- We left the Canary Islands, Tenerife for the Atlantic Ocean Crossing it is a little over 2,600 NM going straight, but due to prevailing trade winds majority of sailors and we sail south towards Cape Verde. We were not sure if we would stop there or continue, and we were ready for either.
But the winds dictated to stop otherwise we would face 3-4 days with no wind at all... So here we go country Number 50: Cape Verde!

That turnaround jumper is giving me flashbacks! I miss those long rimac nights
It is really good for us and I suspect for you too, that you publish of your adventures prior to the trauma of dismasting. Hope all going smoothly with the rectifications work and that you achieve a positive outcome with the insurer.😀👍⛵️
That sucks that you lost the drone. I am a Part 107 license holder and you are correct that the handle you attached likely blocked the downward facing sensor. Lesson learned but still so frustrating with all you have going on. It is great to see other sailing UA-cam channels sharing your story and putting support behind you. Such a wonderful community! I do wish you both the best and hope good fortune finds you both. Be safe and stay strong despite the many challenges...!
Thank you for continuing to post your travels in what must be very trying times. I really hope you find the silver lining in this very dark cloud and that your future is nothing but gold.
Thabk you, I hope so too!
I don't know what you're talking about...
We have to look at Eric's entertainment on Friday nights. We or ACTUALLY YOU need to keep us posted on your refit.. You're actually my best channel. Please be safe. I hope to see you next week. May God bless you on your journey.❤
Give us some time please! It’s a huge project and it’s not gonna happen overnight…
Greetings to both of you, excellent video, the monkey gave the note, I hope everything is and goes well, give me a surprise with the masts, I want to see them installed. Look, don't be overwhelmed by the past, I learned that everything in life has a meaning and a reason.
In God, we trust...blessings and forward.
See you soon cowboy
🇺🇸🇨🇺
Thanks for kind words and encouragement. It’s true, but still long way to go trying to sort this out…
ALWAYS Great to see what's going on!!!!!
Thanks again!
This part of the trip looked very enjoyable. You guys played games and read books to pass to time. The roll of the ocean was mesmerizing. You showed excitement and awe in visiting your 50th country. You met up with some great people. You even got to pet a monkey. Hopefully, when all is said and done, these memories can eventually outweigh those of the terrible accident.
Well said, there are times when I have to think hard to remember how much we liked this lifestyle and all the amazing videos we did. Making these videos helps… ☺️
The background music was very nice. Tell Ken to take it easy with the salt on his French fries 😂
Lol, he doesn't listen...
It's great that you have footage of your crossing prior to the crossing still saved up in your library I guess you'd call it. Very enjoyable to watch and great camera work. Looking forward to next week.
Thank you Jonathan :)

Hoping you are making through the tough times thanks for the excellent video

@@SailingAquarius been here since day 1 n u 2 bring me so much joy that now I sailing myself
Why did the mast snap, you should have some Insite. Was the mast suffering from electrolysis brake down, rigging tension, combo? or 180mph gust.
None of those as we know, but the video will be coming soon. It’s a huge project and it’s not gonna happen overnight…
I know it is a sensitive subject but do you care to give viewers an update on insurance, survey, replacing the rig, etc... Are you still in Martinique?
We will absolutely do that, just everything still in progress and at this point even us don’t know how this will resolve
@@SailingAquariusI wish you the best for next.
N❤
Great video guys looks like a great stop off.
