I've always thought this piece is basically the same as the aeolian harp etude, but almost nobody makes this comparison so I think I may be mistaken on the technical similarity between the two... one thing I did notice is that the accompaniment of the etude is 'missing notes' in a lot of performances, while for this impromptu most performances take great care to play every note. wonder why...
amazing thank you i started acoustical composing just 4 years ago now i'm at 3 voice invention from bach and chopin nocture op 15 no 3 i can reach technically Pictures of an exhibition Bilder einer Ausstellung in my language and gershwins rhapsody in blue i play everything in structure except when some stuff comes to me like this impromptus, bilder einer austellung or rhapasody in blue, on a hearth way maybe i can reach getting as good as you even if i'm started just at 16yo
Dr. Wong, My question is if a pupil is already accepted to Juliard, shouldn’t he or she already learned these skills already? Namely voicing, balance of weight and evenness of fast rapid inner voice note. It is a matter of hours of practice to further polish the piece to perfection..

Very good comparison! The texture is of course very similar! But the Schubert piece has two voices on the right hand, right?
请Dr. Wang出一个impromptu No. 2的讲解吧!谢谢!
有了!
@@ShijunWangPianoChannel 谢谢Dr. Wang. It helps me!!
Thank you Dr. Wang. Been waiting for this video for a long while. Excellent tutorial. Any suggestion regarding to left paddle usage for this piece?
I am not a big fun of using the left pedal while producing singing sound.
amazing thank you

Even Juilliard professors would need to work on these skills!
