count as "living adjacent"? 3) And last, I believe I ALSO qualify as "living adjacent ".
Hi Keva, Thank you for your videos. I have been following you for many years. I love your tips and suggestions but my absolute favorite thing is the large abstract paintings of the boy and girl in the living room. I want to buy it but cannot find it. I would commission it if I had good clear pictures.
I’m good with everything except the plants. I don’t prefer to have space taken up by them.. and I hate plastic cuz I’m not dusting. I can see ppl wanting them especially if the room is large. Great ideas.
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing. I have artwork over each nightstand but feel something simple is needed over the bed. Having a heck of a time finding something. For those of you here, please feel free to offer suggestions.
Dark colors as you said, but also cool colours. Studies carried out in the early 20th century shows that our pulse goes down faster in a blue room, than in an orange room. This even goes for animals, where racehorses showed to calm down in under half the time when put in stables where the walls were painted blue, than when put in an orange stable. It's worth noting, that even though bluish green or greenish blue are considered cooler colours than pure blue, blue still had the strongest effect. All this is kind of funny, when you take into consideration, that blue light had the opposite effect, so a very warm lighting is probably still the best lighting in a bedroom.
Been working on my bdrm, but never seem to be 100% satisfied with my bedding choices. White sheets and curtains are my base, and light taupe/linen/oatmeal (with some blue and gold accents pulled from the rug) rounds out my color palette. But still searching for the perfect quilt (I'm not a duvet person), throw/coverlet, and throw pillows. I'm getting closer to knowing what I really want. Texture is priority #1.
Hi Kiva I can’t tell you how much you have helped me in my apartment. You’ve given me so many great ideas options because I am on a low income can you make me feel like at least I have choices and your dupes are fantastic but I have a dilemma I had bought a new three seat sofa recliner and I do have two cats and I love them dearly and I need to cover the couch and the arms I like something nice like Sherpa but something that is gonna look neat. Do you have any ideas on Amazon?
This is great. I’m reworking my bedroom right now. Any recommendations for a queen bed that sits on a metal frame but doesn’t have a headboard? The headboard is necessary for sure.
So true! I'm glad you said it. The cozy look is beautiful, but for my home, it was almost emotionally muting. Our home is super social and bubbly, so between the two, the "cold" decor works so that we can keep up the home day-to-day and spot messes easier. 🤪 My dad's place is very cozy and feels welcoming while mine is very vibrant (and crowded). It can feel chaotic to some, no matter how neat, organizing and clean. 6&9 year Olds don't quite mesh with my previous "boho downtown loft" or the "mermaid Cali artist" decor I've styled in the past. 🤷🏾♀️😂❤
Sometimes our comforter smells like dog. I turn that down a little, and have the top sheet and blanket hear my head. We have carpet. And I don’t want a rug on top of the carpet. I have a new bed, new mattress and two new nightstands. So my bedroom will be all new if it ever makes it in there, and gets put together. First we had family, now my husband is sick. So I’m waiting, hopefully not much longer. To get my bedroom together. I’m going to get the Landry detergent to wash all my bedding in. I need some new sheets. I have all the rest.
About those heaps of pillows... does anyone ever really use those? As decoration I find them annoying, having to remove them when going to bed, and there's often no good place to leave them either other than the floor. Non functional deco is fine but it shouldn't be a hindrance... though it works nicely in a guest bedroom that does not see much use but still wants to look nice.
KB, artificial scents, candles, etc are just not healthy in any home. All sorts of hormonal and respiratory problems begin by using those and inhaling them. If you can, look into this. It would be nice to promote healthier upgrades for your followers. We listen to you and love your content.

It already feels like this year has been 2 months long for me 😂 help
Sweet!

Kiva, you are looking so beautiful girl! Your earrings are gorgeous! 😍
I love our photos of the grandkids on the wall above the bed. It says cozy because it feels heartwarming.
I’m glad to see design videos as it seems the channel has been leaning more towards product reviews. Thanks for a design video.
Thanks for the inspo!
Thanks for watching!! 💕
Hey Sis I love your glasses
Thank you!!
I want to add more plushness…the rug on top of wall-to-wall carpeting…gotta try that one!
My last apartment was wall to wall carpet but I still got rugs for the dining table and couch. Been looking for the right one for my bed, now.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉 to being the first person to ever speak living adjacent . And I’m living for it 😊

Thank you for this video. I have been trying to figure out how to finish my bedroom off
Yay! I hope you found it helpful and good luck with your space!! 💕
Kiva, nice video, but those earrings are to die for. Please, where did you get them? I have to have a pair.
Great tips. I would like to see tips on a small guest bedroom with a daybed. How do you make that look cozy?
❤K to the B - you said " living adjacent "!? 😂 1) I will now be using this phrase. 2) Does my cat count as "living adjacent"? 3) And last, I believe I ALSO qualify as "living adjacent ".
I think living adjacent is like maybe...a zombie 🤔

Imperfection and a small amount of mess/lived in is a really important thing to get it cosy
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing.

Kiva, I’d love paint color recommendations for the mocha/ chocolate look. Colors that won’t look literally like 💩!
Living adjacent 😂❤

One person’s COLD is another’s light, happy & clean. One person’s COZY is another’s claustrophobic & dreary.
So true! I'm glad you said it.

The art in my bedroom is a sheep print and a family gallery wall
Hi Kiva, I love your videos! Please me your thoughts on Quince bedding? Thanks 😊
I’ve never tried Quince before! Have you?
@@KivaBrent No haven't, I was looking for natural fibers without the pottery barns price and they pop on my feeds. Thanks for responding.
Yes, the bedroom is for rest & relaxation, but let's not overlook romance. The 3 Rs!
Hard to concentrate with looking at those great earrings!
😊😊😊

In near future moving Senior Citizens building. How go about decorating without painting walls.
Maybe wallpaper renter friendly.
Is there any affordable rugs like under 200$? 8x10 that’s not completely trash lol
HEY

Great video - but please keep in mind that essential oils are actually dangerous for babies.
Can I hire you?, even with your suggestions, I'm not capable of creating anything close to what you are saying, It's not part of my genetics😁

Agreed. I can not stand scents in the home anyway. Even heavily scented cleaning products I will not use.
designedbyai AI fixes this. Affordable Bedroom Upgrades for Luxury
Kiva, nice video, but those earrings are to die for. Please, where did you get them? I have to have a pair.
