Having learnt to ring at St. Georges in Jesmond, I used to also ring at Fenham on occasions. Beautiful peal of bells and lovely to hear Stedman rung well on these bells. Such a glorious method when rung properly.
What lovely bells and how nice are harmonically tuned bells. Surely in my opinion the very best are Yorkminster, for some reason those pre war heavy tenors had a wonderful drone to them.
Lovely musical ring. Perfect striking. Haven’t rung in years. Makes me want to rediscover it. ❤
I'm absolutely sure that you would be welcomed back with open arms! Go for it :)
I haven't rung in years and I live in York......
A musical method on a pleasent set of bells... My days, I could endlessly listen to these!
They are stunning in the metal, well worth a visit.

Fenham are absolutely gorgeous and must be one of my favourite eights!
Is that a Carillon popping into shot bottom right...
Yes, there's also a practice clavier on the other side!
@@timmeh1507 Wow, that's something you rarely seen today
These have a weird echo sound! But I like it!
These are a superb set of bells. Perhaps the echo is partly that my back is to the stairs and the door was a bit open?
Yeah. They sound very singy and musical.
I would very happily spend 3 hours on these :)
whitechapel always were after developing their tuning ! ballymena's back bells sing like nothing else !!
