Volunteering | Cork Oak Tree Plantation 2023

At Herdade da Baliza, more than 125 volunteers from Corticeira Amorim joined in a collective effort to plant 2,500 cork oaks, not only contributing to the reforestation of Portugal but also enriching their knowledge about the cork oak, the tree that is the source of our valuable raw material: cork.
This initiative, in partnership with Quercus under the Green Cork program, reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation.
Since 2011, our volunteer projects have planted more than 27,000 native trees, reinforcing our active role in the protection of cork oak forests and promoting a low-carbon economy.
