If it's a TL player, there are Impact, Xmithie, Jensen, DL, CoreJJ. Impact (famous, Asian like presumably Ning and his gf) and Xmithie (wild reputation) seem most likely out of those. If that is true, I think even less off Ning. Until now I had thought he was bad because he was sad about a breakup. Talk about "skewing the stats": LS gets apoplectic over EG's staff saying Jojo's stats do not amount to a bad split and both he and Dom only rebut the comment about his "laning stats" while ignoring that part where he leads ALL Mids in Damage Per minute, which is much more important that just CS leads in lane. That said, I do agree with the EYE Test of simply who looks the best on teh rift and Jojo wouldn't be at the top there. But he certainly hasn't played badly at all. I think he does get bored at times with the pace of these games and he's really hungry to make something happen. Plus he plays unselfishly, always initiating for his team which he has to do even more now because Ssumday isn't nearly as good at leading the charge as Impact was.

Pyosik was never the best LCK jungler or even at world's but as a TEAM DRX played well and punished all their opponents and kept their mental strong which was their biggest advantage over the other teams at world's 2022

I want to say the difference is Chovy did both, best lane stats + actually performed well in the game. Meanwhile, jojo wasn't performing, yet his scouter was like "yeah but he had the best lane stats, so he wasn't actually playing bad". It's a correlation vs. causation issue.
Easiest way to explain this is map presence. Losing stats in lane (cs/d, gold diff, xp diff) while pressuring the rest of the map and maintaining your teams base level advantage can, will, and does negatively impact your stats. A BIG example of this is Caps. His stats are ... kinda mid tier at best. Caps is understood to be one of the best mid laners of all time. His stats just dont reflect it. THAT SAID! I dont specifically agree with LS's sentiments here in this specific case to the dismissive degree hes implying either. The harsh reality is more we are talking about the least smelly turd atm. Jojo was playing much better last year; hard to specifically say what the issues are.
Does Dom even watch TSM games? Yes week 1 they just picked scaling and won some teamfights later. But in their last few wins vs CLG, FLY, and DIG they laned pretty well. They played a great game against FLY in most aspects. Didn’t get out-laned anywhere and simply outplayed them in skirmishes and teamfights. TSM also completely demolished DIG and CLG through the early and mid game, NOT by just doing nothing and falling behind before winning random fights like Dom is saying. TSM almost beat first seed EG last season as well in playoffs with Chime/Solo coming in late and boat anchor Tactical from the bench. Seriously, EG had Impact, Inspired, Jojo, Danny, Vulcan and barely scraped by in game 5 with a suspect pause to win the series. Why is it so hard to give them credit? Put some respect on their name.

Wait so jojo having the best landing stats doesn't make him the best mid laner? But when Chovy did it he was the best? Even though mid and late he couldn't carry with insane stats? Right? Make it make sense. Obviously a little different but LS is so biased on certain things it's insane.
I want to say the difference is Chovy did both, best lane stats + actually performed well in the game. Meanwhile, jojo wasn't performing, yet his scouter was like "yeah but he had the best lane stats, so he wasn't actually playing bad". It's a correlation vs. causation issue.
Chovy actually carried the game by himself with his farm, especially at DRX and HLE. Not so much at Gen.G tho.
Easiest way to explain this is map presence. Losing stats in lane (cs/d, gold diff, xp diff) while pressuring the rest of the map and maintaining your teams base level advantage can, will, and does negatively impact your stats. A BIG example of this is Caps. His stats are ... kinda mid tier at best. Caps is understood to be one of the best mid laners of all time. His stats just dont reflect it. THAT SAID! I dont specifically agree with LS's sentiments here in this specific case to the dismissive degree hes implying either. The harsh reality is more we are talking about the least smelly turd atm. Jojo was playing much better last year; hard to specifically say what the issues are.

Does Dom even watch TSM games? Yes week 1 they just picked scaling and won some teamfights later. But in their last few wins vs CLG, FLY, and DIG they laned pretty well. They played a great game against FLY in most aspects. Didn’t get out-laned anywhere and simply outplayed them in skirmishes and teamfights. TSM also completely demolished DIG and CLG through the early and mid game, NOT by just doing nothing and falling behind before winning random fights like Dom is saying.
TSM almost beat first seed EG last season as well in playoffs with Chime/Solo coming in late and boat anchor Tactical from the bench. Seriously, EG had Impact, Inspired, Jojo, Danny, Vulcan and barely scraped by in game 5 with a suspect pause to win the series. Why is it so hard to give them credit? Put some respect on their name.
