+TheTrueFreeStyle Not in real life. ;) 1) GoPro was mounted in it's waterproof case. 2) Mounted on a aliminum door thats the rattling sound. 3). Underneath the balcony there is a sub array of 12 l'acoustics subs. ;)
+VolumeLux Why did they put the subs under the balcony you're on? That seems like a weird place to put them, especially if the mains are located on either side of the stage like I would normally assume they would be...
+Alex Berry There are one main in each corner 4 in total. Sub placements does not really matter in a setup like that. The reason the subs are not behind or in front of the DJ is simply because of the limited space under the stage. Only 60cm high.
+Preyesh M In my personal opinion the optics in the beam fixtures are terrible. That's about the sharpest the beam get without using the gobo wheel. For haze we use Unique 2.1 cheap, reliable and great output, only downside with uniques are the "thick" haze. But works for nightclubs.
OMG WHY WASN'T THERE A HUGE DISCO BALL ON THE CEILING? U FUCKING ROCK!! BEST LIGHTING GUY SINCE ME!!!: 😜 1082 BROADWAY THE CHURCH AND CLUB VINYL 1996 THROUGH 2002 RISE NIGHTCLUB OLD SCHOOL LIGHT WAVE RESEARCH INTELLABEMS TRACK SPOTS MARRTTIN 250S etc WHOLE HOG FRIEND!! I'M NOW 50 YEARS OLD I NEED HER HELP TO GET BACK!! SERIOUSLY I NEED TO RUN LIGHTING
so how do they know what effect to drop without knnowing what happens next in the song like they could drop spazzy strobey lights but the song could have dropped to a slow melodic section
VolumeLux its a good job im not a dj cause man id do that kinda shiit all the time just to fuck with you like let a track build up annd switch in unchained melody on the drop
+VolumeLux Impressive. I am 17 and also working with GrandMA2. Can you make kind of a tutorial, where you show you programming style for preparing for such a show? Its so impressive, that you trigger this all completely live! On my last event i struggled a little bit on responding fast enough to the action...
+VolumeLux Yea, I'm 13 my dad Is a sound guy and I liked the lighting side since I was 10 and I did some research and started learning MA over my normal console. Hope to see some tutorials
The lighting was kind of "all full on". Blinkers and quick scanners to instant black. Should have one background light in my opinion and other lights would complement that. I would not be able to enjoy the too fasst blinking light. Better make a show with lights instead of making them all random going with the rythm.
your transitions are sloppy, you kept rehashing the same tilt effect over most of this vid with the 700's. your buildups are predictable-using white open strobes at every crescendo is...boring.. All in all, it is a slap bang bunch of effects with no real connection in between states. For your credit, you did catch a couple of breaks with the slow fades nicely.
Jeremy Mair It's flash and trash for a EDM event in a Nightclub. Im Trying not to take it to seriusly. People were happy and Thought the lights flashed cool. Thats what matters in the end. I do lighting for concerts, corporate and TV broadcast aswell. Just not as fun to upload to youtube. So yes. I guess This is not cutting your seal of aprove. But to be honest i never asked for it! I got paid and the client was happy with the style. Uploading This to youtube because alot of kids out there like to see This stuff.
Have you seen a sound active light before m8,all they do is flicker between colors and randomly with a random strobe every now and then. Beyond that, when you're able to operate lights half as well as this guy then you can talk,I know how hard it is,especially in live EDM so I think you need to learn up on lighting
that transition at 6:30 though... that was sweet.
Duuude the Lighting is Awesome! I like to see it how you support the Music with the "right" Lighting!
The best nightclub lightning I've ever seen!
Seen some like- best times and places ( old Limelight veteran) it’s an art for sure
Bravos- some nice tacks as well
What is the name for the light that keeps flashing the white light very fast like at 3:07 ? That is common in techno parties ?
Most likely there martin atomics 3000 there a very good and bright strobe light
Nice stuff man. I like how the rig is making noise when the bass hits haha.
oh my god thats a awesome setup!!!
The sound of the room there on the balcony is nasty af ^^
But nice Video and lighting

+VolumeLux That makes sense :D 12 l'acoustics subs o.0 how big is the club ^^

VolumeLux Yea that's a weird system design, but I can now totally see why the subs aren't in front of the stage or beneath it; no room!
This is so cool, where did you learn to do this? I want to get into doing this stuff too, where should i start?
Might getting into doing some tutorials. Subscribe to get updated!
thats whopper well done
Nice vids guys, lighting looks amazing. The throw of the beams are really good and pretty wide, did u use,: smoke, haze, co2 ?
+Preyesh M In my personal opinion the optics in the beam fixtures are terrible. That's about the sharpest the beam get without using the gobo wheel. For haze we use Unique 2.1 cheap, reliable and great output, only downside with uniques are the "thick" haze. But works for nightclubs.
+VolumeLux oh right , i thought a gobo was being used and the beams were purposely like that.
+Preyesh M First shot in the video gobo + prism was used ofc.
I can imagine its hard to hit every part/transition perfectly? How do you deal with that?
Do you know the exact order of each song beforehand or are you busking the whole time?

so does a dj submit his set to you before a gig so you can plan out the lighting or do you just go fully live and try and match up as best you can
No. Totally live.
so how do they know what effect to drop without knnowing what happens next in the song like they could drop spazzy strobey lights but the song could have dropped to a slow melodic section
It's a fealing. You just kinda know when you do this 5 days a week.
VolumeLux its a good job im not a dj cause man id do that kinda shiit all the time just to fuck with you like let a track build up annd switch in unchained melody on the drop
@@volumelux253 awesome, but is there some BPM match for the lights ?
awesome man! How did you get into this? I'd really love to myself!
Awesome!
Awesome! How old are you?
+XtremeTech 19!

+ryan k Also, where those house Sharpys? And what where the scanners.
the make of the the scanners were qtx light titans or chauvet intimidator scan 305 IRC
How many lights should I have for a small nightclub? 3400 sq ft? I don't wanna go overboard but I love this vid!
Wow there are scanners!?
Looks like both movers and scanners
or what program or console do you use
GrandMA2 Light
hope you can do some tutorials on how you nake it sync it like that
Are you using your Grandma2 or is it the venues?
The MA2 light is owned by our company!
+VolumeLux on
+VolumeLux ok*

so do you do this in sound active or how?
jaime alquisira He does it all live.

Sorry, this isn't going to cut it.
Jeremy Mair cut what..?
VolumeLux mustard.
Jeremy Mair what are you on about...

Honestly it doesn't look much better than it would on sound active. Lame shows like this are why less clubs are hiring lighting guys these days.
Sarcasm doesn't work well on the internet mate.
