I did loch lomond about 4 and a half years ago. Paddled out from Balmaha and wild camped for 2 nights on an island. Explored the loch but it was rather choppy and didn't get so much done in my Dagger RPM. I intend to go back soon with my sea boat and do it again, more thoroughly. Hey Dave, Oh that depends... A dry suit will protect you from the water, if you end up in it. It'll also offer good protection if you are doing shallow water wading - like of getting inland out of the water. It can also keep you dry during the rain. A cheaper alternative could be a good set of water proofs - but if you take a swim, you'll be wet and cold. What you do want to have is a B-aid. James
We were there earlier in the year. 3 weeks ago we did endrick water from drymen Bridge to Balmaha.
