Hi everyone~ So I didn't come up with this method to solve cleaves, and I unfortunately don't know who did. But since the movement I described can be unclear from the video, take a look and cross reference the video with this pic! i.imgur.com/Ln1939t.png
Thank you so much for the ads phase with the cleaves. I failed to get all the pictures and explanations, but you made me understand it and see how easy it is by just focusing on what's important, which to get hit by and how to do it, rather than doing the entire picture and how everything cleaves.
When it comes down to it, IMO this fight looks more intimidating/complex than it actually is, but it's still very punishing, probably the encounter that takes the most time to prog (at least in my experience, Queen is also a fight where playing carefully is vital, but it's probably easier to understand) and it's extremely important to know and respect the mechanics. It is very, very easy to die otherwise and that breaks runs easily. Staying focused and making mental notes like the one you mention during the ladder game repeating to yourself where to go is a good trick to not lose track of things. The fight is great fun and very satisfying to do flawlessly without deaths, certainly my favorite to do and for it alone it's worth getting into DRS. Great job on the guide!
Yeah, the mechanics at their bare bones are actually quite simple. The difficulty comes with trying to solve them while also doing your own personal math & remembering where you need to be! This fight is one of my favourites that's come out of Final Fantasy XIV in a looong time because of the hidden complexities of the mechanics! It's a great fun fight without it being overwhelmingly difficult. Thanks so much for the comment!
The safe square is diagonal to the crossed swords of the clones. That's how someone else explained it. Then you can resolve your debuff by adjacent squares.
Would it be possible to provide some visual step by step for how you decide to move into your clone's cleave? I couldn't seem to fully picture how the movement would look. But your guide and explanation for everything else has made this much clearer, thank you!
Hey! So sorry it didn't come across that clearly in the video. I unfortunately lacked good footage of that specific movement since I only had to do it once. Here's a chart that explains it better! i.imgur.com/Ln1939t.png In that picture, the first and last diagram are of the movement when your clone is cleaving the bottom of the screen ( 7:46 in the video ) The second and third diagram is what your movement should look like when your clone cleaves the left or right ( 7:34 ) Hope that helps!
What I don't get is - can you for example get cleaved by +1 Fire slash at 8:10 cleaves and since you have +1 ice temperature brand = will it be okay when timer runs out? Do the cleaves ADD temperature depending on cleave or simply CHANGE it. So for e.g. I have 1 fire debuff and +2 fire brand on either ladder game or the cleaves. Can I do this - Get hit by 2 ice in ladder game and be okay OR get hit by 2 ice cleave in the cleave mech ONCE and only ONCE and be okay? Do you get the temperature exactly the amount showed of the cleave or arrow in ladder game when you get hit by it or do you have to do math and subtract or add? +1 fire debuff and +2 cold elemental brand at the end. If I get hit by EITHER +1 fire or +2 fire does that sum up to +3 somehow OR just simply changes it to +2 fire?
The cleaves add or subtract temperature, not change it. So if you had 2 fire on your meter, and 1 fire on your debuff, you would need to get hit by ice cleaves twice to solve it (2 ice + 1 ice)! I hope that answers your q :)
So the arrows in Bow phase take an "invisible" path from where they start to where the group is standing. Every arrow (including the empty space) will travel down the path taking any possible turn. You can see it happen at 5:00 in the video (its really fast) and I also drew out the path overtop this picture i.imgur.com/SOFNd1T.png If you're asking about the forced march arrow that turns your character, it will be in your debuff bar and look like this i.imgur.com/MNUlBIG.png this one means your character will turn around and start walking backwards! Hope that helps
I hate being this guy, pardon my OCD. know it's been 3 years and you probably already know, but it's pronounced "Boz-ya". Amazing guide btw very easy to understand

are you going to make a queens guide too? :)
@@cramla Hey! So rn I unfortunately don't have enough footage of the fight that a full guide would require, but I hope to get some later!
Great video! A tip for quickly finding the safe spot: it's always near the clones facing alongside the square (not facing inward or outward).
It'd be amazing if you did all the fights, you're the only person who has made ANY guides about these fights so far.
This is a really good guide. Voice is calm, easy to understand, and not rushing. Hope you do more.
This was really helpful! I enjoy your style and delivery. Like someone else mentioned, would love more guides like this for the other fights!

You just saved me finding a strat for sword cleaves 30 minutes before my prog, thanks!
I want to say as a man who's in the process of trying to learn these fights before he jumps in a discord, Thank you. This means the world to me.
I like how you explained this one! I am hoping you do guides in the future especially Savage fights 🤩

This was an amazing guide. Congratulations and very thank you
My brain is melting with the clone part. Like actual butter.
Great guide! Very clear and it saved my life tonight xD

I was hoping you had a tutorial for each boss. 😔 So far you had the simplest and most clear guide.
Oops just figured I already commented a month ago 😂
so many mechanics xD Really good guide!
please make the guide for the rest of the Delubrum bosses

Great guide Miss! Might try doing this later :3
I encourage you to! It's a really fun instance & encounter. Get out there and give it a go c:
that quad cleave atk with 1 safe space is brutal and goes over my head
Bruh I dont get 7:38 clip. The Hot 1 is need was facing other way you move 2 squares but it looks like hot 2 would cleave you but not im so confused

Huh sorry I’m new but did u skipped the ladder mechanic part ? How to identify where the Debuff go
I absolutely despise this fight. Ive died 900 times on it even if i dont die on other fights in this raid. Thank you for this!
great guide
This was helpfull thanks
Thank you
My smooth brain is gonna mess up all these mechanics 😫great vid tho
The explanation at the sword mechanic was way too confusing
which aether data center you play in ?
I'm on Primal!
Here is what I do not understand: What arrow turns ?? I dont see any

@@everveil I am still having issues with the ladder ; ; I am too dumb for this..............
More please.
Must be nice to do this content.
SWORD IS SO CONFUSING
