This is way better than today's music
Yup I agree I was like 8 Years old when this song was blazing the Mixtapes
Facts
Holds true 4 years later, easily.
Jay in his prime, ja in his prime and x hungry as ever
Yes cir famo
Jay and X were in their prime it was Ja who was hungry. He was trying to be put on at this point.
Ja was coming up,u got that backwards buddy
'95 was Jay and DMX's prime?@@MrSilksoul
Shout out Black Child he always gave everything he had on his verses
Honestly the best on this track
with no shortage of of competition
Jay had that mafioso rap on tap 🔥
Exactly!!!!
*Dude slays it in a rap cypher*
"Oh yeah? Hold the leash..."
- DMX
Keeping it real, Ja Rule had the best verse.
They all went in though.
Ja was🔥back in the early 90’s
K M I mean the nigga has hits I can’t front and say I didn’t bump some of his shit back in the day
Jay was ill af between '95-'98.
@@KtotheG Ja was I'll pre-Ashanti...he was like a DMX lite tho, not as consumed by his demons, which made him more marketable for mainstream
Ja always been heat. Once he blew up he just had a little different style but it was / is HOT 🔥
💯💯
Ja Rule was a beast on the Mic. How can people say that he stole DMX style when Ja sounds the same today as he did back then and DMX sounded like ONYX on this track?
He didn't sound like Onyx
And Ja was like 18 here too. They knew each other for years and were great friends. Then all of a sudden when lyor cohen was on the scene now there's a problem? Lol. That snake was in X's ear turning them against each other so they would compete instead of be friends.
If you listen to X, Jay and Ja's early albums there's a lot of subliminal disses against each other especially from X and Jay. Not so much from Ja. Ja did throw a small shot at the Lox though.
@@40EastTrill nah he kinda did. And before this X used to sound just like LL cool j.
@@hiphop6045 you do know that dmx is on the last verse right?
@@oldschoolfreak98 yeah....... what's your point?
Everybody went in Black Child was freaking insane, Great song 👍👍
this track is the definition of real hip hop
Hands down, Ja opened up the event nicely, Jay-Z STOLE THE SHOW and DMX closed the curtain properly!
+Semaj Glover black child and dmx smashed this fuck jay z
damn roght
right
Kieran Kelly no fuck you and black child
Ja had the best Verse overall.
Ja was 19 dmx was 24 or 25 & jay z was 25 or 26 at the time in 1995
Ja was 18 in 95 bro. He was 17 in 94 when he dropped get the fortune with cash money click
@@hiphop6045 Ja was 19 he was born in 76
I was 12 cept Walt flew up the tree in 89 when I was 5.
@051 YM Demon's why you here then?
@051 YM Demon's that made ZERO sense, and you calling me dummy? Smh.
You a bum troll.
The Murderers (DMX,Jay-Z&Ja Rule) & Cash Money Click(Ja Rule,Chris Black,Black Child&Nemesis) featuring Jaz-O..
All time classic collabo..
I wish The Murderers would've done an entire album together..that shit would've been historic..
They did have a murderers album.it was 🔥 too.
They weren't the Murderers, they was Murder Inc.
The Murderers was Ja, caddy, black child, vita etc.
@@hiphop6045 You right, the original Murder Inc as a group was Ja, Jay & X, Cash Money Click was Ja, Chris Black & Nemesis aka O-1then Black Child & Cadillac Tah came on later after Nem got locked up & then they just became Murder Inc records.
Chris Black and Nemesis got hot verses too! 🔥
OK très bien et Cocol dit ISMO Manadja1er Cocol
Literally everybody on this track killed it
This just an all-around sick collabo word up
X added the gasoline to the 🔥
X killed it here not surprising.
I swear this beat give me chills is so hypnotic and raw and gritty
This X flow reminds scarface (face-mob) but a lot more hungry and grimey... salute to dmx this dude have heart!!!
his favorite rapper btw
I swear most 20-something year old brothas have lighter voices today. I miss deep, rugged voices' prominence in Rap and Hip-Hop.
Dudes today have less testosterone than they did 20-30 years ago.
dudes even move like females now lol
@@KtotheG I honestly bet you're right.
@@hiphop90s18 Yeah. That's so disappointing. I really rather that laidback (Jay-Z, Nas, etc.) or wild movement (Busta Rhymes, Ol' Dirty Bastard, etc.) or something in the middle (Craig Mack, Method Man, Mr. Cheeks, etc.). Heck, even female Rappers used to move like that more back in the day without even being non-heterosexual. 😆
Nah, just auto-tune.
Dmx last verse omfg 😲 🔥
The bottom line: DMX is on another level on this song compared to the others.
DMX KILLED IT
@Duke Silver Ja was nice back then i ain't gonna lie.
I agree! Dmx is the best on it
On deck one of x top 3 vs
A cruddy nigga!!!! 🐐 🔥
Ja Rules verse is the second verse on his song "Nigguz Theme" from his first album.
dipset315 it's the opposite but yeah
DMX verse is on "Murdergram"
compared to the shit thats out now, this is like whole different genre of music lol
90's, pre gay sell out of the best art.
ahmed12345678900 The old rap is on another level of hip hop compared to today's hip hop!
ahmed12345678900 djkid nu in real talk of newyor
Stop talking shit yall just gotta dig.
Fuck nowadays "hip hop"
Young Black Child?!!! Yes! official
"Giuliani got me and my crimeys thinking grimey can't hustle no more gotta get this money thru muscle for sure"
5:16 ....man that line gets to me every time I hear it~
Just listen to how many vicious bars are on this ONE track. Today's artists could NEVER do this. These were mainstream dudes that could SELL RECORDS and also get on ANY TRACK and KILL IT. I miss these days do much. Shout out to J Cole, one of the last try lyricist out there. People name more if you can.
Enters the career killer 50... LL can do it 🤔 Nas can do it
@olkthagod is one of the last ones too
DMX is smart as hell because he'll reuse verses which a lot of rappers tend not to do. Sometimes it's hit or miss and doesn't leave much new rare lyricism to find but it's an interesting fact.
I noticed that, he’ll re-use certain verses and change up the flow, slow it down or speed it up. Change the tone of his voice in his delivery such as yelling out certain parts of the verse for emphasis or being more smooth. He was on a whole different level from today’s rappers, may he Rest In Peace. He is the GOAT.
All these verses were re-used
Something Pac done and then Nipsey
a lot of rappers re use verses
Long live X, this is one of my fave freestyle from him ever 🔥
Whatever happened to music!! I remember when music was GOOD like this in the 90's it's incredible how it's changed..
I hear you
Faizah Cyanide facts . crazy smh
Faizah Cyanide it changed to better or worst. Now adays music has everbody dancing and enjoying life. But this generation music is lacking the lyrical word play, and metaphor.
Its incredibly "sad" how it changed
Shits still there.just gotta dig for it
I felt the need to revisit this track, R.I.P DMX,Legends live 4eva!
I only wished that I could've heard this collaboration back in 95' instead of 2014
DMX he just went in hard Ja verse was 🔥 and Jay Z killed this shit as well
Crazy that they were all considered underground artists during this time and all of them blew up in the late 90's
This what we need to come back. Fucking straight heat raw rap
I've been searching for this song for 12 year since I heard it on a mixtape. Even the Interent couldn't find it...til now. Thanks for posting!
riding round with this is a life sentence, so much DOPE on 1 track
funny how blackchild doesn't get credit on this

Na DMX destroyed this beat!
Absolutely class! Legend!
Ultimate Warrior DMX is raw
Dmx rap this on his album
When I sci-fi ‘Kappa Kappa’, the step show starts
Even in the barbershop, you don’t want no part. (Jay Z snapped effortlessly)
I dont get the when I Sci Fi Kapp Kappa part. I know its greek fraternity but I dont get the metaphor or double entendre. Sounds like he just named a fraternity.
@@lifestraight same...
@@nhlanhlamala2381 On 2nd thought I think he talking about busting his gun in sci-fi?? Idk
@@lifestraight back in the day black frats were known for doing those step shows (like marching or tap dancing only more masculine) i don't think it's a thing anymore
@@smokythecameraman yeah but what is the metaphor?
ja used this verse on nigguz theme from venni vetti vecci .. Classic !

That tape was crazy I used to rock it!!!!! It's time to build!!!! Freestyles from ja rule, and dmx as well. That was a illllll tape. I liked dmx side because of the features like this song.
when lyrics mattered, real rap shit here
From now and then rap has changed drastically!!!!!!
@96and4eva DMX Jay-Z and Ja should make a whole album together and repair this damaged rap game.Any song I've heard with all 3 was always fire.
Had to replay X's verse 5 times tbh , mad ting dat!!
Find out if the niggas fast errr than the trigger blast
Same DMX verse from Murdergram from Jay Z Streets Is Watching soundtrack.
Still a hot one no matter
DMX THE BEST REALEST RAPPER ALIVE
He's dead
one of the hottest beats I ever heard in my life so airy and warm.
you what??? not funny
RESPECT REAL HIP HOP !
next hiphop award show should be dmx, jayz, ja rule cypher
How have I not heard this earlier this is a gem
X as a member of Onyx with that flow and they would be relevant still😀
FACTS. He did sound like he could have been influenced by Onyx on this.
Actually they worked together
@@elmalanmalan2175 shut em down
X was the reason that group fell off
Imagine if big l was on this track too, this would’ve been untouchable
Comparing this joint to all these rap songs today is like Kobe challenging a whole elementary basketball team, they can’t compete.

RIP DMX! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Ja Rule, MOST UNDERRATED LYRICIST EVER!
Dmx went in on this one!
I still have that mag! there was mad hype that they were gonna make an album which would of been fire!
You have to be a smart person to understand jay-z style
Fr it’s Effortless and Deep
