Karamo's episode was my favorite! I bust out laughing when Karamo therapized Tyler, he just can't help himself 😂😂😂 it was rather uncomfortable, but it was just SO Karamo hahaha. I would be extremely happy to see Tyler become part of, or even be a guest on, Queen Eye! Love that show so much.

I laughed too but Karamo can really see people and what they’re going through and it’s as much of a gift as Tyler’s 💜 they’re amazing people.

Absolutely! I completely agree with this comment. Tyler, just remember that more often than not, people will call you a fraud or fake out of their own fear of the unknown. They don't understand your gifts and cannot even fathom being able to see, hear, feel & speak to souls that are no longer in their physical body. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with you as a person or your abilities. They are simply projecting their fears & frustrations on to you. Which does NOT in any way make it right nor does it excuse their reactions and reasons. But you, are at a higher vibrational level & knowledge and intelligence gives you the ability to dismiss the ignorance, faster and more effective than if you just wait & wish for their understanding and acceptance.

I absolutely love the genuine care & concern that Karamo showed for Tyler. You can tell that he is genuinely caring, intuitive person. On the other hand, it also reminded me of the way that we are as "givers," in that he physically couldn't allow Tyler to bestow him such a gift without reciprocating with a gift of his own.

Karamo has a very strong intuitive gift, and the look in his eyes while Tyler reads him shows an utter fascination with the accuracy. Karamo knows he can do "this" also, and knows he can learn how to strengthen his gift by having this experience and learning from it.

Watch the newer queer eye. New cast (And the older one too, different set of wonderful human beings!). But the newer shows, Karamo makes me cry almost every time. He is a empath and gentle soul. 💜 obviously love you too Carson!!! And we always love to watch you on other shows like Beat Bobby Flay! My husband ALWAYS wishes for you to be on again and again! I LOVE that Karomo spoke to Tyler in a spirit of concern, curiosity, and caring. I would hope Tyler reaches out to him from time to time to check in and get a good perspective on where he is in his own journey.
As a counselor, it makes me feel rather uncomfortable to see Karamo getting into therapist mode with Tyler without his consent. It’s a really vulnerable thing to “expose” someone’s defense mechanism, much more so when it was being done with cameras filming every reaction to be shown to millions of ppl. That being said, I think Tyler deserves all the love and care in the world as he is such a kind soulful person. I resonate with everything he said about the risks he has to face by showing up to work everyday. And I don’t know how old Karamo is, but he doesn’t look that much older than Tyler! He is handsome!

I agree as a licensed professional counselor in clinical practice myself that felt cringey, I agree with Karamo's son's question of "what's he doing". It's like you're not in a therapy session now, quit trying to get away from more of your own reading by taking the power by going into therapist mode and reflecting someone's defense mechanism in a public forum. And for those who say that "Tyler could've left if he wanted, etc." There's an age difference, and the power dynamic both of Karamo acting as a therapist and of differences in wealth and status and an unexpected role reversal all of which which might make that psychologically difficult when Tyler was being put without consent in the "client" role. Also there is a question of ethics around using therapuetic techniques and exposing someone's potential vulnerabilities publically as without any apparent consent to switch the roles as opposed to an ethical obligation (and frankly just good therapuetic etiquette) to protect someone's confidentiality. This, on camera felt oddly manipulative and not in a good way to me. If that concern was genuine that part should have been done off camera and behind the scenes not publically shown, this just seemed for publicity.
This was filmed 6 years ago so Tyler, now at 28, would be in a different place mentally now.
As a therapist myself, I've appreciated hearing from other therapists on here. In the moment, I found what Karamo did incredibly touching and felt genuinely happy for Tyler that someone was looking out for him. On reflection, I can see what y'all are saying. However, we don't know that there wasn't consent because Tyler's readings usually last a couple of hours (he's said sometimes up to 6) and this was 10-15 minutes. They showed Karamo doing that seemingly in the middle of the reading, but we don't know when it happened. It's possible Tyler was done and Karamo asked him if he was comfortable doing a bit of a "reading" of him. I imagine that if Tyler had felt in any way off about the exchange, it wouldn't have made it into the final cut. Still - I appreciate what y'all have said. I will choose to have faith that Karamo was on the up and up , and it was one of the many things that wound up getting edited out.

Carsen has always come off as a sassy yet incredibly sweet human being. I just adore the man. That bright light and sparkle in his eyes are like a window into his soul and genuine nature, something that just can't be faked. So interesting to see Karamo go into his QE role with Tyler. When he asked what Tyler feels the risk is, I remember seeing one video where Tyler says to his mom in the car that whenever he goes to a reading, it's like he's jumping out of a plane and just hoping the parachute opens. 😱

Tyler has said that sometimes the people he has readings for won't let him air some parts of the reading because it's too personal. Makes me wonder how much Carson wouldn't let air because his reading seemed much too quick. I was laughing when Karamo tried turning the tables and sort of "reading" Tyler - I swear it seemed Tyler was a little amused by it. When he told Tyler that sometimes smiling was a defense mechanism I thought "Sure, kinda how like you're trying to turn things around where you're pulling personal things out of Tyler as a defense mechanism."
Karamo calling tyler out randomly for smiling as a "defence mechanism" after he had just said it makes him feel better, is such a classic scorpio power play move when they are feeling vulnerable. And karamo just said he's not used to not being the interviewer, eg the one in control. It was so awkward and out of line. Yikes.
