- So many Costa Rica visitors visit popular sites like La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano and the beaches, but no one mentions Bijagua.
Made popular by the attraction Rio Celeste, many come to Bijagua to visit Rio Celeste waterfall but don't stay longer to really appreciate what this town has to offer. I took a short trip from San Jose to explore Bijagua with a local conservationist and my! The variety of animals here is astounding. From tapirs to sloths, poison frogs to bird species, you'll be left with your jaws hanging .
Grab a local guide (I highly recommend it) and let's find the cutest animals on earth!
