So wait a minute if alcohol turns green cause of chlorophyll. If we remove the chlorophyll why does the plant turn blue black if chlorophyll is not present . If we remove cholophyll won't the starch be removed else well?

The alcohol removes the chlorophyll from the leaf. Then iodine solution was added because there was still amount of starch present in the leaf
