- "That Wave Was Atleast 7 Feet" - Billy Hargrove.
William "Billy" Hargrove (portrayed by Dacre Montgomery) was careless, rash, and verbally abusive to his stepsister Max - a consequence of the physical abuse he himself suffers from his very abusive father. He is rather promiscuous, often sleeping with bored housewives. In season 3, he becomes the unwilling catalyst for the Mind Flayer. Flashbacks reveal that Billy had a close and loving relationship with his mother but she left when he was young due to his father's abuse, explaining his comfort around older women. Eleven later reminds Billy of his mother, allowing him to break free from the possession, and sacrifice himself to save Eleven from the Mind Flayer. As he died, he finally apologized to Max for all his wrongdoings.

Billy is a relatable character to the people who try to act hard to hide their inner pain. It's kind of poetic he ended up possessed and killing people while crying inside.

He was so misunderstood. Billy has been the badass of the 80s, I have never seen. A true rockstar and he died like one. Too bad Vecna didn't give him another chance.

There may be a possibility! I thought about the team finding some way to turn back time (time travel more or less) and save all the victims that was claimed from the upside down.. Based on what we've seen with Nancy ending up in a different timeline but still in the upside down when she fell through that portal in s4.. Maybe some hints of everyone being able to be brought back to life?
@@SourDieselWW3 the worst part was that he didn't redeem himself in life with max, despite apologizing before he died we hoped at least they could understand each other, in my opinion he could have made peace with his sister before he died in s3, a few minutes before or even having survived the mind flayer and at s4 yes at the end of it against another creature or vecna he had sacrificed himself for the group, they could have shown him being a better person and redeeming himself with each character in this last season, it would give more emphasis to the character, i believe he started his redemption by saving eleven so yes, he could be a person who learned to be better, but i hope that in s5 he comes back somehow, either go back in time or resurrect him somehow

Billy will always be my favorite character from literally all series, I’ve seen many series but no one has won over my heart like Billy, I feel so related to him, having a bad childhood can affect anyone and at the end he died like a hero, a true rockstar

i think that stranger things could have used the character billy more.. since in the end he changed and saved eleven, i still believe that billy can come back in stranger things 4 because in the stranger things universe anything is possible.
He was definitely underutilized. There was so much potential there and the actor was fantastic. But Billy was and is a great character.
He got limited screen time in season 2 but was the focus as a villain in season 3. But yeah, probably my favorite character. Wish he was still in it
