Back then we were all young, and we still live in Coolidge Az where much of it was filmed. It was great to be on the side lines watching the filming and..... they woke up the whole town with the exploding Tractor Trailer Rig. Great bunch of Actors. Irv.
Thanks for the upload. I’m 38 and I remember watching Near Dark on HBO as a kid. And seeing the VHS cover in the video store. Katheryn definitely inspired my filmmaker journey with Point Break, Hurt Locker etc. And today my knowledge expanded with this interview. I do camera and lighting on union films now.
She's very attractive, but what makes her more attractive beyond her looks is that she actually has talent and knows her craft which is why it's a little surprising that they would divorce since it seems they have quite a bit in common
@@petersmithyy4556Cameron made some good movies back in the day, but Cameron's kind of a dork, he also has a pretty sordid history of narcissistic, abusive, and aggressive behavior that he seems to be in perpetual denial of. She however seems really genuine and down to Earth.
Hi, I was the double for Bill Paxton on the movie Near Dark. I worked on all Arizona scene locations, but I’m at a lot on where in California the Motel scene was filmed. It was the scene where they were watching TV - Homer and Sarah. Is there a way to find this location. Spoke with Lance, he doesn’t remember. Thank you
Brutal job by the interviewer / crew - totally distracting the way they kept interrupting/ talking over her with their technical worries/ issues. She was incredibly patient to stay focused and roll with this clown show of an interview.
That was pretty typical back when interviews were shot on film. This is probably the unedited footage for a documentary of some sort. There's an hour-long BBC interview with Orson Welles where they run out of film at some point and they keep it in, because the audio was still going and Welles makes a joke about it and it's really funny, but conducting interviews on film was a real ball-ache.
@@Derek_Smallshorts Yeah, I don't see any interlacing scanlines here. Also, people were kinda numb back then. Everyone just knew less, had smaller vocabularies and a vastly slower pace of life. It's pretty modern considering the cutting edge she was on at the time.
God damn she’s so fucking gorgeous! 😍😫 As talented as she is a filmmaker I have to admit Kathryn Bigelow is extremely physically attractive. But what the hell did she see in James Cameron and he’s such an idiot for letting her go.
@@doritos6893honestly I don’t think Swayze ever looked better. He was the absolute perfect casting choice as a heist pulling smooth surfing shaman. The long hair and his acting style is perfect even if the movie isn’t one of my favorites.

She's the best female action director ever I think.
@@jainee4507 Yeah, after The Hurt Locker. I think your statement sealed the deal 🫡
One of my all-time favourite directors.

One of my favorite vampire movies. Thanks so much for uploading this!
Dang, now I know why Cameron fell for her, she's a stunner.
so beautiful😍😍😍what is her secret to hair and skin that flawless?
She is pretty, but I wouldn't use the five-times-married Cameron as the model for deciding whom to pick for a spouse. 😆

Near Dark is one of my favorite vampire movies of all time with the BEST Bill Paxton character ever
The last sound you hear before you die will be your guts snapping like a bullwhip. Best line ever!
@@matthewsalomone3800 Ikr?! Lance Henriksen's greatest role, too🤘
Check out 30 days of night 2007
@@alexpowers5117 Eh...the graphic novel is so much better
@@shadowvesselJesse is for sure one of my favorite vampires, but I also love Lance's performance as Ed Harley in Pumpkinhead.

And could the interviewer be any more BORING and disinterested? He sounds half asleep. Sheesh
Just a horrible job interviewing, lighting and directing a talented artist. Kathryn does a great job of keeping her composure.

They Should have Let Katherine Direct this Interview
My thoughts exactly. 😂
Damn, she looks just like Laura Brannigan.

Who is this joker?
Such an 80s look, stunning and brilliant
Back when women had eyebrows. I like it
smart woman. I think it´s cool when a director says she loves genre films.
Que mujer tan hermosa y talentosa
I must have seen Near Dark 50 times
She is so damn inspiring. Her films are game changers imo.
Hot like Laura Brannigan
🗣Gloria!😏😉
They didn't know they're having the interview of their lives!
Great movie , jenny wright was stunning with her beauty, Kathryn herself was fine af.
댕 ! dang 다이렉터 !! one of the most realistic and magical tough guy , i’ve ever seen 🤙🏻💯
Amazing film making! Especially for a relatively mainstream and descently funded American film
aw, yeah! I was thinking about covering it on my channel soon, this is great. Do you have anything of her on Blue Steel?
hi..hug me
Long before twilight and much better
One of the few women to not fuck up vampires.
What movie does he ask her if she's seen at 8:48? Can't hear him
The Hitcher
10:37 Fathers and Sons!
Kathryn Bigelow ended up devouring James Cameron, cut!
How wrong she was about people being hired for strengths in the future…
Classic interview. Just a horrible job interviewing, lighting and directing a talented artist. Kathryn does a great job of keeping her composure.
Is Joel Coen conducting this interview?
I'm convinced it's him.
I can see why James Cameron cheated on his ex wife Gake Ann Heard with Katheryn. She was a cutie pie.
