Use my link to buy Hogwarts Legacy and so you can have a chance to win a trip to Universal Studio's Wizarding World of Harry Potter: G2A.com/n/movieflame
Speaking of Hogwarts Legacy, will you do a lets play or a video on how many easter eggs, accuracy with book/movie material it is and also the mystery around how and why the quill and book could allow a wizard/witch late into school (P.S I didnt finish the game and if it explains why in the game, pls dont spoil it).
Man, I wish the films kept some of Fred and George's fight scenes. Like when they almost attacked Malfoy for calling Hermione a mudblood, or any of the times they actually did. Also, the entire Weasley is our king sequence would have been great in the movies, though I get that there wasn't time.
Well, as we see from the numerous Weasleys, being good at Quidditch runs in the majority of their genetics! Charlie Ron Ginny Fred George Rose It literally flows in their blood.
100% Ron had anxiety. Like he just had anxiety because we saw what happened when he thought he had luck, and how he started performing after people started cheering for him. Prior to that, people literally bullied him and shouted mean things in the halls. Anyone would be rightfully anxious at it’ll affect performance. He definitely had talent he just really needed people to stop being assholes lmao
I always thought it would have been cool if Harry became a pro Quidditch player after Hogwarts but Auror makes sense of course. I still have the headcanon that he played for a few seasons at least.
I never really like that he became an Auror. It just seemed like something he wanted to do to "stop the bad guys" which is such a childlike view of the world which makes sense per his POV growing up in a war era. But post War Auror work would be VERY different once it's all said and done. Would he still enjoy such a job? Once he realized it wasn't all about playing hero? He should've been the DADA teacher or like you say gone pro which he very well could've.
Yeah I feel like with the amount the wizard government fucked Harry over in the books the auror job, working for the government just didn’t seem likely. He fell in love with hogwarts I feel like DADA teacher was his destiny Ginny taking over for madam hooch or playing pro like she does
I always saw Quidditch as a stress reliever for Harry like whenever he would be stressed out by the ministry work he could always turn to Quidditch and flying for relaxation
8:22 According to what MovieFlame said, Snape was referee not to make Gryffindor lose but did it in case Quirrel tried to jinx Harry again. However, although Snape is on the good side when it comes to battling dark forces, he is still mean to students who aren’t Slytherin.
Yeah, he's an absolute ass towards students, he's been a pretty bitter dude since his younger days. But he definetely was the best for that particular job at the time, except for Dumbledore. Well, for the job of fighting off any dark magic. As a referee... nah, he did a terrible job on that. And I don't quite see why they made him referee instead of just having him float around on his broom in case there's action to be taken
@ozgamerab8780 still doesn't give a grown as man to bully students does it yes he was bullied he also instigated it in the later years of his school years and he bullied students that wasn't in his house
This is just like my go to place now for Harry Potter content. It's incredible that you break things down to the smallest detail-that kind of attention to detail is a great skill. I've always kinda wondered about pre movie/book and post movie/book Quidditch. And I like to think one of Harry's kids enjoys the sport as well. Probably Lily actually, if she's anything like her mum.
Morgan, thank you for all the hard work and research you put into your videos! It shows how much you enjoy what you do. I always love watching your videos, and they always manage to spark excitement in me for my favorite fandoms. Thank you!
You could say that the 1996-1997 Quidditch Cup victory was the last straw that drove Harry and Ginny together. It was the excitement of the party that made Harry kiss her.
He and Cedric showed great sportsmanship. Cedric offering a rematch due to the circumstances is a great thing to do, and Wood certainly appreciated the gesture, but still rejected the offer, because he saw Cedric was far ahead.
3:38 Minerva's brother was named Malcolm Mcgonagall, but i'd guess maybe it's supposed to be one of her nephews or nieces, as her 2 brothers had children.
my fav part was when (not sure which book) the slytherins had done a foul to Gryffindor, and when lee jordan was all upset and yelled in the microphone, and normally Mcgonagal right next to the announcer would tell him to stop, but she yelled as well to the Slytherins. I think it might have been when Malfoy grabbed harry's broom.
I think that's in the 3rd book. Really surprised when read that McGonagall didn't stop Lee-Jordan but also pointed Slytherin. That's so how bad situation at the match.
I thought it was cool that Harry was made captain of the team. The whole try out scene is one of my favorite parts of the Half-Blood prince. Harry is patient and assertive. I think his time leading the DA and his 4 years of Quiddich training, (4th year doesn't count), combined to help him feel comfortable in the role. That is also one of the rare moments in the movies where Ginny shows how awesome she can be by getting everybody to pipe down so Harry can start tryouts. I wish it had had more of an Oliver Wood ending where he got to play in his last game and lead the team to victory but alas. I didn't realize before that his last game was him getting knocked out by his own beater. J.K. Rowling never really went into any detail as to how Harry trained his team to be that good. That would have also been a really cool subplot where Harry had to develop different training regimes and morally uplifting captaining. I like the idea that despite him not being there, the team he had put together and trained still won. Also, swing back to the 3rd book, I love imagining the part where he throws a patronus charm down without losing a step in catching the Snitch. Just imagining being in the stands and seeing 4 dementors coming onto the pitch then Harry, in mid flight, sends a freaking silver stag charging down at them. Only Lupin could comment because everyone else was like whaaaa!!!!! Also, Cedric was such a good sport, wanting a rematch then congratulating Harry on getting such a good broom replacement. Props to Wood in that moment, too, telling Cedric that they had won fair and square and assuring Harry that he didn't blame him in the least.
To your point at 21:16, Professor McGonagall made Harry Potter's case. After lauding his retrieval of Neville's remembrall, she states to an ecstatic Oliver Wood, (on page 151 of the Sorcerer's Stone) "[Harry] didn't even scratch himself. Charlie Weasley couldn't have done it."
One of the changes in the films that’s better than the books is the Quidditch match in The Chamber of Secrets. And I get they weren’t important, but I would like to see the matches against Ravenclaw and Slytherin in The Prisoner of Azkaban. Maybe if we get an anime version of the series that combines elements from the books and films would help. Either way, Quidditch is a cool sport, especially at Hogwarts. Edit: Okay, so there’s going to be a series (not anime, sadly). The real question is, will it live up to the expectations of the films with some elements from the books and films combined?
plot hole: how did dracos daddy not buy the entire team firebolts like he did them nimbus 2001s? were there are so many firebolts made in production making it a rare broom?
I LOVED THIS VIDEO! Thanks Morgan! I absolutely hate how the films cut out quidditch, asides from the first films. Mainly because it was a huge part of the books that made the world feel more alive. But to be fair, if they focused too much on quidditch in the films, it would take away from the main story since films are written in a completely different way from books. But I would've still loved to see quidditch on the big screen!
OMG I JUST REALIZED I SAW YOU. Like no joke. I was walking through the Harry Potter Wizarding World in Orlando, and I had just gotten off the Hogwarts Express. I saw you near one of the butterbeer stands I think.
Hey Morgan i live in the uk and i love watching your harry potter content because i became a potter fan last year, keep it up and i love your hard work and dedication
Kirk and Sloper did not graduate but were not good enough to qualify again, we see at least Sloper in Half Blood Prince bringing Harry an invitation from Dumbledore and asking him when the tryouts were, and we know Harry thought for himself Sloper had to be very lucky to qualify again…
As for the next generation, here is how I would imagine their quidditch positions: *- Keepers:* Hugo Granger-Weasley (Gryffindor) *- Chasers:* James Potter II, Roxanne Weasley, Rose Granger-Weasley (all Gryffindors), and Scorpius Malfoy (Slytherin) *- Beater:* Fred Weasley II (Gryffindor) *- Seekers:* Teddy Lupin (Hufflepuff) and Lily Potter II (Gryffindor)
What happened to the Easter Egg series you were doing? It's been months sinc the third video came out and I was wondering if you were planning to continue it.
Great job! Hope we get a series of online animated episodes, showing the Quidditch matches cut from the films, similar to the Sonic Team Racing online shorts.
I haven’t read the books in years. Didn’t Fred or George throw a bat at one of the Slytherin players in The Prisoner of Azkaban? I always thought that would have been a hilarious addition to the movie.
My favorite joke in the whole series is made by Harry after he gets chewed out by Angelina for missing tryouts and Harry says something along the lines of “did the spirit of Oliver Wood posses her?!”
I wish they did more with the Quidditch Teams In the movies come to think of it if they gotten with the idea of making every movie a 2 parter. Then we probably would have gotten a lot more But that is neither here nor there.
It bugged me that Prisoner of Azkaban cut the Quidditch Final. Draco was Harry's bitch on the pitch. On a side note if Harry just kept his damn composure, especially the year he made captain.
18:31 how could Jack sloper have graduated? He was the one who passed dumbledore’s note to Harry in the sixth book. Other than that, this was an amazing video as always morgan! Your dramatic retelling of the quidditch games were fantastic! 🎉
I know harry stop playing after hogwarts but I think if he ever chose to he could have made it a lot further as a seeker maybe even onto a professional team, I know that's not what he planned for his future but I think being seeker could have been a great career for him
Just discovered you and have enjoyed your videos a lot! Thanks for sharing all your insights and the results of your research! Harry’s playing Career as a quidditch player was an odd one. Despite his talent, you can say his career was filled with disappointments. 1991-92: injured outside the confines of quidditch, and as a result was robbed of playing time in his final match(possibly costing Gryffindor the Cup) 1992-93: beat his rival then season was cancelled 1993-94: I’d say his best year, he helps Gryffindor win the quidditch cup despite losing first match. 1994-95: season cancelled 1995-96: starts of the season by making clutch catch to win quidditch opener against rival. Was banned from quidditch by morally corrupt teacher and team won Quidditch Cup without him. 1996-97: probably his most disappointing season yet. starts off well, beating a rival, however a shitty teammate messes up team in 2nd match of the season (which ended up Being Harry’s last game) as he was banned from the final match, sure enough the team went on to win the quidditch cup without him again. 1997-98: obviously did not play. Overall Harry contributed to 3 quidditch cup wins as a player, but only got to be on the pitch celebrating once. He has 2 of his chances ripped out of his hands by the season being cancelled. Lost a chance to win the quidditch cup due to off pitch Injury. And was barred from playing twice by staff who had it out for him. And lost his 7th and final year do to a war. Only played in 9 matches (impressive 7-2 record though)[strangely had a losing record against Hufflepuff]
This makes you realise how bullshit the quidditch season is. Any other sport a lot of these matches would've be rescheduled or suspend due to outside interference...
I always remember how when Harry became Quidditch captain, the tryouts took a long time. Amongst the problems were: First years trying out despite not having flown on a broomstick before One group had a pileup halfway across the field Several temper tantrums and complaints Several girls (Romilda Vane included) fell over laughing when Harry blew the whistle A crashed Comet Two-Sixty Several broken teeth One group showed up without broomsticks Some students from Hufflepluff and Ravenclaw tried to compete for the Gryffindor team Several lousy Keepers who could only block the Quaffle one or two times

@santhitalluri09 Yes, but Harry doesn't have Weasley blood. Harry's skill comes from his father - he just married *in* to the Weasleys.

@Shantichaparalathat just sounds strange when you say it like that lol
100% Ron had anxiety. Like he just had anxiety because we saw what happened when he thought he had luck, and how he started performing after people started cheering for him. This isn’t a video I would ever think about would happen but now that we have it I love it
you should do a video about cedric diggory alternate timeline but you make it up as in the cursed child it wasn’t good
can you do more of those quidditch videos please
It seems to have gone an amazing team in history
love your vids ❤❤❤
Do you think you could please make a video about Pandora Lovegood. I’m struggling to find good information about her and I really like your videos ☺️
Just asking are you gonna do a timeline for the other quidditch teams?

This makes you realise how bullshit the quidditch season is. Any other sport a lot of these matches would've be rescheduled or suspend due to outside interference...
I always remember how when Harry became Quidditch captain, the tryouts took a long time. Amongst the problems were:
First years trying out despite not having flown on a broomstick before
One group had a pileup halfway across the field
Several temper tantrums and complaints
Several girls (Romilda Vane included) fell over laughing when Harry blew the whistle
A crashed Comet Two-Sixty
Several broken teeth
One group showed up without broomsticks
Some students from Hufflepluff and Ravenclaw tried to compete for the Gryffindor team
Several lousy Keepers who could only block the Quaffle one or two times
Another great video!!! Thanks MovieFlame

Your videos are so good! I love that ya timed this to drop right after the Super Bowl. It gives me a good sports game after the last game
Hey! I love your videos and the Harry Potter books and movies. If you want to watch and maybe make a video over a really cool sitcom, I recomend with all my heart the show: ,,The Good place". Thank you for posting content like this! Keep up the good work!
