we were planning on going, but it was just after a ranger was shot and killed and 2 british tourists were kidnapped, so they closed the Rwanda-DRC border. We had a week planned in the DRC, and were sad to not be able to go. I was able to cross from Burundi to the DRC, but I didn’t have time to go to KB Park…..it is my dream to return and go!
Hey Howard Rosner try the trekking in Uganda, Uganda is safe and the parks are open too if still interested i can provide with every infromation needed
Presently, tourism accounts for one quarter of the Kahuzi-Biega National Park revenue and represents a considerable source of financing in favor of conservation and the national Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN) budget. For permits and how to get to Kahuzi-Biega, Ubuntu voyages can provide more info
I can't wait to go!!!!
