I watched that guys every step, having so much around him,he new exactly what he was doing. awesome watching different cultures making a living. Thank you.
This was cool and impressive. The amount of work that these black smiths do in a blade with simple tools, they should be worth a fortune. Thanks for sharing man. ATB Dude.
Those people paying $3,000 USD for those new tiny air compressor rotory gun kits, would kick themselves after watching this guy..He sat in a pile of dust and created that masterpiece of art.Love this...
I just stumbled onto your channel, and mate the work is awesome. Street Blacksmithing is huge. Nothing wasted , no frills, just good tradesmen doing what they do to make the tools they need. I haven't checked out the rest of the channel but subscribed anyhow. Cheers.
Exellen Business idea "on the knee" for beginners. What you can do with minimum tools! We tend to over complicate things, I'm not making knifes because I do not have the beltsander, OMG! Give this guy a safety glasses next time you see him. Аwesome job!
most of people that work on this one, they are poor and it can be his main job. so they saving money by anything that almost impossible with less tool and safety equipment. they just buy some safety equipment that really needed or just work carefully
that goes to show ya here in America we think we need a shop with a million dollars worth of tools and these guys got some cheap grinders and a lot of skill I would love to be able to go and watch these guys and apprentice with them
Can someone sponsor him leather gloves and face shield. In spite of safety lapses; the product is excellent. Yeah a surgeon armed with a grinder. From Singapore. Peace.
Fingloi Delos reyes not to mention leather could be get caught in the blade causing more damage If an accident occurred. It’s almost always safer not to use gloves with an angle grinder
Menuda leccion de humildad y tecnica....la ausencia de lesiones en sus dedos...el inpresionante trabajo que hace rodeado de ese caos logico...madre mia...miro mi taller y parece la nasa...
the brass fillet on the back is not just for decoration ,its for catching the blade of an opponant when fighting to stop his blade sliding up yours . i believe the "origional" bowie knife was described as having a brass back for the same reason
spoplehughes you are correct! also did you know phill collins donated one of the largest Alamo memorabilia collections to texas. i don't know if it's true but i heard the original jim bowie knife was in that collection
One thing ive always wondered..if you tok one of these guys..like this guy here..and you gave him the use of a fully decked out western style modern knife making shop. with everything the belt grinder the surface grinder all the machines they have in professional shops..and gave them 6 months to get used to all of it and know the ropes..I would LOVE to see what these guys turn out.
Outstanding craftsmanship with the minimal amount of tools. It would be a great honored to know how I could send them some safety glasses. From one craftsman to other.
You can find him in Lombok. It's in the East Java. Yeah bring him safety glasses leather gloves and bandages. Just in case. Anyway the Island of Bali is not too far off.
OMG This guy has know eye protection or nothing on his feet. Did you see him stop the saw blade with his hand? That is so crazy one slip and there goes a finger or hand. I was coming unglued in my seat watching this guy make that knife .Also when he worked with the brass poping everywhere. I thought yep, There goes an eye, lucky for him fate was on his side that day, but sooner or later it will catch him.
I recently went on a 30 day tour of asia, The big cities as well as the small countries. I made it as far north as Japan and even The beginning of the Mongolian steppes. Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai are wonderful but. traveling to places like Vietnam or Cambodia where you innovate or starve. Everything has more than one use and is usable until it burns into the ground it becomes more worthwhile to recycle it than use it anymore.!
JEEZE!!!! these guys have NO FEAR when they use those angle grinders. NONE what so ever. Id be shaking like a leaf getting my fingers that near a spinning cutting disk. Id have to have at least used a pair of vise grips and gloves. But not these guys...craftsmen who are confident...my admiration is HUGE!
Все понимаю, условия минимум, но ТБ никто не отменял... диск циркулярный на балгарке, да еще без защитного кожуха, без жесткой опоры, все на весу, на руках, это звездец, смертник, но пока везёт, красиво и мастерски.
The smith's control of his tools is amazing, the fact that he does everything basically freehand is impressive.
I watched that guys every step, having so much around him,he new exactly what he was doing. awesome watching different cultures making a living. Thank you.
Amazing to watch other cultures and how they work. Who needs work boots when you have feet made of leather
LOL
Exceptionally talented artisan. Carving and shaping things with an angle grinder shows tremendous control over his hands.
This was cool and impressive. The amount of work that these black smiths do in a blade with simple tools, they should be worth a fortune. Thanks for sharing man. ATB Dude.

I'd love to see what he could do if he was stateside and came to my forge. If he can do that with almost nothing, he could make a masterpiece!

Amazing
I go to bali every year have been for the past 8 years yet to find a blacksmith in bali any pointers as to finding one thanks..
That's in lombok not bali
Where can these be purchased, the craftsmanship is outstanding
Will they post the address and name of this blacksmith so I can promote his products? I intend to have a couple made for my collection too...
If you’ve watched the whole video and pay attention at the end. We read out the address and name.
It's sells for local only I think, he didn't sell it for shipping, not at least if you pay someone to deliver it out of Indonesia
Hi .. he used mud so the brass back didn't come off water could cause it to come off the blade ..
The only problem for me is, the blade needs a couple of pins to attach it to the handle to make it more effective.
Next up welding without a hood!
Jossst psk e
OSHA approved
Very Talented. But Man, where is the safety glass?
made in indonesian good job
Wow
those fingers are strong. he is using them as brakes on that grinder.
Am I the only one who feels if these people had long hair they would look almost identical to many of the native Americans?
this from lombok😀iknow this
Bahasa sasak lombok bagian tengah selatan..

Did he temper the blade?
Safety glasses must be more expensive than grinding discs
Safety glasses are a western thing because ppl are stupid and sue because they hurt themselves
