- I got this as part of a test and review for short money. I plan on using it to expand my camera angles for my video, like I need one more thing, which camera do I look at???

received mine today this video helped understand how to operate it and gave me a great idea on what to buy ti add to it. thanks buddy. ( 32GB i went with, and mini power pack from canadian tire i use mine for security cam. $30 canadian sd 32GB, mini power bank and exact mini cam)
This is an old video, glad it still helped. Do not try to super glue anything near the lens... It ruined mine lol...

Well we have at least one day of niceness here today. It's 50F and snow is melting, unfortunately the frost line is still way up so the first 4" of earth is just mud now.... Hope you heel up good and strong man, happy flying.

This is axcactly what they use for that, rc plane dudes as well, also the 808 keychain cam clones are hella cheap too. Don't matter if you crash a ruin a $10 camera, so long as you had it recording at the time lol.
Your slow boat from China finally arrived, then! Still waiting for mine, but early days yet. Loved that waterproof casing. Did you order it from same person or find it somewhere else? I haven't seen that in any other reviews.
I got the whole excesories package from ebay as well but i don't think it was the same seller.
I have had two of these MD80 type DVRs. Both junk, battery lasted about a month. I was interested in a body camera, but the videos were so bouncy they were worthless. Your videos were slightly better than mine. I have yet to find any of the Chinese mini-DVRs that are not junk.
yeah, I messed with this so much I broke it... actually got super glue on the lens.
I had got one of those a while back from nomorerack and had to return it because the camera was lined up halfway through the aperture. Good luck with that camera!
That's too bad. I've already taken this lil guy apart to explore it's possibilities and can see how the lense could get dismounted off it's spot.
I'm pretty sure the one I got was made on a Chinese version of a Friday. I love the idea though. Yours seems to work great. I may have to give it a shot again.

I do not know buddy, sorry. Could be defective, try contacting the seller and maybe they'll send a working one.
Must it be paired with phone?.. a why does it keep flashing red/blue then go off?

The road trip was very cool...I started to laugh, I thought it was the start of a Keithie6 video. Not bad at all for a cheapo camera. I like it.

I bet they were more than $10 but came from the same place. I've seen pens, watches, glasses, lighters, even thumb drives with these little camera setups. I've got a keychain one coming in the mail that's suposed to be 1080p TRUE HD, i'll do a review on it too, maybe a bit more detailed and less blah blah blah than this one. Just learning the "test and rewiew" style so bear with me lol.
My camera came with no ID # sticker on it . Is there any way I can ID it for set up without an ID sticker on it? Also thanks for the video, great job!

Just going thew old comments and realized I missed this one man... So do you want a link for the camera or the cigar box ?lol. I can send you a cigar box no prob but for the camera you have to price shop Amazona and Eeabay, just do a search for "M80 HD Camera" and you'll get a bunch of them, try to find one with a lense angle greater than 90* if you can. the one I have is like a 60* and it's really zoomed in, unless that's what you want. yes sir I am. Building Director for 3 entire medical building and 2 others that we lease space in. I did Apt. maintenance for almost 12 years, commercial maint. at a big bakery for almost 2 then this gig. Winter is my busy season but the rest of the year it's the job most people would looooove, until that one service call that needs a shop vac and a plunger then NO ONE wants my job.
Yep, I knew soon as I seen the ole bucket and picker.... I did maintenance e for 10 years as a supervisor and manager and managed over 300 apt by my self for 3 years. (We stayed Full until we got a new manager). Before that I use to build houses and in the south that's an all year round job, it don't slow down in the winter here. I answered the pager at 3 in the morning many times with a plunger and shop vac, Most of the times the water was so bad I had to call for an extraction and micro ban. I know the heart aches my friend and summer gets busy around here with ac calls. Unless they have kids, they don't call about the heart until it gets serious. LOL Nice to meet a fellow maintenance man. Raise your pickers in salute! Ting!!
I salute you my friend. My apartment experience included one property with 580 units (shit hole with stingy owners), an ok property with 120 units and the first place I did maintenance had 760 in 2 locations across town. Then i did big commercial stuff before the medical buildings now. No pager here and i don't miss it. Everyone goes home at night so the buildings are empty. Love my job.....now.
Here's to the good ole days! Wish I had a job I loved, best job I ever had had a nasty manager who micro managed everything and ruined it for everyone. But it was a great job till then. on to the next subject..............

Yeah, take it for what it's worth Drew, video like that but that's it. No zoom, no auto focus, no macro or stabilization. Just a lens putting AVI files on an SD card, simple but it works. I've got a keychain camera on the way too and it's suposed to be true 1080p HD but we'll see.
NH treasurehunter Let me know how well it works out for you in the future. I thought that the video looked great. I think it would be great to put on the Detector rod.

Do you have to plug it into the computer ? What if I don't have a computer
you will need something to read the memory card i n its format. plus setting the date stamp is easiest from the computer as i dont know how else to do it.
How are you going to view the videos you recorded ? Where are you going to store the videos? ???????

There are thousands tutorials about this camera on UA-cam but almost no video shooting, I wonder if it really works.
It does, it's very "zoomed in" which is how they get the 720p tag but you only get to use the middle 300ish. Kinda jumpy on fast moving things but for the money, totally serviceable as a stand still camera

That's what alot of quad copter dude are using, look at the 808 keychain camera for and great little horizontal surface mount. Same short money, i've actually got one in the mail to me now for test and review so keep a look out for that in the next week. Thanks dude.
Why does everybody talks about cameras and the SD card but they don't tell you what size it is like a 8 16,32 ,64 come on come on be more pacific man

hi im having trouble with the video quality. Sometimes it works fine and other times the video playback is black screen and sound is electronic gibberish? any thoughts?

how long the capacity for one video ?
Depends how large the memory card is I guess. But if on motion and there's no motion for 10 seconds it goes back into standby.

I think it might work good for live digs if I clip it in a tree 10 feet away or looking at the whole scenery while I'm talking non sense or something like that. Hey, for the money I'll tape it to a bottle rocket and see what happens lol.
How many hours to charge this cam?.
I don't have it anymore but I think it was only a couple maybe 3 hours.
How do you charge it I plug it in it only stays red ...no blue light comes on ??? Charged it two hrs still red light no blue .

My camera instructions are horrible. It does not tell you what app to use or clear on how to use it.
Does it work with 16 GB ?. If you put 32 GB will it work,on eBay seller post 32GB.Thanks

I got this on Ebay but you can find them on Amazon too. Just do a search for MD80 and sort by price lowest first and you'll find them for about $8-$10. No SD card though.
