A most interesting stock book you have. I have a small amount of Germania Deutsches Reich, 1905, 1916, 1920 new colors and 1922 new values. These particular designs always fascinated me since I first saw them when I was a kid. I first received a few of them in one of those big bag o stamps many years ago. It wasn't until recently that I became aware of how many verities there are. The Danzig overprints are especially nice.
I'm going through my German stamps right now and am putting my early Hamburg and German states, and private postal stamps, China and Morocco overprint in a stockbook.I got the stamps you sent. Thank you, You should get another package any day now. Alan
The German States and post offices abroad are fun to collect, I once won an ebay auction for a nice set of the China overprints but the seller claimed that lot picture was wrong and didn't ship them, my guess is that my winning bid was too low. I hope you find a few Machins and Wildings from the lot I sent what fill holes in your collection. I was surprised at how many Machins I still do not have and some that I have just a few of all have damage as I bough a very poor quality kiloware lot last year. I was able to send you one of the 11d wildings, those are relatively uncommon. I don't know if you have any of 2'6 and 5' castle stamps with the wilding portrait. I have a few spares of those if you need some. I also have some George V and VI as well as Edward VIII stamps if you need any of those for your collection. & and if there is any particular Machin or Wilding you need still feel free to ask and i will see if I have it.
Lets make sure you get the last lot I sent you first. In the mean time I will start setting aside some German Empire stamps for you. They just wont all be from the late 30s - 45 as I don't have many duplicates from that time period. I do have some though. when I get those out to you, you can decide if you want to send something back.
I just recently viewed a video by "Stamps My Fun Things" of May 9th, 2021 8.2 where he mentions a book that outlines the 'counterfeit' cancellations for the inflation series German Stamps.
Hello Daniel, Thanks for watching! I have not yet watched the video you mention, maybe later today, but I suspect the book is by Infla Berlin and is Book 13 - "Falschstempel der Inflation". I recently bought a copy but have not put it to serious use yet.
