- Hallo zusammen!

Hello again to my international listeners!
This song was written by a local (quite popular) a-capella group called "BASTA". It's about misperceived love between a pizza delivery guy and a girl playing second violin in the orchestra. To show you what's going on in this story I translated the lyrics for you (see below).
I recorded this in the living room, grand piano and vocals simultaneously. I used large diaphragm mics positioned close to the hammers and an M/S room-mic (Zoom H6).
I don't have any scores or sheet music, I played this by ear as usual.
The orchestra parts were recorded one by one via VSTi plugin "Miroslav Philharmonik".
I hope you enjoyed it!
LYRICs (translated, not transcribed)
The second violin
He noticed her at an orchestra rehearsal
He couldn't even tell why
He went past her and saw her smile about something
on his way taking the order back to his delivery post
To the intern he gave lasagna
To the porter he gave the salad
He elegantly wrote the pizza taxi receipt
And all the time he couldn't think of anything
but the girl with the violin in her hands
And as he gratefully took in the tip
he swore to himself that if he had forgotten the tip
this all would have been in vain
he would have failed and spurned his chance of happiness
On his way back to the delivery post
he devised a plan
it was dorky but this wouldn't work any other way
he'd buy tickets for the upcoming symphonic concert
he'd listen to classical music just to be able to see her
As the evening approached he felt curiously odd
But he went there anyway
Not as a pizza delivery man, but as an auditor for the first time
He wore his best shirt and a bow tie in metallic blue
which he had his neighbour align for him after lunch
He was anxious as she appeared on the stage at eight
And everything around him seemed to freeze in time as she played her first notes
And he somehow felt deeply touched, wondering by what exactly...
It was the love for the second violin
building up requiems and oratories inside him
She played the violin and he had to cry
He was versed in love, but not well enough for this...
It was the love for the second violin
building up requiems and oratories inside him
She played the violin and he had to cry
He knew about love, but not in that great a shape
The next day he went downtown
and bought the music the orchestra played the night before
He started the CD and suddenly it all reappeared:
Her face and her melody
His heart beat quickened
and a weird new pulse controlled his veins
and his peregrine blood flow
As he fell silent and listened carefully
he could hear the stars, and the moon, and the incoming tide...
The earth seemed to gently dance in step of her sound
He had never felt anything like it before
But the more he went for it now; and he hummed the tune
And it wouldn't escape him, whereever he might wander, whatever he might do
About one week later, there again came the night
the night he'd see her again and listen to her play the violin
he bought roses and a ticket close to his former seat
and nothing and nobody could get between him and his love
So there he sat once more and watched her play again
and during the second half it happened
she glanced toward him and her eyes met his
and in this moment he realized it was over
One last time he looked back at her before rising to leave
Because in that moment she saw him, he knew, she wouldn't ever see him
It was all over before it had begun really,
whatever might have come off it
CHORUS 3x
