In this second episode of Where is the Ending, we look at Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I debuted on TV in 2008 to strong viewership and ratings, telling the story of Sarah Connor and her son John facing new threats after the events of Terminator 2. The first season was a success, but by the end of the second season many factors contributed to the cancelation of the show, leaving us all to a cliffhanger. It's unfortunate this got cancelled. It really felt like a true continuation for T2 than what T3, Genesys, & Dark Fate tried to do.

I agree. It captured much more of the mood and the moral dilemmas of the human characters that we saw in the first two Terminator films. I love how the series took so many opportunities to explore what it means to be human when confronted not just with technology, but also with questions of love, faith, history, culture, psychology and philosophy as humanity faces a dystopian future of its own making. Of course, James Cameron touched on all these things in the first two films, but a series like this provides far more space to explore such themes further, which I'm grateful for.

i was just about to say this, but you beat me to it.
movies these days may take a shit load of money to make, but because they have a limited time slot to tell a story, they most often suck because they can't go into as much depth because it also needs to be an action movie.
this is why tv shows make sense, this show was done right, it's too bad that most series on fox always end up being canceled, i mean Seth McFarlin talked about how many times his family guy show was taken down because of the network and the fans always calling for it to come back on tv lol, but i think fox did this like 4 times in total or something.

@@JoeGrizz1ywithout a good number of episodes there is no real character development. You don't get the fun episodes. There needs to be large number of episodes. I miss those days. Now it's here have a full season of 5 episodes. Yeah there is no connection and very little reason to tune in.
@@andrewhemphill8999 no. We have seen time and time again, TV shows that run 22-23 episodes a season fall flat after a few seasons. Arrow, Flash, Sarah Conner Chronicles, Supergirl. 22 episodes is overkill for writers and they know that. 12-15 will have actual development and worth while story, while the rest will be filler and junk. That’s why majority of television runs at 8-12 episodes depending on the material. You can still fit in all the development and fun with that many hours. As much as I liked the Sarah Connor Chronicles, that second season was spinning its wheel a bit. I actually got bored and stopped watching. My subscription ran out and I went back to it about a year later to finish out the season.
This series had some amazing scenes, ballerina scene was so beautiful and haunting at the same time.

Such a shame Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ended before it's time. It was a great series. Summer Glau made Sarah Connor Chronicles. I met Summer Glau yesterday.

Great video, great show. It's a real shame we will never get to see this story end at the right time. Í hadn't seen this show since I was in like 8th grade, I was really upset when they cancelled it but after a while I forgot about it. I recently saw it on hulu and was happy to give it a rewatch, but I figured it wouldn't be as good as I remembered... Upon completing the show again I gotta say it's better than I remembered. The cast was fantastic together and cameron is right up there with Arnie and the T1000 from T2. And unfortunately I'm upset about it's premature cancelation all over again. Wish we had at least gotten a movie or short series to give fans some closure lol

The show was incredibly under-rated, Lena Heady is phenomenal and - of course - Fox cancelled it RIGHT before it went from really good to game-changingly amazing.
Indeed, but it was distracting that the show had an actor Sonya Walger(Michelle) that looked very similar to the original actor that played Sarah Connor/Linda Hamilton.
I watched this show a while after it ended and I remember by the end of the second season I was stoked to see what happens in season three. That’s when I found out it was cancelled.

Just started watching this series again on Hulu. I have the first season on DVD but not the second. All these years later I'm still beyond pissed that this was canceled
I rarely pick this show for a marathon re-watch even though I have both seasons on blu-ray and rate it very highly. As you might have guessed, the lack of a series conclusion is a pisser, and always leaves me feeling empty. It's too bad. Fans of this show deserved better.
Both my DVD and BD copies of this show get lent out many times even now. People always ask for Season 3 because they all want more.
OF COURSE THEY CANCEL IT AFTER MOVING IT 8 TIMES, DIFFERENT DAYS, DIFFERENT TIMES.

I was looking forward to season three 😪 some actors got their start on this Cromartie played by Garret Diilhunt plays John Dori in Fear of the walking dead he was great cow boy / terminator . I slso forgot Tara from The walking Dead has small role in this in season two she did a awsome job 🙂
I know Josh Friedman said at Comic Con when they showed the pilot that he had plans for 4 seasons. You can find the video on UA-cam. So basically the tv show was supposed to get two more seasons. The fourth movie was supposed to get two more movies. The fifth movie was supposed to get two more movies plus a tv show. And the sixth movie was supposed to get two more movies too. I know Summer Glau has mentioned what might've happen in season 3. So did Thomas Dekker. You can find those videos on UA-cam.

That is correct! However, season 1 was cut short due to the strike, so they would’ve probably needed 2.5 more seasons than we got, possibly. We do know that season 1 material was scrapped all together due to the strike and it would’ve probably be too hard to incorporate it later, particularly some school related story threads. Fox likes to kill shows because they’re stupid and incompetent. There was an anniversary interview with Josh Friedman and it is a sad read! Fox doesn’t want to give creators their freedom, messing things up, moving the air dates around and canceling their shows prematurely. This happened to both Terminator AND Futurama just to name another example.
@@Dead8Artist You're 1000% right about Fox Entertainment. In the early 2000s they tried to run it like the Yankees: If you don't come out on top, fire the manager.
Ofc, Fox went into fewer homes so they couldn't beat the Big 3 networks and like clockwork, they'd replace the person in charge every January or so with someone who had their own slate of shows they had been working on trying to bring to air.
They'd kill off their predecessor's shows, promote theirs, and get fired next year when that strategy didn't work.
In 2004, they screwed over Brian Fuller's Wonderfalls in the exact way you described. He had done Dead Like Me and went on to work on Heroes, which suffered from the 2007-8 strike like TSCC.
They would greenlight shows that broke the TV mold but they'd then shoot themselves in the foot constantly. Buffoons!
I finally got to see this series, and wow I was not disappointed. The possibilities.
Epic serie.
Now that Terminator 5 and 6 have failed and their sequel are cancellated it is the time to return on this show!
This years we had two different actors returning in their ancient role after much more years(look at Matrix 4 or Spiderman Far fron Home or even Tom Welling,who is return in the role of Superman after years).
Now bring also this serie back.

Garrett Dillahunt As Cromartie Really Made The Show Thrilling but sad we never go to see the potential of the character after his death when they used his body as a host for John Henry I expected maybe Cromartie was gonna return aha.
TSCC was absolutely fantastic. It's a shame they never completed the story lines.
I would be content with a streaming service continuing this series as an animated show.

The best part of this whole show (and I say this with all due respect) is the absence of Arnold. I know he's the OG Terminator, but trying to fit him into EVERY freaking Terminator project has always been a major setback in the franchise.
Unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed Terminator Genesis, sort of as a fun ride, not necessarily as a sequel or a cannon Terminator.
But hands down, the best Terminator IP outside of the first two movies is the Sarah Connor Chronicles. They just added it to Hulu, and I'm rewatching it and it's still great.
Genysis is a good popcorn movie, but it has too many problems for a Terminator movie. Though our favorite part of the movie was Arnie surviving for a change!

What would have been icing on the cake is if John also met the guy the t800 was originally modeled after. A cameo by Arnold.
As much as that would be great im not sure how much time he would’ve given the show and would cost too much plus he was Governor at the time they made sort of a fuss that he did the CGI model for salvation

Although there were no mentioned connections to TSCC in terminator salvation but i think it was based on the story of john trying to find his way back into the past he will meet cameron one day , reprogramme her and send her back to the past and will himself stay in the future as he has moved on he will never find peace in his timeline and maybe cameron sent in the past could end up changing john's future in an alternate timeline where they will lead the resistance together and a faction of terminators seeking peace will join them along with weaver.
In the second season the stories tackled some rather deep subject matter, questions of evil, the relationship of God to man, time travel paradoxes, whether A.I. could develop a moral sense. My favorite episode included a battle between two female terminators in an elevator.
They could of made it were Sarah lives and is the one leading the Resistance against Skynet but John is dead, but still doesn't explain how a legend like John Connor is not known.
Camerons chip could of been the rival to Skynet and the war is in a deadlock even with the humans help on her side.
I think Cameron was way bettere as a reprogrammed terminator in this, than Arnold was in T2. There was something beneath the surface that you couldn't put your finger on. You didn't know if you could trust her, or if she'd gone crazy or was in love with John or what. She played the part the way the original T101 from the first moviee should have been played if reprogrammed that way. Arnie just comes across as your slightly eccentric uncle in T2. He's lost all the menace he had in the first movie, and the comedy feels totally out of place. And he has WAY too much dialogue!
Although I still feel the T800 is really well done, Cameron is definitely unique and appealed to a wider audience too
She was the same character as in FireFly. Which I loved.
Im really mad that they leaved it with cliffhanger i knew it's gonna be just two series but as terminator fan damn... i wish they would take it back again and start working at it.

Cancellation
Following the announcement of the show's fate, fans have led numerous campaigns to revive the show ever since. Josh Friedman dismissed crowdfunding in March 2013 due to issues involving holder rights, according to IGN. A movie was also considered, as Thomas Dekker and producer James Middleton confirmed in interviews. Cinemablend chose Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as one of the "12 Shows Fox Should Be Embarrassed About Canceling" in October 2015.
I imagine if streaming was as big during the shows time one of the many companies now would have picked it up for more seasons. Damn shame
The sara Connor chronicles is a amazing tv.serises. every episode was amazing brilliant story. Ĺeana healy played the part of sara brilliantly. The could easily make another amazing terminator TV series..the future war..looking forward to seeing robocop vs terminator movie.
I would have loved to see a season 3. So many twists they could have done. Sarah could have survived. Old Sarah reunites with John. What a reunion. She turns out to be a terminator! It's all a pipe dream. Set in the future would be very expensive show. Post apocalypse isn't cheap and I doubt they could pull it off. I like to remember it as a cliff hanger instead of what could have been.
I always felt that if they continued it wouldn't be in the future for too long, that John would head back to the past

The show was on Fox, so no surprise there... Lucifer wouldn't have a closure (even as bad as it did) if it was not picked up by another network...
shame for such great show they didn't do season 3. I would take a movie or comic to have proper ending.

The Creator of the Sarah Connor Chronicles Josh Friedman wrote Terminator Dark Fate and reused a lot of the ideas from the series on the movie even ideas for the unmade 3rd season unfortunately his script had John Connor alive but the producers changed it,
Also the creator Josh Friedman also did the short lived series Emerald City and Snowpiecer The Series and his biggest upcoming credit is Avatar 2 he finally gets to work with James Cameron himself.
From 2003 to 2019 4 movies 4 attempts to continue from T2 and they all failed on so many levels in terms of casting, nostalgia, acting, plot, story and execution.
All the movies from 2009 through 2019 stole and ripped off ideas from the series in the movies they were poorly written and badly executed. In the series however they written fantastically and executed very well.
Here are some examples
T3- Judgement day is inevitable Skynet is a program created by the Army.
SCC- Judgement Day is postponed Skynet is a virus in cyberspace that needs a host to gain control Cyberdine systems destruction delayed this The Turk however is new prototype.
Dark Fate- John Connor dies out of nowhere.
SCC- John dies but it’s a dream but done more dramatic and efficient.
Genisys- Multiple timelines and confusing narrative as well as the creation of Skynet.
SCC- Everytime they change the past Terminators or Resistance fighters come from different outcomes of the future The Multiverse is better than established on the show
Salvation- The Future looked nothing like how it was on the first two films
SCC- The future looks just like how it did on the first two films.
All- The Advanced Protypes tried to copy and act like the T-1000 but failed on so many levels and were not scary anymore
SCC- The Terminators are now smarter and more advanced and act more human and are very hard to spot.
All- The fights and the action were way to over the top and fake looking it didn’t have the magic or charm of T1 and T2
SCC- The action was real and in your face and was very grounded like in the original films
All- The Acting of the T-800 Arnold got worse and worse he acted more human and casual on T1 and T2 but the other movies he was very stiff, annoying and coming off like a talking computer
SCC- Cameron is both more human and acting like a machine but it comes off very casual plus she was perfect in this role almost like she was a robot in real life
Well there you have it the show was so much better.
At this point, like the Hellboy movies, I'd settle for a novel or comic mini-series to give the story an ending
I'd be happy with a movie(s) to follow and wrap up the plot lines introduced in the series.

My favorite is Salvatore because that's where the film should go instead of recycling the same story. It was different and what I'm still waiting for. The War in the future

At least the Terminator franchise wasn't destroyed like Disney destroyed the Star Wars franchise.
This was a great show! It was also the last show I ever watched from Fox. Fox has started so many good sci-fi shows but then dropped them with now closure. As a result, I will only watch shows from fox after they have ended and I know that they didn't hang on a cliff hanger!
It was ahead of its time. It is so stupid that these fights over rights and leasing lead to us losing out on good sci-if.
Wish they continued and instead of wasting so much on Salvation the studios should’ve given this a chance or WB should’ve brought it over to their network
Can you imagine what Game of Thrones would have been like without Lena Headey as Cercei, though? That show premiered the year after this.

If anyone ever actualy invents a time machine, it's probably SCC fans, who want to terminate some fox execs, before the cancelation of this Show.
Josh Friedman really needs to tell us what he had in mind, now that there is no hope of it ever being resurrected.
At this point it's just cruel to the fans that loved and supported what he did. He sure as hell isn't punishing Fox or the mindless masses that dont like to follow series that actually have depth.
Sadly, even IF by some unbelievable miracle they did revive it, it just won't work. Summer is too old to pull off the role. At 27 she could pull off a teenager, which is flat out amazing, but not at 40. It would NEVER be able to be a continuation. It would have to start from a completely different place and go in a totally different direction
She wouldn't play Cameron if she came back, would have to be allison so it would be years in the future and maybe John heads back in the past?

When they lept back into the future, you saw Allison and she was young like Cameron.
Also they jumped to a time before Cameron got sent back as Allison was dead when Cameron was sent back.
So if it they micked off the seties again, it would have to be a totally different timeline and frame from where this series ended. Which is all I care about. I don't want a reboot, I want to know what was going to happen in season 3 and 4. And it just can't happen now.
@@intheplot2241 Summer Glau said in an interview that in a 3rd season she would probably play the role of Alison and Cameron so she really wanted to do this job, Thomas Dekker said in a live that one of the producers' ideas was for John to get Chip from Cameron and put it on her body again.
I still hold hope for a jimmy Cameron directed terminator 3 to Finnish off the john Connor timeline/story 🤞
The timing of this show was unfortunate. In part becaase Warner Bros. produced it in tandem with Terminator: Salvation, which came out the same year that this series ended. The result being that the show was cancelled rather than Warner Bros. competing against themselves for market share of the Terminator franchise. That said, it is a niche market. Perhaps If this show came out a few years later, the availability of streaming platforms capable of better targeting that market could have justified the production costs. Like with movies, sci fi shows of this quality are expensive to produce. Unlike with movies, TV shows need to develop and keep a following, which can be hard to do when attempting to attract a mass audience for a show that possessed a niche appeal.
I thought that the series finale was perfect way to end it. He goes to the future to start the life that was referenced in all the John Connor lore and we get to see him meet his father and see that his love for the terminator (Summer Glau) could be realized with the actual human female who they used as the terminator to kill John.
It’s a good observation though it leaves too many questions open such as who is leading the resistance and how is there a resistance would that be just logical without John? etc
@@intheplot2241 As well as the T-1001's true intentions (she refused John's alliance in the altered future Cameron created by bringing John & Sarah to 2007). I feel like they probably would've done the same with her as they did with Rowena in Supernatural (had the same vibe for multiple reasons) - start off bad, become a fan favorite, go through a redemption arc, end up a hero who saves the day.
@@intheplot2241 - One way to look at TSSC is as the origin story that prepares John Connor to become the leader of the resistance. The mentoring he has received from Sarah, Derek, and Cameron is what gives John the confidence to step into that role among resistance fighters he recognizes, but who have only just met him. While we all would've loved to see the series continue along this new path, with this turning point The Sarah Connors Chronicles has reached its conclusion. There is no reason a new series could not be recast with many of the same characters, and rebooted as the sequel to TSSC.
@@intheplot2241 The answers are already there. Sarah led. "I'll stop it." She taught Kyle, Derek, and probably Allison. Prepared them. Kyle is suggested to be the leader. "I think you're gonna be famous. My brother is back and you're wearing his coat."
@@FallenStarFeatures Agreed that it's an ending. But there's no reason to recast if they continue the series. Everyone is still young, still looks pretty much the same, and still want to do the series if it were to return.

After they tried to make another Terminator 2 in 2003 - Rise of whatever - what didn't really work, it should have been picked up this series instead of constantly making - now 3 other - movies nobody asked for. I like most about the series that explains how humans could survive the war and why Connor is special. Of course, in 1 and 2 we only got as an explanation that he's is "THE LEADER" and the soldiers running quicker than the machines, shooting endless amounts of ammunition they mysteriously have from somewhere. It wouldn't have worked, leaders are replaceable, machines do not care about heroism, and they are quicker than anybody. Instead in the series, they show a Connor who actively recruits AIs into his army and even looks for allies among them - a strategy which can work. Something almost nobody but Connor can do. As he is technically raised by/with terminators, maybe Connor is the only man alive during the war who can still trust them, that's why he has to be the leader. This concept elevates the franchise to a whole new level, it's a shame they didn't pick up from here.
If only Netflix would revive this show like they did with Arrested Development
That would be great they are currently making an anime series on Netflix but there hasn’t been much news. It would be hard to bring back the cast, Lena would be costly to bring on I’m sure after GoT. Though it would be one to watch for sure.
This can still be ended. Tie in the loop from a movie with Dark Fate. Where a T800 arnie meets Cameron. And John meets Sarah in a different body as Linda Hamilton, that will be really interesting. This can be explained as a broken timeline. Someone with a creative mind can do it. As Skynet actually lost to Legion being John Henry.
Think of it. If John Henry would come up with terminator. It wont copy the original. But improve from tech even from T1001 Weaver. Also note how she mentioned John Henry is created to rival Skynet. Makes sense Rev 9 are combo of T888 (which is lighter but stronger than T800) and T1001. It will be an excellent fan serve to mix the show to movies. I bet Arnie and Summer would be iconic. Would also love to see Dani Ramos and John Connor together. Anyway there is a 3rd party AI that could interfere (Genesys) that will make it really interesting.
The shitty thing is, if the show was made now on streaming it’d be 10 seasons, because it was on cable, they couldn’t afford it. It was a brilliant intellectually stimulating science fiction show, like BS Caprica. The unfortunate thing is that now we get bad shows when the the money is actually around to make good shows.
I'd really like to see someone pick this up and give us season 3 and beyond. One thing though, they'd probably have to hire a new crew of writers and when those writers saw the end of Season 2 they all shout "Dream Sequence!!! That last episode was a dream sequence, it doesn't count!"
Loved Summer Glau in FireFly. I found she even acted as the same character as Cameron sine both did not show a lot of emotion.
(Spoilers) I've watched this show through a few times. It's great. But... I think it did end in the right spot. The basic concept around Terminator is essentially a sci fi / horror slasher flick. You have the killer chasing as the protagonist trying to survive and eventually the standoff at the end where the protagonist triumphs. The TV show does do this in a few episodes, but it doesn't rely on this formula. Because it is a TV show it tells different stories every episode from the character's lives. It lets the characters take a break and be who they would be in real life situations and doesn't keep them constantly moving from one action set to another. The conflict in the show comes not only from Skynet and terminators, but from the other humans that are helping the Connors and especially from Cameron whose story arc basically steals the show. It's the Cameron Chronicles. In my mind the show is about Cameron and when she finally gives her chip and body up to help John Henry's A.I. make it to the future, the show is over. I liked the characters and did want to see them more, but story wise I think it was over. It gave us something that the movies couldn't and that's good enough for me.

@@intheplot2241 hi. Both seasons were good but as you said in video the ending was bit of a let down. Would have been good in season 3 to have more of the T1001 and skynet battles.
Same. I enjoyed them both but can’t help feel frustrated knowing there wasn’t a season three and the fact they most likely will never come back to it. I would happily take a one off long episode for them to wrap it up
Can Netflix pick the series?
Can the government force James Cameron to make another terminator movie?
Netflix picked up a Terminator Anime, maybe they can pick up the show for streaming but not for a season 3. Cameron has expressed interest in an AI movie from the Terminator universe.
Greed, and anytime a show is moved from Monday to Friday is the death Nail. Of course ratings will drop. That's why I wait for series to end before watching, never get caught up in the Hollywood hype

How Derek and Kyle survived Judgment Day, what they did to survive after and the horrors they saw in the nuclear winter could be a series itself.

Season 2 was NOT as good as season 1, not even close. For several reasons:
1. The first season was gripping. It kept you on the edge of your seat. Season 2 had the problem that the bad episodes were TERRIBLE. The good episodes were decent.
2. Season 2 brought in the whole "my daddy's brother" bs that drug on for the entire season. It brought in Jesse, and Riley, two terrible characters overall.
3. Season 2 spent an awful lot of time trying to make you like John Henry, it didn't work
4. They didn't even finish season 2.
5. The last episode they put out on season 2 was trash. It didn't even make sense
6. The cop showing up everywhere got old. His plot armor was too strong
7. killing Cameron was stupid, as she was a majority reason why most people were watching it.
8. Season 2 felt more like it was just side missions and busy work, and unnecessary drama
9. You know people are digging at the bottom of the barrel when they have to bring DCFS into a terminator show, or the school principal, or another semi-monotonously annoying situation like that.
10. The only actor or actress that even played a mildly decent job as a terminator in this series was the one that played the Cameron terminator.
It was as if they put all their time and effort into the first 9 episodes, then rode their paychecks until they dissolved. I had to binge watch this show over 3 days just to be sure I remembered correctly...

To me, the best thing about season 2 was the arc about there being an intelligence to rival skynet.
The introduction of alternate future realities existing at once kinda breaks the rules of terminator. Before it was a closed system where there could only be 1 timeline so when you introduce the multiverse concept, you’re overwriting your previous rules. I feel like you have to pick one or the other in your world building
the more i think about it, the more the whole plot is a classic "bootstrap theory". meaning john connor becomes the savior of humanity by being sent to a timeline where he never existed.
john created cameron out of his love for his real soulmate... allison…. Who he never met.
catherine weaver/T-1001 created herself (and later, the legend of john connor) by going back (and then forward) in time to create john henry... which i'm betting, in turn, creates her in the future.
as others have said, this show would have been better served on a streaming platform at 8-10 REALLY SOLID 1 hour long episodes. no fluff (like you inevitably get with classic 22 episode network seasons). the streaming platform was still in it's infancy back in 2008/2009 though. it's kinda the right show at the wrong time.
@@oaktowndimond668 sometimes I miss the fluff of classic tv though. For example, Star Trek made some of its best episodes from low budget filler.

TSCC was an awesome show and a masterpeice compared to the diarreha that was Dark Fate or Genisis .....salvation was ok as at least they tried something different like showing us what we all wanted to see ( a film set after judgment day )..christian bale was pretty good as john Connor (apart from his little set breakdown) ....i'd have rather had follow up films to salvation insted of the absolute s**t shows we did get in dark fate or genisis
Such a great show and instead of a Season 3, we got the steaming crap filled dumpster fire that was Dark Fate. :(

Highly unlikely and sadly so, Lena headley would be too expensive for a tv network im sure and cameron would be older they’d have to use an excuse of aging it’s hard now.
@@intheplot2241 Hm, didn't they jump into the future at the end of season 2? That right there could be used to explain the aging process and jump a few years into the future. They actually set that up nicely for something like that before the curtain came down. I also checked the other actors and they still look good too. So the only thing really holding it back is money and reception? Find a way folks. Find a way.

The reason for the ratings drop in season 2 was because Friedman turned the show into a slow burn with wait times that were too long for what amounted to not enough payoff. The problem with lingering questions is that you either keep the audience distracted or you answer them. Friedman did neither. The lack of action is what killed the ACTION show, at least in terms of ratings.
What SHOULD have happened in season 3-
1)finally pin down Cameron's model number. There were theories that she wasn't even in her original body, as her character was inspired from a comic storyline about a T-900 class that was NOT metal, but actually built to be so human that only a doctor could tell the difference on the operating table - too human to survive combat against T-800s so her chip got stuck into a T-8900 chassis.
2) along those lines, stick her chip back into a t-999 chassis, and now she has to relearn how to control emotions and she has to figure out how to protect John when she's almost as fragile as John.
3)not another love triangle. Instead John has to come to terms with the fact that Cameron murdered Alison, because she's a terminator and that's what they do.
4)Yes, they go back to 2009 and stop Derek from being killed. Derek and Sarah finally hook up.
Season 3 also sounds like it would’ve been severely more expensive. Another reason for Fox to cancel it.

It's not the film-makers job to set the bar lower to accommodate less competent, greedier future film-makers. Rather, it is the job of the new film-makers to do just as well, or to set the bar even higher. Going backwards is just silly. It's all about money and corporate influence, nothing else. It's sad what the wealthy world has always been doing from the dawn of society. Truly sad.
