Yeah bro those are torsion rods that hold the block wall plumb, probably tied over to similar blocks on the adjacent side or to a girder inside. Not a big deal in ideal conditions but an earthquake, high winds or a truck hitting it and she'll crumble.

Actually content was amazing but production and skilful ideas to convey clips were as amazing.
Honestly I don't know who shot the video, if was a professional but if it wasn't then the production value was as good as any televised shoot.
This is literally the most entertaining video I have watched in a very long time. Dope that you also took the time to craft the video and make it fun to watch instead of just focusing on the painting. You’re clearly talented all around when it comes to being an artist. Murals have come a long way during my life time. Glad to see people really embracing this style of art. That mural completely transforms that whole park and building.

It was telling of yourself, that you made the video not just about yourself and your work - they are awsome enough on their own, but also showing the kids at the park - for whom the whole mural is for, and the community who was kind enough to care about them and making their world as awsome, fun and exciting as it should be. Well done on the mural, on the part of the city of Enid, and your video making skills.

@@Kiptoe it was great, it was a fun, bold and authentic behind the scenes detail that went along perfectly with how that also comes through in your spray work, and it was merged into the rest of your video just as artistically.
I've been following Kiptoe for a while and I've seen A LOT of videos, I've painted like 4 murals so far and he's been like the biggest inspiration I have. This video is by far my favorite one. Keep up the good work, Kiptoe. And thank you for inspiring and showing how wonderful and powerful it is to paint walls and work hard

Every video of kiptoe is like a movie. Awesome acting, presentation and video shooting/editing. Its hard to imagine you painting and shooting the video all at the same time and still not lose your concentration. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't know you or Enid ok, but I must say I'm impressed. The artwork you've done just is just creative and has style. I'm willing to be that city got exactly what they'd consider respectable art, that can be appreciated other than some trashy wanna be tagging mumble jumbo. I'm shocked you only had 12 days to be honest the amount of pressure to have painted that much space is impeccable. You've incorporated the idea of fun without harm or danger and brightened an area for all to come and enjoy the events of skating biking and scootering. Very nicely done I'll follow you just to see what else you may have in store.

I mean to each their own, I wish people would stop messing around with my skate park, Burnside. It used to be a great place to go and now it looks like its more for artists than skaters. Looks so bad, like whoever paid them didn't realize the people who skated there didn't want lame interpretations of flowers, we just wanted concrete. The art draws people who aren't skaters and then the whole bowl is full of artists trying to find a place for them to pain while people are skating
I feel like people have lost the true meaning of art and is now just a commercial job for the masses which defeats the point of the art in the first place. hopefully yours is more appreciated. Our skate park was made by individual people who came and poured the concrete themselves, no one had any authority to do so. But once it became a world known skate park it should have been just that. take your art to a canvas and sell it to some one whose buying and leave my park alone. And that's coming from an artist in Oregon.
Pictures on half pipes are the worst, ruins depth perception and makes people mess up and hurt themselves....but the flower is pretty when its covered with blood
I love the artwork as always and, also kudos to the town of Enid for investing in their young people and making them feel valued.

It brought tears to my eyes seeing how you treat the children. Children may be spoiled these days, but they lack real kindness and fond memories amd you gave that to all of those kids. Very nice to see ❤
My dad used to drink cans of beer in the back yard after working hard all day… I remember walking into the backyard seeing some cans in the grass as he threw another one and said, ‘Another dead soldier Ash..’. I chuckle to myself and it’s such a fond memory for me 😅❤❤😊 you throwing the paint cans reminds me of that. Another dead soldier..

Man this video is grater then I thought. The part where the 1st kid is just visiting is where I had to to gather my thoughts and just comment already. It's very nice as a UA-cam you gave a autograph but you gave wayyyyyy more then that. You did a physical act or kindness to all them kids and now they forever remember you. That's deep stuff man. 🥺💘

Ive noticed especially here in New Zealand. Mural work is like one of the few street arts tagging bombers dont put their mark on. I hope its stays like there there 🤙🏻
I grew up in Los Angeles and they would definitely tag over any mural. However I also lived in Chicago for a few years and I noticed that in Chicago they weren't really tagging over any murals. At least not as noticeably as LA.

Wow! You're a truly great talent. I painted a mural at my school for my senior year back in 1991, but I had to use a projector to get the right proportions. You just have a natural sense of proportion that makes painting murals look easy. My hat's off to you and great job on the editing of this video, great attention to detail. Can't wait to see what else you crank out in the future!

I am amazed he was able to paint something that large in a week and a half. It would have taken me two weeks to spray paint the wall white.

If you never draw a mural before u have no idea how hard it is to get the proportion right but Kiptoe did is it so perfectly. Just imagine how hard he worked to reach this level truly deserve all the good thing that comes his way in the future.

Absolutely incredible, seeing you just surpass every project you do with something better is amazing.
Also loved the bit about being able to see the sunset for so far since the land was so flat. I literally never considered that you can't see it that well in mountainous regions, I'm from the Netherlands and it's basically the flattest country known to man.

3:40 - you know, that these are not "woods bolted to the wall", but anchors that are holding long steel rods in a tightened state, and probably are the core element of the building. Those are steel rods across the building, and literally holding the whole together, holding against the weight of the roofing. (sorry but english isn't my first language)

The stained glass BMX wheel maaan .. just a masterpiece. They should install projector beams to highlight every trick on the mural at night. But when the kids try to take a photo of their friend doing a trick in front of the mural with the lights - on the photo it will look like the lights are for them. This is how inspiring is your work Kiptoe. Keep changing the world to be more creative place.

I just gotta say, you could have just gone to Enid and done your job and got paid for it but you went above and beyond, not just showcasing your talent but the talents of all the people using that park and even took the time to include them. I already know some of those kids will be telling the story and showing off their hand painted merchandise for years and years. You, sir, are genuinely a good person and you helped restore a little faith to a cynic.
