I usually don't like this kind of k-drama which is about the King and stuff. HOWEVER, SCARLET HEART RYEO GOT ME. OMG. This drama is different and it is really amazing.
haha no koreans did like the drama, there was just too much hype about moonlight which was airing in the same time slot. Koreans mostly watched it through 재방 instead of when it was actually broadcasted which brought down ratings significantly
This drama is produced by NBC Universal together with YG Entertainment. That kinda explains why Lee Hi got to sing 2 osts, and Akmu 1. Then, Baekhyun & Seohyun star in this drama, that also kinda explains why. For JYP, well... Baek Ah Yeon has sung a number of osts, which I think not because of the company, but because people acknowledge her skills.
I just realized that Scarlet Heart OST are using top singers like Lee Hi, Epic High, Davichi, Baek A Yeon, Loco, Punch even the popular EXO, Taeyeon and IOI. The drama itself is using top idols and actors. The storyline is amazing and the props are no joke. This drama costs a lot I bet. I feel so sad to hear how this drama has low rating:/ Please spread more love to Scarlet Heart.

Moon lovers received bad reviews in Korea and I am so surprised. I watched a few dramas and honestly, I lost interest bc either the scenes didn't blend or because the actors were not credible in their acting. I am quite picky when it comes to dramas and movies, but this drama caught my attention and I do think the script and the actors are good. I can actually follow without any problems, everything is clear. The kings are really really really good at acting. IU is doing a great job she makes me cry and laugh haha. Anyways, I can understand that it may not be everyone's style but there is nothing to say about the actors (as I said, I am really picky and many times I found the acting of "famous" actors quite poor), and the script is very organized.
