I took advantage of the LTD that happened a long time ago as the deal was too good to ignore. I have yet to use a PRO feature but someday I'll grow up and be able to play with the big toys!
I've only ever really used the Gallery and Repeater PRO fields - like you say, the free version is so powerful you can do almost everything you need with just that.
I'm in the very beginning of my business path, with my first project, I really felt the need to get the Custom Options Page and the Gallery field, almost went for PODs (but it's too ugly for client work) instead I was able to work that around with a bunch of php and shortcodes. But out of curiosity, what did you do when a Gallery field was needed or what about the custom options page? You never needed them, you found another solution or just kept things simpler?
I bought ACF Pro due to FOMO and I never used it anywhere. Most websites I built used ACF free which is more than enough. Also, I noticed some folks use repeater for showing posts which you can also do with query loop element in gutenberg.
It would be nice if ACF included a type of Post Types Order capability into their plugin. Do you know if Post Types Order is problematic in regard to ACF? Thanks!
After a long time using ACF and applying it to many of the most complex websites. Then I realized the surprising thing: I didn't need, and didn't even want, to apply ACF PRO features to complex, high-quality websites. That sounds contradictory but it's true. Even to me, the use of ACF Pro features is a sign of lack of intelligence in arranging and setting up ACF fields. Because the free version actually includes the most important features. If you're forced to use Pro features, it's a clear sign things are getting messy. I have consistently followed this method and consistently created the fastest and most professional websites. The funny thing is that if you use ACF Pro, it proves that your website is not professional
Wow, so needing a repeater or flexible content, two absolutely crucial components for any complex site, is a sing of lack of intelligence. Prime Dunning-Kruger effect example.
You can’t use ACF with Elementor free as it doesn’t have the dynamic tags functionality. You either need pro or a plugin like Dynamic Content for Elementor.
Speaking of a crippled plugin… I wish Admin Columns (free) was able to do just a little more, it would make life way easier when working with ACF. Btw Paul, do you know an alternative or something with similar features?
@@WPTuts thanks for the reply, Paul Well, if any developer reads this and is looking for a new project… 😂 Btw, do you plan on making more videos on ACPT or CubeWP in the future? They’re still young, but look quite promising! (ACPT as a general workhouse meta manager, and CubeWP for more specific usages with all their addons)
Loving that 80's vibe music between the scenes :)

Exactly. Unless you have a need for a specific feature, the free version of ACF offers more than enough for many use cases.
Out of all our website builds in almost 10 years, we only had to purchase ACF Pro once for the repeater field.
Exactly my point. Unless you need to pro features, free is a pretty full tool. 🤘🏻

That was super helpful. ACF should add this video in there Free Vs Pro comparison xD

Are you willing to resell your license? Asking for a friend… 👼😁😁😁
Nope@@bluetheredpanda
@@bluetheredpanda are you willing to share the license for 50% cost?
@@anonymousbird-4 I guess I would consider it for a license that doesn’t expire, but not for the yearly license their offer these days.
Just today I almost bought ACF pro because of the options pages. I will tell you when I do.

Hello, I did not buy acf pro, but I need to show a gallery (for a car sales website), is it possible in another way?

How do images uploaded via the ACF field automatically be deleted when the image in the ACF field is changed?
Buy it if you need it. Thanks for reading about pro features from their website. Looks like I don't need it.
Can u make tutorial ACF with free Elementor. U confused me with loops archives etc. thx

I think for us beginners paying elementor pro is not needed
@@blagojelukic I’m no plug-in developer so I don’t imagine I’ll be doing that sorry.
I would love to see a way of building an EASY directory site with something better than the free HIVE theme. Any ideas?
Look on this channel and you’ll find lots of tutorials on how to build this type of thing. Then use those skills to build things out like you want.

I’m afraid I don’t. I know what you mean though. I love ACP, but can work out a little pricey.
