Fill It Up With Food is Back!

It’s the 5th Anniversary of Fill It Up With Food!
In 2015, Jack Kelly-Brinston wanted to earn a Northern Lights Award in Beavers. With the help of his younger sister Gabrielle, he wanted to organize an event where the entire community could donate food for those in need. Mayor Barry Manuel and Council fully supported the kids’ idea and asked if the Town could help them make it happen. With that, Fill It Up With Food was born, and to date has collected over 6800 food donations!
Now, after a two-year postponement, Fill It Up With Food is back and bigger than ever!
Starting Monday, April 4th, residents can drop off NON-PERISHABLE food donations to the Town Hall Front Lobby (open Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM). As in past years, the goal is to “fill up” the lobby, so every donation helps!
In addition, to mark the 5th Anniversary of Fill It Up With Food, the Kelly-Brinston siblings will be hosting a COMMUNITYY EVENT with PUBLIC SKATING AND TREATS from 6:30-7:30 PM on Friday, April 8th, at the Windsor Stadium. Admission will be by non-perishable food donation.
ALSO, the Kelly-Brinston siblings will host a COMMUNITY SCREENING of the movie “Hop” at the Classic Theatre on Friday, April 15th at 2:00 PM. Admission will be by non-perishable food donation.
We hope that our community will show their support to this fantastic fundraiser by making donations and attending these great local events. Thanks to the Kelly-Brinston family for their organizing efforts again!
