The toy’s design itself, the box, the colourful instruction manual gives such early 2000’s vibes. Grew up with the original to the 2nd generation furbies and not to forget the Shelby spin offs as well ❤
I’m so glad you got the new 2023 Furby which is the Coral color one! I definitely highly agree with you that it’s basically just okay for what it does, and it’s definitely disappointing by how cheaply made it looks like with no moving mouth or even expressive eyes ether they would’ve been LCD eyes or non-LCD eyes like what the 90s Furbies have. If Hasbro cared enough, they would’ve had the brain to make the awaited return of the new Furby exactly like how the Furby Connect was with the functionality and also the improved colorized LCD eyes when you compare it with the Connect but of course, they just had to do it the cheap way as this is literally what we got of Furby this year. Honestly when you compare both the new 2023 Furby and the Furby Connect together, the Furby Connect is definitely way more superior and wins the round like if this was a competition of who’s better than the other. Makes me appreciate the Furbies more from the previous years way back from 2016 to the 90s than the new Furby this year of 2023. I still love it for the cute design it has and some of the new features it has like voice commands and a few other stuff like how it shares the same voice as the 2012s with the Normal personality and the Furby Connects, but yeah, the new Furby is just okay like you said. Still happy that the Furby is back at least, even if it’s not like what we all expected with all honest opinions
I agree with you on all of that! The connect definitely way more superior than the new one. The connect is more expressive, the body moves more. The 2023 Furby feels hollow to me, like there's nothing in the body that moves. Only the ears, eyes, and feet move. They also got rid of the tail for some reason I don't understand. I really hope that the next Furby they come out with will be better than this, and even better than the connect as well, although, I doubt it unfortunately.

It’s a lot more like a modernized 2005 Furby since they did bring that command feature back from that particular Furby in the past, but definitely like Alexa too. If there was a Furby that could connect to Alexa, that would be so cool and betcha it could sell better where it could convince Hasbro to keep bringing more better Furby models. Bluetooth can be another thing as well like how the Furby Connects have that availability but it’s not all the way great for that Furby as they probably could’ve brought that back for the new Furby as well
Yeah, the secret commands are “ I love you “ furby will respond affectionately. “Funfact “ furby will tell you a random funfact. “ Selfie “ furby will go into a random pose for 1 - 2 seconds.

Im still disappointed and probably won’t buy till later on or if it goes on a sale price, I just think 70$ is overpriced for what your getting. Considering the furby connects weren’t that much more I don’t get why they didn’t do more with this furby.
yeah seeing as hasbro didnt even fully finish the furby connect ig its kinda expected for them to just drop the ball like this. all large companies seem to care about is money at this point. imo, the wait wasnt exactly worth it. and it kinda aint worth the price
They gotta bring back the moving beak. So lifeless without it. Plus they gotta work on it so the future furbies talk together without having to press the buttons constantly . Falls asleep too fast. Big plus is the singing but sad it doesn't dance to music.
I found a video of the test mode of this furby, it seems that it is by pressing the button of the gem while putting the battery, it enters test mode. yes, it seems that this furby was designed from 0, it has nothing to do with the old furbys (except the 2005, 199*).
for me its a baby furby beacuse its smaller abd pich is highter eyes us more "cute" but its still kinda like furby connect but still thus furby previus connect is better beacuse its eyes are screen abd its acting like really cute creature from idk galaxy and yea i cant just say how its for me better beause my eanglifsh skills are sucks

Well, voice commands aren’t a new thing for Furby. They had that feature in the 2005 one.
