Reactions this long aren't going to be for everyone, but I've been treating them like a podcast as I go through your BAND-MAID reactions. Yeah, I pretty much felt the same things. They make me happy, like in a very real, emotional way. I always say, "They're my anti-depressant of choice." Even now, three years later from when I discovered them, after listening to their catalog a zillion times, their music inspires me. I have a good idea of how they construct their songs, what Kanami is going for as she plans it out, and I still get surprised. They're not pathfinders or pioneers - hard rock is well worn territory - but they take the structures of the past and elevate them, improve them, and still find ways to surprise. They are state of the art, and even if this genre isn't top of the charts any more, BAND-MAID is proving it can still resonate.
I get that feeling with Band-Maid all the time. I have to take breaks from them, because their music starts to feel like regular music. So I go back and, for a couple of weeks, stop listening to them and instead I listen to the bands that were my favourite before I found Band-Maid to reset my expectations. Put another way, they've ruined all other music for me. They are a once-in-a-generation band.
The genre,,,,,,,,It's called Band Maid.........This a perfectly written and performed song by unbelievably talented musicians that are cute as hell !!!!!!!
Like quite a few have said: This is one of their best songs. Mainly because it sounds familiar, but at the same time not, since it pulls you in all kinds of direction. I remember a reactor (Ryan Mear i believe, who is a musician and a big fan) once said that the solo into the bridge is like being thrown of a cliff, then caught by an angel. QUite on point to be honest. Other songs? Non-fiction-days is a rocker that goes out hard like a freight train and smacks you in the face. Moratorium was probably the song that made me think: these girls are the real deal. Daydreaming is one of their softer songs, and in many ways highlights Saikis voice, but also the girls ability to hold back and do magic without taking away the magic. Kanamis solo brings the song to some climax. The cherry on the cake. Without holding back is the instrumental which often gets forgotten. Onset and From now on has been highlighted on UA-cam, while WHB only became a part of some LE DVD. Some of the stuff there is so delicate. From some interesting doublekick patterns, use of the egyptian scale... etc.
Don't worry about not reaching that high again. With Band-Maid there's always something better than you heard before. They never disappoint. You'll be amazed at what else is in their catalog. You've only started so don't despair that you've reached a peak with them. Keep exploring and listening!
13:42 _"You ever get that feeling where you just may have listened to the best song you've ever heard?"_ It took me almost 3 months to go through all of Band-Maid's library from late November 2021 to January and didn't hear Moratorium until January, so yes, quite a bit actually. 😜 This is what this band does to you. They never cease to amaze. Personally after over a decade of cynicism towards new music they made me fall in love with music again. It's hard to explain what they mean to me. I honestly kept expecting to find out it was all fake or that they were ripping off dozens of other bands: nope, they were just that amazing. For a cynic like me, they've legitimately changed my life for the better. I would categorize this as early 00's alt-metal/nu-metal/alt-rock that has a rock ballad as the bridge. Actually, the rhythm section leadup to the solo in Blooming to me is the same soundscape as Finger Eleven's Good Times intro/outro. You can really feel the thump of the drums and the bass. The difference being, Finger Eleven can't hold a candle to these Ladies instrumentally. The Maids like to jump across genres and mix and match them as you heard here. The only way to be disappointed with a Band-Maid song is expecting to know what it will be because you have a 1 in 1000 chance of being right. If your only expectation is that it will be one of the greatest songs you've ever heard, you'll never be disappointed. ☺
1000% agree upon every point, with just 1 thing to add. As you listen to a Band-Maid song for the first time there seems to be this sense of familiarity almost like you know what's coming next as the song unfolds although you've never heard it or anything like it before. It just feels perfect! Then you realize in retrospect that as the song unfolded it made the most musical sense as it progressed and happened the way it happened because it could not happen any other way, for it to sound perfect. Their music is unbelievably intentional and well thought through. Sounds a little nutty but I hope that made sense.
Bandmaid's best song is always the last song you heard. It is just a fact of life. lol. What's to be noted is that Bandmaid, five wonderful musicians has complete control of their music from writing to the production. We are watching musical miracle and let's enjoy this gift from above.
This might be my favourite reaction video to anything ever 😂. I've watched a lot of reaction stuff, but I don't think I've ever seen a total shutdown for around 10mins 😂. There sadly aren't many truly unique bands in the world these days, but Band-Maid are absolutely one of the prime examples. Chunky, driving, catchy and complex in a complete package. You mentioned it yourself, the songs could be easily be more straight forward, but they flat out refuse to do that. A bass run here, an interesting drum pattern there, a different guitar lick in the second verse, it all adds up. They are always doing more, that's what makes them special.
😂 You haven't even scratched the surface of Band-Maid because they have so many songs and I really don't think they have 1 bad song out of over 100 to choose from. In fact, I think my family is thinking of sending me to a BMA (Band-Maid Anonymous) meeting because I'm so obsessed with this band. Check out their alter ego band (that debuted on April fools day) called Band-Maiko and watch the official live video to the song called "Secret Maiko Lips". Believe me, you haven't peaked. You will only peak when you hear every song they have ever recorded! I look forward to your next Band-Maid reaction video.
They are well diverse and dynamically good.... You never them play acoustic they also have instrumental they have also metal song they have also pop punk rock the have ballad
Blooming is a legit top 5 Band Maid song for me, some days it’s number 1, but others it’ll be Manners or maybe Moratorium… I made a “top 10 band maid playlist” that currently has… 45 tracks in it. I’ll watch people react to lesser known songs that I haven’t heard in a while and remember what a freaking banger that other song was and the list grows again. I think there are a few songs I’m legit “meh” on (they not bad, calm down everyone) and they’re all from the first album where the girls had very little influence over what the label supplied them. Not that the early stuff is bad. FREEZER is top 5 for me and it’s on their second album.
You have no idea how much I'm waiting for your reactions to Band-Maid. Since I became a fan of them 4 months ago, since then I have watched almost all the adequate reactions on UA-cam, and here you appear with a wonderful video recording style. A whole hour to savor the content with Band-Maid, what could be better?) P.S. Don't worry, because, as they say, your top 5 tracks of Band-Maid, these are the 5 last tracks you listened to)
KAM sort circuits, presses play a second time after his Band Maid obligatory "did I mention Saiki is pretty" pause. I'm dead. Thank you for these so much.
Blooming is also one of my top favorites of B-M. I would say don't be afraid of getting tired of listening to it. I've heard it dozens if not a hundred times, and I can watch an hour of you listening over and over. I think Puzzle is still my all time favorite though -- the heartache of it appeals to me. But then their latest album (EP) called Unleash!!!!! is all so awesome that I've given up hope of ever being able to rank B-M songs in my mind beyond that.
15:15 'may' being the operative word. when it comes to these ladies' kind of music, there's no such thing as peaking or plateau-ing. you haven't even touched their very first composition, their relentless full album, their impeccable ep's, their two love letters, etc. this band's creativity is nothing short of incredible.
I was at the San Francisco show and it was amazing! If I remember correctly they played Blooming only in San Francisco so I feel lucky I got to hear it live.
Great reaction Kam, Blooming is one of their best but you’ve only scratched the surface on the question of their “genre”. Many Band-Maid fans will tell you that they are their own “genre” and that, they do whatever they want to do whenever want to do it (often in the same song) and they make it work magnificently. As quoted by some of the other “reactors” in awe of their talents , “it’s just Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things again.
They don't really have "phases", they have always mixed it up. One release might be pop-punk, followed by a metal/hard rock, followed by a ballad etc. It's one reason why we love them so much! I wish I had £ for every time I thought "this is my favourite song" when listening to these ladies! You are in for a ride with this band Kam!
Blooming is a top fan favorite. I think it and Daydreaming come out on top in a recent poll. For whatever reason it doesn't have a high view count. Also, it is not often performed live. I am sure others will mention that you have only scratched the surface. They have over 120 songs, and half of them always place in any top 20 list! Blooming is a testament to Kanami's composing. She gave out "homework" to each member, and then combined the "answers" into this masterpiece.
32:04 YES! You get it! Their bridges are an actual highlight of their music. That's not how most bands operate; usually the bridge is filler. With Band-Maid, it is often one of the best parts of the song. It's not always true of all their songs, but it's common in enough of their songs that have been among my favorites. They make the bridge something that sometimes is good enough to be a single for another band and instead they just throw it in there as part of a song to make that one song all the more special.
"Blooming" was my favourite for quite some time. I think "From Now On" is my current fave, but I still love "Blooming". Kanami told the other members to bring her their ideas, then she merged them together to become "Blooming". The segment "Far Away" has to be Miku's contribution, and the rap-like singing Saiki's. Akane gave us the galloping drums, and Kanami herself donated the tapping solos. Misa reportedly wrote her contribution while drunk and wasn't sure she could play it when sober. This song was created by the entire band.
The sad thing about your binge-watching "Blooming" for an hour is that I watched it with you -- and I have already binge-watched it many times before ... well not sad really.
I'll second that all around. There is absolutely no fan consensus favorite, but Puzzle is pretty consistently a lot of maidiacs second or third favorite.
Yeah Man, I've heard this song literally 100's upon 100's of times and, no mo, but ligit had goosebumps right as you mentioned it. And as far as the onion ninjas, yup that happens randomly when listening to their music. I can only speak for myself, but I believe it's because you can feel the Love and Joy they put into their music and it comes through like some musical spiritual awakening. It is so refreshing it literally moves you to glass up! It's just Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things to you! Nemophila has a song called Adebana which is a Japanese term for the Flower that doesn't bear fruit. The song is about not letting others decide your worth even though you bloom differently. It gets me in the feels as well. Also a song not too popular in the Band-Maid community that I like and think that you might enjoy as well is Start Over. It has some of Akane's most creative syncopations and fills. But save it for a time when you're ready to explore a different side of the Maid's. So funny "Not all 10's are equal" most fans have about 60-70 top 10 favorite Band-Maid songs, lol! So they completely understand that sentiment. Also I just listened Blooming like 12 times straight over the last hour. And I'm completely OK with it! 😊
Miku is really deep. Her lyrics can be spectacular and yet still poppy. She is so artistically close to kanami that she just sweats the meaning out of her music.
You may think you have peaked, but you are just getting to the base of the mountain. Blooming is one of my personal favorites, but everything they do is amazing. Wait till you get to some of their ballads. Whole new dimension. I would highly suggest checking out Manners/Blackhole. It's two songs, but they did a double video from one of their online shows. As far as the ballads go, Daydreaming is my top choice. To me, it's one of the most beautiful songs ever made. The best part about Band Maid, is that they are just as good live if not better. I got to see them last year and honestly, best show I have ever been too. Just the energy and the way that they interact with the crowd is just amazing.
Kanami has great finger control because she was originally a pianist!...and a very very good one at that!...She composes the songs on piano first off.....So any keyboard backing you hear..is Kanami!...A lady of many talents...and as cute as a button!🥰..By the way!...MISA and Akane can play some piano!...And I believe Saiki is learning piano and guitar....Both MISA and Akane can also play some brass!...MISA horn and some trumpet I think..and Akane..used to play trombone!.
Yes, MISA plays Alto Horn and Trumpet in addition to guitar, piano and bass. And Akane can also play piano, trombone and has been learning bass and guitar. Saiki has been learning piano and guitar. Miku is the only one who can only play one instrument, mostly because she is also busy as the band's PR lead in addition to writing the lyrics. And Kanami can now evidently play bass and drums in addition to piano and guitar.
Yes! I've dreamed of being able to share this song with someone and listen to this song with them over and over again, just enjoying its greatness ✨ your reaction was exactly what I hoped, I couldn't have asked for more. 💜 I knew you would love this song, but I also knew how few live videos there are for it and that's why I suggested Real Existence, but I'm glad you had no issue just watching the MV over and over 🥰 this is one of my absolute favorites from Band-Maid and it was my number 1 when that album came out. I was also afraid it wouldn't get better than that. "It's too good, how will they surpass this?" I remember thinking 😆 but you know what? With them, the awesomeness just doesn't stop. Even if you don't find a song that you like better than Blooming, I'm positive you'll at least find other songs that you'll like just as much and just that makes it worth it to keep listening to their music 😊 I had a blast today watching your reaction, so thank you 💜 I still recommend you check out Real Existence cause you'll have plenty of videos to watch. No God is another great option cause there's plenty of fancams, an official live and there's also a video for the acoustic version (which is amazing 😍). On another topic, I checked out the Dreamcatcher songs you recommended and those were definitely an improvement. I don't think I'll become a devoted fan, but I can certainly see why people like them so much ✨ you talked about Stray Kids today and I know they are popular as well. Would you mind recommending a few songs from them that I should start with? I sure hope you'll read this, sorry for the text wall 😅 see you on the next one! 💜 Rock on, Po! 🕊️🤘🖤😎 PS: yes, Saiki is very pretty 😍
Thanks for giving Dreamcatcher a try, though! :) Stray Kids, by the way, is not rock. It is definitely modern K-pop (4th Gen K-pop). BUT, if you would like to check them out, check out God's Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, and Maniac. 😁 And I definitely read all the comments. Just don't respond much due to time. Really appreciate the long comments, too!!!
Excellent reaction as usual (and I love listening to a song on loop for a few hours too). Blooming is generally recognized as one of their masterpieces. It 's not in my top 5 songs of them ( At the moment it would be Puzzle, Moratorium, Honkai, Without Holding Back and Black Hole), but I love this one too for sure. You should really continue reacting to Band Maid, they have tens of songs you could potentially like even better than this one. You will often encounter the lack of additional content, there's nowhere near as much stuff as with K-pop. Japan in general and BM management in particular still don't quite understand how to promote its music overseas. To listen to, between the ones you said at the end, go for Choose Me or Warning or Real Existence (or Sayonakidori) they are all good.
This song is truly a masterpiece. I heard this song for the first time about a year ago, and the only songs I have been able compare it to are classical compositions like Mozart's Requiem or Vivaldi Four Seasons.
Yes, I've gotten that "best song" feeling a few times in my six decades of life but it has been quite a few years since I last experienced it... until I discovered Band-Maid that is. The mind blowing thing is that it has happened several times with these ladies. Though rock prevails throughout their music, you can't pin them to any particular category. The genre is just Band-Maid. They can be wonderfully nostalgic yet fresh and innovative. So happy to have discovered these girls and I'm glad that you have as well. Welcome to the pigeon hole!
"Blooming" is blooming awesome for sure...and is in my Top 4 MAID's track..... "Real Existence"...strangely enough..is also in my Top 4....Infact.. it's my No.2..behind "Daydreaming"..so you can't go wrong with either "Blooming" or "Real Existence"...because these ladies don't make bad songs...Long May They Reign! 👑
You've finally reacted to one of my favorite Band-Maid songs!!!!! My top 5 songs by them in order are: 1. The non fiction days 2. Choose me 3. Blooming 4. Cross 5. Black Hole From my top 5 I think you will especially love Choose me and Cross. Cross has an anime feel and the harmonies between Saiki and Miku in this song are amazing. Choose me is amazing and also one of their most popular songs.
As you mentioned and read many times by now, Band Maid is almost impossibe to pin into a genre. For me, with "Blooming", this is especially true. So, with that in mind... Genre of "Blooming": Band-Maid. Sub-genre of "Blooming": Quintessntial Band-Maid. And yes, "Blooming" is one the best, if not THE best song ever. It's a Masterwork. But don't worry, there are MANY more Band-Maid songs that will 🤯.🕊
Another very interesting reaction. One BM song that is another favorite of mine is Puzzle (live) and Puzzle acoustic (live). Then there is Daydreaming. Happy hunting!
That is your life as a reactor. And yes, I do hold Blooming in very high regard, but the Maids still develop. I would suggest Influencer and you have yet to hear a song like, ”No God” from the epic album Unseen World. Have fun. :)
Watching you vibe to this is fun. I'm glad you are enjoying listening to them. The first song of theirs that I ever heard was Real Existence. It made me go listen to all their stuff. I still really like Warning, and After Life as well.
Bro, I'm not sure if you discussed it in your stream but Lollapalooza 2023? NewJeans, TXT and more importantly :P~ Band-Maid is in the LINEUP! Even Rina Sawayama is included.
Szándosan magyarul írok. :D A Blooming egy ragyogó Band Maid szám. Megragad, fogva tart, és lehúzze az agyadat. He? Persze csak a normális emberekét.... :DDD Hö?
Imo. Songs that are great but not as great as blooming. Bubble, sense, hate, domination, play, freedom, gion-cho, no god, warning, after-life, Hibana, rock in me, moratorium, I can't live without you, take me higher, turn me on, unleash, cross, about us, yolo, before yesterday, non-fiction days, rinne, wonderland, I'll, page, mirage, at the drop of a hat, catharsis, anemone, freezer, clang, don't let me down, arcadia girl... Songs that are in the same tier as blooming. Daydreaming, influencer, black hole, alone, dice, smile, don't you tell me, real existence, savonakidori, Songs that are better than blooming. Secret my lips, choose me, puzzle, corallium, manners. The other songs not mentioned here are all good songs. Enjoy your journal on discovering band-maid. I'd like to see your reaction after you have done more than 40 band-maid songs.
"Blooming" isn't an unpopular or unappreciated track, there aren't many versions of it because the album/MV version is the best one. Check out @Dicodec's brief breakdown here, ua-cam.com/video/KS3moXQGJLs/v-deo.html, I think you'll find some insight in to why you like the song so much. Keep checking out Band-Maid!
When you first watched and Maidiacs claimed "Best band on the planet" You probably laughed to yourself, but I think you're starting to believe! You wanted to go down the pigeon hole and learn about the band. Start at this interview with the Band on Music Goldrush (it's subtitled) Part 1: ua-cam.com/video/R4PofsQYwn4/v-deo.html Part 2: ua-cam.com/video/YzWETTu-4iE/v-deo.html That will give you a good view into their personalities. They're big goofballs (A note: Saiki had pollups on her vocal chords at this point and that's why her voice is so gravelly, they've been removed since then) Now that you have a foundation I'd recommend this docuseries put together by band maid fans Saiki: ua-cam.com/video/3Mx_rZnqayg/v-deo.html Kanami: ua-cam.com/video/ZnUB_VAToLc/v-deo.html Akane: ua-cam.com/video/5fxIyUngHd8/v-deo.html Misa: ua-cam.com/video/EwBQPj6TabY/v-deo.html Miku (part 1): ua-cam.com/video/m0dYUlJ5E60/v-deo.html (part 2 is due soon) I think all of that will give you a very solid foundation of the band, but there are other fun ones: ua-cam.com/video/PP06OezWLrc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/h52yoVzPBO4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/wysi2FQJHaM/v-deo.html It's a lot of homework... but based on your videos you'll burn through all of this and want more. Enjoy, you'll love them even more after. Fair warning: a lot of these will use band maid music, so you’ll hear songs you haven’t yet.
My advice is just give up on the lyrics on the first listen and just experience the music. You're gonna watch it again like 4 or 5 more times at least, 😉 which I love btw, so just soak in the sound and then go back and follow the lyrics. Or maybe not, up to you. Enjoying the reaction either way! 😁
I think Blooming was ranked first out of their catalog on Gaijin Guys fan poll, Daydreaming was second??? So you are not an outlier... you are the 99% lol
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! Ohrenje has a great documentary series of all the Maids DEFINITELY educational funny and well put together.

Like the T-Shirt says, "Shut Up! Kanami is speaking." Never, but never, talk over solos. That's the Madiiac Mantra.
The genre,,,,,,,,It's called Band Maid.........This a perfectly written and performed song by unbelievably talented musicians that are cute as hell !!!!!!!
Music Gold rush interview will enlighten you and it has English subtitles.
Highly recommended!

Lucky!!
No matter what venue Band-Maid plays, they're always Blooming Brilliant! Thx, Kam.
Yesss Blooming is so good, one of my favorites from them, but it's hard to pick, they keep the quality in every song
32:04 YES!
You haven’t even heard your favorite Band Maid songs yet. Just wait, the list will be very very long.
If you're interested they're doing a US tour in May. Probably have a show close to where you're at.
I think you also like ”Influencer”.
Because of Band Maid i enjoy listen to music again over ten years
Band-maid is featured in KATE!
The sad thing about your binge-watching "Blooming" for an hour is that I watched it with you -- and I have already binge-watched it many times before ... well not sad really.
I think you may like their song Puzzle a lot. But you probably wanna listen to other more requested songs before like Warning! and Real Existence
I'll second that all around. There is absolutely no fan consensus favorite, but Puzzle is pretty consistently a lot of maidiacs second or third favorite.
This was a kind of taste of things to come - Kanami's composing went up a gear after this
Yeah Man, I've heard this song literally 100's upon 100's of times and, no mo, but ligit had goosebumps right as you mentioned it.
Agree, that outro is absolutely amazing. Definitely the best alongside moratorium, sayonakidori and choose me
oh and the outro to Secret Maiko / My Lips!
@@thegeekrelief SML outro for me the best: like walking on clouds! Fantastic!
Miku is really deep. Her lyrics can be spectacular and yet still poppy. She is so artistically close to kanami that she just sweats the meaning out of her music.
The Netflix movie Kate used this song in a car chase scene as background music. The Maids play Lollapalooza in Chicago in August.
And they appear in the movie on stage.
Love your content and keep doing it…thank you for reacting to BAND-MAID…go deep dive and yeah definitely 🤯
She is thee very best thank you for your information be wel
I would pay to have a CD of Kanami playing a selection of Band-Maid songs on piano. Seriously.
Ha Ha, Gotcha. Welcome to the wonderful world of BandMaid Po. 😉
Yes! I've dreamed of being able to share this song with someone and listen to this song with them over and over again, just enjoying its greatness ✨ your reaction was exactly what I hoped, I couldn't have asked for more. 💜
I knew you would love this song, but I also knew how few live videos there are for it and that's why I suggested Real Existence, but I'm glad you had no issue just watching the MV over and over 🥰 this is one of my absolute favorites from Band-Maid and it was my number 1 when that album came out. I was also afraid it wouldn't get better than that. "It's too good, how will they surpass this?" I remember thinking 😆 but you know what? With them, the awesomeness just doesn't stop. Even if you don't find a song that you like better than Blooming, I'm positive you'll at least find other songs that you'll like just as much and just that makes it worth it to keep listening to their music 😊
I had a blast today watching your reaction, so thank you 💜 I still recommend you check out Real Existence cause you'll have plenty of videos to watch.
Rock on, Po! 🕊️🤘🖤😎
PS: yes, Saiki is very pretty 😍
Thanks for giving Dreamcatcher a try, though! :)
Stray Kids, by the way, is not rock. It is definitely modern K-pop (4th Gen K-pop). BUT, if you would like to check them out, check out God's Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, and Maniac. 😁
And I definitely read all the comments.
Really enjoyed your reaction on this
Exactly....sometimes there isn't words to explain what you just experienced Po :)
My top 5 songs by them in order are:
1. The non fiction days
2. Choose me
3. Blooming
4. Cross
5. Black Hole
From my top 5 I think you will especially love Choose me and Cross. Cross has an anime feel and the harmonies between Saiki and Miku in this song are amazing. Choose me is amazing and also one of their most popular songs.
Many of their songs have very positive message.
But don't worry, there are MANY more Band-Maid songs that will 🤯.🕊
Watching you go through ALL the emotions wad fun. Same reaction I had.
Another very interesting reaction. One BM song that is another favorite of mine is Puzzle (live) and Puzzle acoustic (live). Then there is Daydreaming. Happy hunting!
Yes, Puzzle and Daydreaming are what I would recommend next as well.
What a great format ...
Enjoyed this very much ...
👍👍👍👍👍
I cant wait until you see their Christmas acoustic concert! 🤘
Its PO Rock !
Been waiting for more Band Maid. Im going to check out your favorite Korean band.
Bro, I'm not sure if you discussed it in your stream but Lollapalooza 2023? NewJeans, TXT and more importantly :P~ Band-Maid is in the LINEUP! Even Rina Sawayama is included.
If I did a top 100 BANDMAID songs. Blooming would rank between 30-40. Nice reaction, though.
Szándosan magyarul írok. :D A Blooming egy ragyogó Band Maid szám. Megragad, fogva tart, és lehúzze az agyadat. He? Persze csak a normális emberekét.... :DDD Hö?
Lol i like that you did the same thing i did the first time i heard this song which was listen to it about 100 times in a row.
Daydreaming, influencer, black hole, alone, dice, smile, don't you tell me, real existence, savonakidori,
Songs that are better than blooming. Secret my lips, choose me, puzzle, corallium, manners.
The other songs not mentioned here are all good songs. Enjoy your journal on discovering band-maid. I'd like to see your reaction after you have done more than 40 band-maid songs.
For me Band Maid is not a style or genre Band Maid is a sound. I feel the same about Blooming.
Wait till he gets to the acustic content 😂
When you first watched and Maidiacs claimed "Best band on the planet" You probably laughed to yourself, but I think you're starting to believe!
You wanted to go down the pigeon hole and learn about the band. Start at this interview with the Band on Music Goldrush (it's subtitled)
Part 1: ua-cam.com/video/R4PofsQYwn4/v-deo.html
Part 2: ua-cam.com/video/YzWETTu-4iE/v-deo.html
That will give you a good view into their personalities. They're big goofballs (A note: Saiki had pollups on her vocal chords at this point and that's why her voice is so gravelly, they've been removed since then)
Now that you have a foundation I'd recommend this docuseries put together by band maid fans
Saiki: ua-cam.com/video/3Mx_rZnqayg/v-deo.html
Kanami: ua-cam.com/video/ZnUB_VAToLc/v-deo.html
Akane: ua-cam.com/video/5fxIyUngHd8/v-deo.html
Misa: ua-cam.com/video/EwBQPj6TabY/v-deo.html
Miku (part 1): ua-cam.com/video/m0dYUlJ5E60/v-deo.html
(part 2 is due soon)
I think all of that will give you a very solid foundation of the band, but there are other fun ones:

ua-cam.com/video/wysi2FQJHaM/v-deo.html
It's a lot of homework... but based on your videos you'll burn through all of this and want more.
Could deal without the skin care advertisement for the first several minutes of the video. But good reaction after that.
You only have like 120 songs to go lol.
I think Blooming was ranked first out of their catalog on Gaijin Guys fan poll, Daydreaming was second??? So you are not an outlier... you are the 99% lol
