John Fidellaga won the lipsync. She made it clear that you dont have to do A LOT to be the MOST. She also added some comedic parts and expressed the song. Popstar bench lipsync is just messy, the props and tricks did not land well, the ruveal was underwhelming and all this unnecessary movements. Basically she was doing the MOST for the LEAST. A lot of people do not agree with the result. Popstar bench should have left and just comeback to Allstars when her outfits are better. She will just continue to serve mediocracy until the finals(if she will make it)
Yeah that’s my sad thought too. We know that Bench’s looks will not go beyond what she has now…. :(
John's runways are one of the things I look forward to seeing every week.

I have friends that has the same experience and became undetectable after medication. I just hope that the stigma will stop and people will be more supporting and accepting. Because people with HIV nowadays dies not because of the disease but with the stigma. They are too ashamed to seek help because they are thinking that they won't be accepted. Is it me or was it kind of a missed opportunity to have the Rusical have a bit more kundiman in there since they referenced the iconic Aawitan Kita? Though I understand there's only so much you could cram in there with Wicked. Oh well. I would drop some links to Aawitan Kita and Concert at the Park performances here but it's kinda hard to find good examples on the fly haha

I think Bench did a little better in the lipsync, but I also think that John's 3 HIGH placements should have warranted her a little boost. It won't be the first time production gives a good-performing queen a pass in a LSFYL (Sapphira, Q, etc.). I mean they saved Minty from being sent home by Brigiding...TWICE.
Bench has been safe for nearly the entire season and she was scammed out of her outfits. I think it's rather clear that she has nothing much left to show at that point in time. And it's not like she's connected to any of the major storylines at play.
I dunno...I'm torn.
The only way I see her in the Top 4 is for her to pull a rabbit out of a hat in a comedy/acting challenge or the inevitable makeover challenge.

Both Bench and JF are not part of major story lines, but I think they saved Bench because she really did great in the Rusical and it was kinda unfair to put her in the bottom just because of the outfit..

But frustrating lang ang lantaran na favoritism kay angel ng producers. She should have been in the lip sync battle this epi 😮
To be fair, I am super biased with Angel too 😅😅😅 but to me it would have been a toss-up between John and Angel vs Bench--- and I would’ve expected Bench to sashay away!

I am so so conflicted with the results 😢 Sana double shantay nalang or lip sync for the win nalang kasiiii sobrang unfair lang ng judging imo. John deserved to stay.. Myx also deserved that win. I don’t know I don’t know.. for a track record of safe safe safe bottom, I think Bench needed to go. I feel like the judges are always relying on their biases based on how they know the contestants outside of drag race. Popstar bench is popular and she’s good at performing but she hasn’t been standing out this season. John has been at the top so many times too and she always delivers so idk. I don’t hate any queen but it’s just…..

Noooo .... John was killing it. I can't believe they let her go so early in the competition. 😭 Her part was small but she stood out the most to me among the mean girls.
The weakest for me for both performance and runway were Popstar Bench and Angel. I feel the judges are a bit biased toward Angel because she is so likable, and I feel having Precious there as judge and guest in Untucked gave Popstar Bench a leg up. The girls' reputations outside the show should not matter in the competition. What they're showing on the show should be the only consideration, and so far, Bench has not been giving it.
Zymba, Myx, and Tita Baby were perfect for their roles. Dasurve to be the tops. 👌

Mas gusto ko si John dito. Magaling naman sya sa musical, so charming and her lip sync was emotive w/o gimmicks. Only the kumot pants let her down basically. At nasa top sya before for at least 2 episodes

This was the first lip sync where I would have been sad either way, but I agreed with the decision. Popstar Bench just gave me all the emotion, even though I don't understand what the song is all about. John's lip-sync was also very good. It was a close call. Also, the rusical was really great, but we have had a lot of great rusicals lately

I’m glad you explained the runway bc I was confused until the 3rd look hit the runway haha. PH3 has been pretty great about giving translations for the runways on screen so I was surprised they didn’t this week!
Also, I’m so tired of Jiggly’s judging. Why contradict Mama Pao asking Angel to switch it up? Angel SHOULD show versatility(as much as I LOVE her), Jiggly telling her to keep it one note and not expand her wheelhouse will never service her in this competition or in the future😂
P.S. are ppl in the Philippines super religious? I cringed out when Zymba quoted Corinthians💀
Yep, the Philippines is a VERY Catholic country, religion is like indistinguishable with morality and ethics for the majority of Filipinos.
Yeah I wish they had mentioned in the translation right at the beginning about the Blanket = Kumot = Kum Haute!
On religiousness, while I found the Bible quote cringey, it’s very much in Zymba’s character to do so. Her name is also a play on “simba”/ “to go to church”. If you had watched S1, I remember Turing praying over the girls before the Rusical as well.

On religion: Yes, mostly super religious. Of course there are people who aren't that devoted, but the Philippines is considered mostly conservative for this reason-- religious beliefs mix into societal norms WAY more than they should. You've seen contestants talk about Gender Expression/Equality (SOGIE) bills getting held up here. This, Divorce, and Abortion bills are getting held up here because of religious pressure.
Of course, this also results in people with religious/societal trauma such as yourself. But these same people who suffered (and more who support them) are gradually bringing about the needed change.
Sad to see John go. I agree, she should've stayed. I also love Bench, however, the looks served since Day 1 were not at par and got called out. Too bad the designers she chose sabotaged these looks. 😢

Im so confused with john F's elimination! She was consistently on top (almost there!) and her runways was amazing... I agree with the judges that she was overshadowed on the rusical... Popstar bench was 50/50, she did great in the rusical but the runway was dragging her 😢. Maybe, im just not ready for john F to go... 😢😢😢

I don't like the Rusical TBH, walang build up tapos ang limited lang ng highlight ng performance or at least yung makakakuha ng highlight. Sobrang 🍎 to 🍊 yung comparison. Parang making most out of it lang ang labanan. Eh kaso ung 3 roles like ni Angel, John P (JP) and Khianna, mahirap magpiga sa ganon kung wala na talaga from the start.
Unrelated: Kaya ewan ko dito kay Precious Paula Nicole, on your season, di naman ikaw ang pinakamagaling sa Rusical nyo, sadyang si Reg lang ang judge nyo at ikaw ang kumuha ng character nya. Kaya tama lang sinabi ni Angel, na hindi sya pinalaking sugapa. I mean, u won DRPH but Marina still do better drag.
Going back: I don't want John P (JP) to go but yes, I think Popstar Bench (PB) was a good decision overall:
- Maxi Challenge: PB had more highlights and magaling talaga sya dito. Again because of that piece na wala naman talagang mahihighlight masyado, so overshadowed talaga si JP
- Runway: Lamang lang ng kaunti si JP kaso mukhang unfinished. Si PB naman, week after week, parang Nina West ang arrive, falls flat in the runway. But I'm not saying as bad as Nina West, sadyang kung icocompare lang sa iba talaga.
- Lip Sync: Mas magaling si JP, not because hindi magaling si PB but because JP utilized the lip sync to display character and talent rather than antics. Pero syempre, hindi naman sobrang so much bad si PB, sadyang lamang lang si JP.
So kung itally, nasagip lang si PB ng Maxi Challenge. Although eliminated, JP already marked in the competition (memorable sya TBH). Tsaka ang pleasant ng aura nya, walang toxic behavior (hopefully) at alam mong gusto lang patunayan na di lang sya social media queen.
PB robbed JF on this episode. I agree with you, she should do better on the following episodes. I don't hate her but this is a comptetion kasi.
I just wish she went home now so that she can have a comeback on All Stars with better looks :(

well sa totoo lang may point naman talaga sinabi ni khiana actually para sakin si myx nag stand out sa rusical. pero sa runway talaga si zymba ang umangat sa lahat.. un nga lang ung pag deliver ni khiana di maganda at wrong timing nga ika ni tita baby. siguro dahil na din sa lasing si khiana..
People in reddit are questioning Bench on the runway dresses where shes placing blame with her collab designers. Theyre saying all the queens had the same ample time for their runways and bench would need to have had collaborated on the clothes with the designers and touch point on what needs to be altered to the vision she has. As she has been in the drag scene for yrs they feel a bit sus for some people because she def couldve solved the runway issue if she gave more time to talk to her designers. What do you all think?🫢
